Why did we even re-sign Tsyplakov if Roy clearly hates him so much? McLean brings absolutely nothing to the lineup and has some of the worst metrics on the team, but apparently he’s a must play.
Rittich’s better bang for the buck. Takes only one million from salary cap
Maclean provides constant hustle which will always stand out to coaches. He may not provide much in terms of offense but he’s always mixed up in the play somehow. Sure Tsyplakov is a better hockey player but his turnovers will always be outweighed by Macleans hustle.
