How much uh how much did you enjoy uh the night from start to finish? Um yeah, man. It was it was incredible. It was incredible to uh I got just lots of distractions here at the moment. But uh you know, it’s so nice to have the family around and just to experience what I went through today and uh to have them by my side. That’s that’s what it’s all about. So, it’s very special day for me. And it seemed like they really involved awesome like like being on the ice and everything. Just what goes through your head when you’re when you’re witnessing that? Um you know what? I I tried to just soak in every single minute and just uh you know, it’s really full circle. People that started with me are here now. Um you know, I’m not going to lie, I was a little anxious to drop the puck and just kind of start the game, but uh you know, I just tried to you know, take it with a grain of salt and enjoy the day as much as possible. Do you have a favorite memory or something that happened today in the course of the game or the ceremony that really stood out to you? Um yeah, I mean that that video tribute was, you know, it almost made me cry to be honest with you. So it was uh it was tough to kind of hold it together. I’m sure um you know I’ll get a little more emotional about it later, but uh you know like I mentioned just to have my parents on the ice, my my wife and daughter and uh people that have really supported me. But I’m assuming that’s your first solo lap. Yeah. So that was that came as a surprise to me. Um you know I I don’t know. I hadn’t been on the ice like that alone in a long time. So uh you know I think I missed my first three shots on net. I didn’t even I didn’t even hit the net on three shots. So I was Did you good good observation? Um but yeah, like I mentioned, it’s just uh you know, cool just to um you know, takes me back for sure. Take takes you back memor down memory lane. Did you do a rookie lap though when you came into the league or was that before? Um I honestly don’t think I did. I don’t think I did because uh I came in on a pretty crazy situation on an emergency callup basis. So it was uh it was it was a little bit bizarre, but um you know, I’m glad I got it today. 999 games. Yeah, man. Thankfully, you know, everything went according to plan and uh it was just such a wonderful day and I can’t thank the Flames um organization and the fan base and my teammates enough for for such a special day. What’s that moment like to look at that silver stick to get your get it in your hands, all that? Yeah, that that’s probably what I was most excited about is to get a hold of that thing and uh you know, it comes with your pattern and everything. So, it was a exact replica of my stick. Uh it caught me it kind of caught me by surprise how heavy it was. You know I didn’t didn’t realize that. So uh you know that that caught me by surprise, but it was just uh you know that’s something unique and that’s something that’s going to be uh displayed at at the Cadri Household. And the mini stick too. You get the the mini stick. The replica. Yeah, the mini stick. Where’s the mini stick? Where’d you put it? I don’t know. I’m underneath it. Okay, good. Good. So you still have it. How did it look? It look good. Yeah, it was heavy, too. Yours is heavy, too. All right. It’s a small stick that heavy. Nice. Nice that I wasn’t the only one. But uh it has your face on it. Nice. Just nice to include the family. It’s nice to include the family and everything. Yeah. How’s the starting lineup before the game? How special was that? Uh that Yeah, that was one of my favorite parts for sure. I mean, she was she was a little bit nervous all day and uh you know, it’s it’s nice that uh now they can kind of understand what I go through on a daily basis. Uh you know, my wife and my daughter. So, it’s not it’s not that easy to um be in front of everybody at at all times, but um yeah, just it’s just uh that was that was probably the highlight of my day, hurrying the lineup. Yes, it’s a special only regardless, but what does it mean to get the win on top of it to kind of finish the whole thing off? Extra special. Um you know, just uh the the way, you know, the team came out on fire. uh you could tell that you know we we wanted this one and uh you know I’m so appreciative for that for uh for the guys around me just you know wanting to maximize how special this day was for me and understand the magnitude of of how special it was. So um you know uh you know it was it was it was incredible to watch like the bling or or other things like how did your teammates play factory? Yeah, that’s this is this is on them. So this is coming out of their pockets which is which is great. So uh you know we uh we we reciprocated for sure. So we exchanged gifts today and um you know this is a day uh it’s going to be uh you know not forgotten. What do you the goal? Yeah. How’d that feel? Yeah, that felt uh that felt pretty good too. I mean just the sequence of events that happened today. It’s tough to really rank like what’s most most special. Um, you know, I put them all up there, but you know, scoring a goal in your thousandth game, I mean, that’s doesn’t get much better than that. Do you have a place selected like for where you’re going to display the silver stick or have you talked about that with uh right in the center of my living room? It’s going It’s going right on the center table. That’s where it’s going. Did you Did you know that Joel was making pass that the whole time? Uh, I had a feeling cuz they had a forward playing defense and usually forwards don’t don’t play defense that well. So, uh, I kind of figured he was he was dishing, so I was ready for it. Is Is Joel getting an extra gift for for that pass? Absolutely not. Absolutely not. No more gifts. You know, you’re only the second player to ever score in his thousandth game after. Really? Wow. It’s pretty cool. I mean, stats like these, uh, you know, I never get sick of hearing. So, I’m like I like I mentioned, I’m just I’m very thankful and have lots of gratitude of of, uh, you know, how today unfolded. And you know, it’s uh it’s incredible.
