Can’t express how odd it is to see national media pundits making such calculated efforts to spread false stories about a small market team like the Titans. Almost all of the local reporters have disproven this rumor yet big media continues to push the narrative.

It’s super frustrating. It’s so obviously being pushed artificially. Just look at Nichols’ word choice. She purposefully didn’t state where the reports were coming from (a Boston/Patriots fan page).

Rickey Scoops, who is most likely an agent, had reported that the Patriots had inquired about a couple of Titans players and were looking to add a RB or EDGE.
Bottom line is this, Amy has a reputation of emotional decision-making and pettiness. That reputation is likely why teams are expressing their thoughts to national reporters.
Honestly I realize how tin hatty it sounds, but Vrabel sends shit to Russini all the time, it wouldn’t surprise me if he or someone in the NE were annoyed they couldn’t get a deal done and planted that seed just to shit on Amy.
For all of Vrabels positives he is a fucking closet drama queen underneath the professional outward appearance. You can find nuggets of it throughout his tenure here and into his new gig.
Anyways thats my conspiracy theory for the day.
A lot of those articles are based on an article by Giardi, which was 100% speculation. The thing about Giardi is that he isn’t a beat writer or a mouth piece, he isn’t even a journalist. He’s a *writer,* which means he gets paid to spew opinion pieces for the Boston Sports Journal.
A quick search of Giardi’s name pulls up a “Who is Mike Giardi” page loaded with dick pill ads and his LinkedIn which is #opentowork. He’s not close to being a reputable source, yet everybody jumped on his article because it’s what they wanted to hear.
Funny I just heard DMase try to summon up similar drama between the us and the cowboys over why we didn’t trade Simmons instead of them getting Quennin Williams. Assumed it went back to Adams v Jones drama in Texas.
ETA: The rumor was immediately dispelled by a caller pointing out that we traded a player to Dallas a few years ago. I’m not trying to say we have relationship issues over certain teams, I’m pointing out that the media loves to talk about juicy stuff like this even if it’s not true.
