[David Vassegh] During the benches-clearing incident in Game 7 of the WS, the player who chirped the most was Blue Jays closer Jeff Hoffman. Multiple Dodgers veterans screamed at Hoffman saying, “You don’t want to get in this game.”

As a Phillies fan, can confirm that they probably didn’t want him to get in that game

It’s interesting hearing this and seeing how Blake Snell kept his mouth shut after Rojas hit the HR knowing that he had to go back out there.
This sounds like dodgers fan fiction. And I’m not convinced it isn’t
That made me happy to know that the guy chirping the most (not a snowballs chance in hell Wrobleski was throwing at him) got Miggy Ro’d!
please jomboy have this footage
All I know is Hoffman looks like Cole Phelps a little bit
Yeah as a career Phillies and Rockies pitcher I can imagine he doesn’t like them lmfao
Can /r/baseball stop evolving into /r/dodgers?
Are we sure it was Dodgers vets saying “You don’t want to get in this game” and not Blue Jays fans?
I mean… even if this is true. He is a closer in the MLB, during game 7 of the World Series in which he was looking likely to pitch. He’s naturally going to be cocky as hell. Probably used it to get amped up.
Hell, I’m a nobody who was 8 beers deep and was chirping some mad shit from section 535.
Sometimes you get burned. That’s baseball.
Blue Jays are known for chirping.
The Greek tragedy gets more tragic
Barely felt bad for him before, don’t feel bad for him at all anymore
Is it Spring Training yet? Is the second consecutive winter of the Dodgers over yet? Someone, please help!
“If you take it there, I’m taking it further. Psst, that’s something you don’t wanna do” – Miggy Ro probably
Sore winners.
You need confidence to close in the majors. I don’t know how this is even a discussion point. Pre game cockiness is one thing but players get amped up during games and especially during high tension moments of the game. Both teams SHOULD have bravado even if it’s guaranteed that one side will lose.
Brawl? LOL
The stories about this game are going to continue to come out for years. Questionable decisions, in-fighting, etc. Interviews, books, and podcasts from players, coaches, clubhouse attendants, etc. will all offer different POV into the collapse, reopening the wound over and over again.
How do I know this?
Super Bowl 49. People still talk about the ending and everything that went down with that game. It’s been dissected every which way. Welcome to hell, Jays fans.

Edited for clarity
Rule 2
Jeff Hoffman led the world in home runs allowed for a reliever, had a -1.0 WAR from May-onwards, and gave up a game tying home run to a utility infielder with no pop in Game 7 of the World Series when his team was 2 outs away from winning it all.
This dude is not allowed to talk shit on the field for at least 12 months.
Vasssegh is the man 🙏
Now I really hope one of that veteran was Miguel Rojas for an epic comeback story
The Blue Jays chirping. How suiting
That guy is an asshole I’m so happy he blew that save and was crying in the locker room after.
This is the same guy who screamed at our dugout for absolutely no reason after the final out of the ALDS.
Keep to the Dodgers sub.
Apparently they’re not just awesome baseball players, but the Dodgers are also clairvoyant
