Teryl Austin Won’t Commit To Permanently Keeping Jalen Ramsey At Safety

  1. He can be more impactful as a corner or in that Rover role so if they can get competent safety play and communication outside of him why would they keep him there.

  2. Why would he commit? The last thing the Steelers need to do to fix their problems is tell Reddit their strategy….

  3. Why would he? If deshon comes back and dugger continues balling, Ramsey can still move to nickel corner or go outside. If CB gets thin would you rather put peppers or ramsey in man coverage?

Ramsey is the best DB on the team, no reason to permanently keep him anywhere.

  4. Jalen Ramsey is a good football player…. Reminds me of a more physical (and better version) of Deangelo Hall. Hall played all over the place at the end of his career and was effective

  5. There’s zero reason to. Ramsey should likely stay there as he’s only going to get older, but still.

  6. That’s not up to our defensive coordinator in name only anyway. That’s Tomlins to make.

  7. Good, why would he? No reason to make your plans public.

This is like the morons whining bc tomlin said nothing will change after the Bengals game. Of course things will change, but he doesn’t owe us any information.

  8. I don’t pay any attention to things players and coaches say in those settings. They have nothing to gain by telling the truth and often something to gain by not telling it.

That said, if Ramsey isn’t playing safety in 3 weeks.

  9. I don’t think the Steelers should permanently commit to his employment as Defensive Coordinator
