[Nightengale] Bo Bichette becomes the first player to receive the $22.05 million qualifying offer, and is guaranteed to reject it

  1. Blue Jays are a 2025 CBT team, so the benefit they get would be a 4th round compensation pick, not much really.

The team signing him would lose more, and therefore this suppresses his market just a bit and gives the Blue Jays a bidding advantage. What the signing team would lose varies.

  2. I like his bat. I think he can shore up 2B for the dodgers and then slide to third when max retires, even.

  3. If he somehow follow Bieber’s unpredicted action, the whole Toronto will shout in joy. Not expecting it though, and would rather long term deal.

  4. He’s a great player but I really hope he stays with the jays. They were such an incredible team.

  5. Guaranteed?

Never underestimate the ability of professional athletes to seriously injure themselves doing something stupid and then try to cover it up.
