[Philadelphia 76ers] Nurse: We’re in a stage where, we got to continue to show fight. I told you from the beginning, we’re trying to dig ourself out of some stuff, from last year. The attitude and the fight needs to be something that we continue to established.

When asked if tired legs, reason for bad start?
>I don’t think we were quite ready to go at the start. They’re being sitting there for a couple a days, and will come super fast. Got to make sure we’re ready to run back. Bu again I thought, our offense, kind of ignited their offense. Turnovers to start, got us back on our heels a bit.
When asked if he had any thoughts about pulling the guys out?
> I did, for sure. We were considering it, and then we made a run back with a couple minutes to get it down to 10 or 11 or 9 or something like that. We’re in a stage where, we got to continue to show fight. I told you from the beginning, we’re trying to dig ourself out of some stuff, from last year. The attitude and the fight need to be something that we continue to established. And once we started making a little run, I was not going to pull the plug on the run until it was time. And to be honest, I’m proud, I’m glad we left them in, proud of the way they played, tried to continue to fight.
**Maxey**
Asked about the start of the game, and how they got back
>Nurse did a good job, taking me out of the game, first, cause I was disgusting early. T-wide came in, Q-dot came in, Drummond, lot of energy. Starters piggy off of them. And then, honestly I think we just ran out of gas if I’m being completely honest with you. It was a tough one. Made last night hurt even more. But it’s okay, move on, game Saturday.
Asked about Trendon Watford?
>He’s going to talk, a lot. They guard him like 4s, he can handle the ball well. He can make plays, he does a good job of that, defensive and offense, when guys are denying me.
When asked about the ending and not getting pulled?
>We still fought, we still fought. Everyone on the court played extremely hard, we scored, we got rebounds, we got stops, we played really hard. Was an easy game, to say let’s just chalk it. Go out there, lose by 40 or 50, and we play again on Saturday. Liked the competitive spirit of our team.
**When did your shot feel like it was back in the offseason?**
>I hurt my hand early in pre-season last year. I think 3rd game something like that. Was messing with me for a long time. Hurt my finger again, at the end of the year. Took a whole month and a half off, my finger was still healing. So once it healed, I think I can shoot. Being working on it a lot. I realized how I’m going to get shots now. Last year, first time playing without Joel and those guys, going to figure out how I’m going to get my shots, how to get my threes off.
The attitude will never be established if Joel remains a “leader” on this team. His loser mentality the second things don’t go his way is infectious and the reason this team has never made it far.
I respect it
Best way to do that is change coach.
What is Nurse supposed to do well? I’m not really clear.
Where is our Defense ⁉️
I won’t be blaming Nurse this season he is who he is it’s the fans that support him and ownerships fault when Maxey gets hurt.
If you want fight why not play the guys who show the most of it and sit those who are lacking?
Fatigue was ultimately what got us, and of course, we got another back to back immediately. Can’t blame Nurse for not pulling tho because we kept closing the gap and if we weren’t so tired we may have actually pulled it off which is a good sign that our team has a ton more fight in it than last year
I support Coach Nurse pushing for early season success to build upon ) At some point however load management will need to be adjusted for our early season key players.
