The REAL Reason Why White Cornerbacks DON’T EXIST!!

from the Eagles. You like one guy though. You like Cooper Deene, right? Oh, you know what? I do like Cooper Deene. And I’m glad you brought that up because to you, I said to you yesterday, Cooper Deene is going to make the Pro Bowl. He’s going to be the first white cornerback to make the Pro Bowl since Jason Seahor. That’s That’s 1996. So, we’re going on Yeah, we’re going on 30 years. He’s a USC guy. I remember watching him. Yeah, he was really good there, man. What an athlete he was. Okay, so Explain this to me. Why have there been so few white corners? Explain the key. Well, I can explain it for you because cornerback is the most athletic position in sports. Like, we got to chase a guy around and we really don’t know what this guy’s doing. You know what I’m saying? We got to turn, we got to transition, we got to burst. And you know, black guys are just more athletic than white guys. It just is what it is. We got the hips. You know what I’m saying? You got You got to It got to be in your hips, Kenzie. You know what I’m saying? You got to have the hips to play corner to play DB. And you know it it’s We as coaches always put the most athletic guys who couldn’t catch a corner. Yeah. There you go. Say that if you want. Can you catch [ __ ] I caught that [ __ ] 35 times. Went to the crib 10 times. You know what I’m saying? And they weren’t even throwing me the ball. So you tell me if I can catch it. Well, you did play receiver at Kansas. I did in high school. I got a little receiver in my blood. But I really think that that a DB, man, it’s it’s it’s tough to do, man. It like right now I DBs in the league, I’m a 40-y old guy. It’s some DBs in the league. Y’all can’t guard me because it’s just hard to do. If I know how to make you turn this way and you have to turn your hips and get back, it’s hard to do. You got to be super athletic. And I think just the most athletic guys in the world play DB. And it just so happened that they black. Yeah. You just look at the combine. There’s not a lot of white guys that run 43 440. You got to have speed at the DB position. They got to be able to run, man. I mean, they got to be able to run and bump and run. They got to be off. They got to They got to play a lot of different techniques. And uh you got to be able to run. Got to be able to run. Have you seen Alman Raw’s dad talk about it? He told his sons that they cannot reproduce. They said, “You cannot dilute this blood. You cannot marry a white woman. You’re already half diluted.” He already half diluted, man. And I was like, he was talking real [ __ ] He’s Yeah, that’s some facts. I played I played corner in high school. Did you? One game. Oh, one game. One game and my ass went right back to offense about two plays in. I got one big hit, but then I got my ass burnt on the second time in your sophomore year. Sophomore year of high school. It went right back. It’s a tough position to play. I’m going to speak at quarterback. It’s a tough it’s it’s super reactive and I don’t think DBs get enough credit for like the the acceleration, bro. Yeah, we have to turn this way and we got to really accelerate. Especially if you want to come out with 35 picks, 10 tubs like Lee, you know what I’m saying? You got to really have some acceleration and your angles got to be great. You got to be able to run. You said it, coach. You got to be able to run and you got to be able to Your ball skills are ridiculous. There’s not many DBs like ball skills like you. You see DBs running like Latimore finally got a pick, but he’s running in pass interference and not saying he has bad ball skills, but not many guys have elite ball skills. That’s very rare to find a defensive back that can run, bump and run and have elite ball skills, you know. That’s why the best of all time guys like Prime Time and you and these guys take the ball away. It’s very hard to find a guy that can cover and take the ball away. Yeah. And to your point, I don’t think you’re giving enough credit to the mental side of it, too. Like I remember playing some really good DBs. Yeah. Athleticism, reaction time, all of that. I mean, you got You ain’t got to be that smart. You got to know, you got to know. You got to know concept if if I’m if I’m a receiver and a dash and I’m way outside the hash or outside the numbers. Okay, 80% I think he’s going inside and then I know that I can play the side. Like there’s the mental side of it as well. At least 18 at least 18 out of the 35 picks I got. I knew exactly what they was coming. Exactly. At least 18. And I was at Kansas. We had Donnie and Ronnie Amatti some African skip. I’m talking about 42s. Yeah, I’m talking about 50 in verticals, conditioning, they 30 yards in front of machines, couldn’t play corner to save their [ __ ] life. They was the most athletic guys in the world. So, it ain’t just how athletic you are. You got to have something upstairs. You got to have some instincts. You got to know the game. You got to have good angles. So, what positions did they wind up playing? They was cornerbacks, but they couldn’t play. By the