I hope we don’t end up regretting declining the John Means option, but maybe they just didn’t like the way he looked.
Sad for Lively but I get it.
Losing Lively and Means hurts our depth a ton.

Few very notable things here, most surprised by the no to Means tbh. I wonder what concerns popped up in rehab to make that happen
There’s no way Brennan is on the 40 man by march right?
So they just paid Means to rehab with us and we got literally nothing out of it? Great move by the front office.
Has there been any word if they’re going to attempt to stretch Espino back out as a starter or convert him into a reliever? Between him and the players returning from injury we have a chance to have a bullpen filled with all back end caliber arms.

Will Wilson enters his home run trot. He’s just hit his 28th home run of the season in a platoon role with the Tampa Bay Rays.
Don’t they have to protect quite a few guys from the Rule 5 draft right now?
I suspect lively ends up re-signing anyways
There are 37 players left in the 40-man after these moves. I guess there are still moves to make spots for rule 5 eligible players that we will protect.
I really hope we keep Lively. Really like that dude.
Wilson, Allard, and Lively may end up signing minor league free agent deals with $ incentives if called up. Personally, I would like to see Allard in our ‘pen. He was very effective as a long/swing reliever.

How’s Khalil Watson? I know he looked pretty good for at least part of last season. Had a lot of upside at one point.
Kinda surprised about Means. Thought for sure they were gonna pick it up. Guess they know something I don’t 🙂
Surprised on Allard.
Guess they didn’t like what they saw from Means. Wouldn’t be surprised if they try to bring him back at a lower salary.
