I am whelmed
I like Collin and he’s a good long reliever but if he’s the planned fifth starter then that is disappointing. I know that I should expect this from the Ricketts but it would nice to be wrong.

Well, it’s a pitcher. On the older side. I have sample bias but he got shelled the two games I attended when he pitched (Cincy/STL) He’s going to be 36.
Solid starter can’t be mad about this one bit. Stepped up when Steele went out and it’s about time we got some good news

Rea grew on me throughout the season. He became a pretty reliable arm in the 2nd half of the season.
Everyone liked that
Gave him what looks like the same $ as his option and then added a 2027 club option. No issue there. Saw a 6.5 guarantee but Im guessing there’s one of those buyouts in place of the 2027 option, no idea how much.
Watch every deal be only for one year

Lot of this coming. One year deals, low risk, insignificant money. Better to have depth then not, but I wouldn’t count on Rea producing in a similar way

It’s a one year deal with the looming lockout, correct? I’m expecting to see a lot of one year deals across the league this off-season.
Nice short contract so Ricketts doesn’t have to pay anything during the lockout.
He was great for us last year. But hopefully this doesn’t mean he’s our 5th starter.