time I got there, I was a freshman. I was in front of them boys like that. Okay, shut up. Y’all got to go sit down. Shout out Cooper De though. Riley Moss. Maybe maybe that’ll give some of the guys. I’m telling you, you look at Riley Moss, man. Cooper Deene, they athletic like black guys. Like Riley Moss is super athletic, man. You see him play the way he move like a black guy. That’s why he could play [ __ ] star corner. So I mean you it’s not saying white guys not athletic, but No, you you can say it. You can say it. It’s just it’s just levels to it. That’s all. And you don’t have to be like a 4-3 guy to play corner either. The best, you know, Josh Norman ran four five. Richard Sherman is one of the best of all time. He’s probably 46, right? Yeah. But he he played receiver at Stanford, but he still he still had great hips. He could he could turn length anticipation like you’re talking about. Change direction and burst. But Richard’s long and strong, man. 63, you know, long. Yeah. I’m glad I’m glad you brought up Jason Seahhorn, though, man. I remember watching him grow. I mean, eight years in New York, one year with the Rams, 430 tackles, and he had 19 picks, 10 force fumbles. He had 85 pass breakups, two over his career, 20 in one year. So that that was Morgan Lane right there. I remember watching Jason, you know, Dennis Thurman who used to coach at USC for Rex Ryan and everybody else. He he he called me one day from USC when he was an assistant. He said, “You got to see Jason Seahhorn play basketball.” He said he can slam it every way you want to slam it, but he was bigger. He He was 6’2, 220, a big guy. Yeah. Big big strong corner. All right. So, and and I want to second your emotion about him because I I started talking on first take about you when you’re at Kansas because every time I turn on the TV, you you’re you’re where the football is and you can’t teach it. You can’t coach it. Just just ball hawk all time ball hawk. So, that that’s beyond athletic ability. That’s just gift man. That’s just like thank you God for for that knack or whatever that instinct is. But still very athletic. But think about Cooper Deene. Okay. So, he grows up in a little farm town of 920 people in Iowa. Okay. What are the odds? He’s going to go from there to be a Pro Bowl corner in the National Football League. It’s it’s like a billion to one shot to me. So, he plays quarterback in high school. Go look at the numbers. They’re just ridiculous numbers because nobody could stop him. He’s playing smaller school football and he just he’s just running wild. He he did it throwing and running and he was the Adidas National Player of the Year as a quarterback his senior year at at in Podunk, Iowa. No, no offense to what’s it called? Odabolt. I don’t know. You know, 920 people, but Odabolt, Iowa. And and then he goes to the University of Iowa and the rest starts to be history because they immediately say, “No, no, you got to play corner. We we don’t want you to play quarterback because he probably didn’t throw it that well.” and and he’s off to the races and and I look at Iowa and and Riley Moss also small town. He’s like a suburb of De Moine for what that’s worth, but but he’s he goes to Iowa and and now he’s a starting corner in the National Football League and we haven’t seen very many of those over the last 30 years. So Cooper Deene is is 61 60 they say 205. So he’s still got stature to him and ran 44. So pretty rare, but extremely athletic to me. Mhm. And if you had that draft and did it over, he was a high pick in the second round. And obviously Quinion Mitchell went 23rd overall. So Howie Roseman goes back to back, bang bang, and gets the two best corners in the draft and just changes life in Philadelphia. But if you reddrafted that, I’ll bet you Cooper Deene goes in the top 15 in that draft. I I I think so because he’s you just can’t find that. I know Coopa De get a lot of credit, right? But I really think he is like a slot guy. He a safety slashnickel guy to me if I’m being honest. Raleigh Moss is better outside than him. I I would I would if I if I had to start one of them at outside corner, I’m probably going to start Riley Moss. He can cover better than him. You know what I’m saying? It’s even in base, you see Koopa Deene. I seen him guarding uh uh Jedus and Jettis just left him on the spot right there. He was he ran a slant and kind of just left him right there. And I’m just like it’s good. You a great tackler. You got great instincts, but it’s more of a slot/safety kind of guy to me. So if I if I’m being honest, I Raleigh Moss really is better at outside corner again over I’m just telling you the truth. You watch the tape. you watch, you probably don’t watch the watch the corners as much, but I’m telling you, man, the the co Raleigh Moss man coverage is crazy, bro. And it’s crazy. Riley Moss is in a tough spot, too, because he’s opposite all the targets. So, he’s going to get all the targets. Yeah. Oh, it’s his his man coverage is crazy. I’m telling you that. Well, we are I want to talk about another quarterback that was one of the greatest of all

  1. Is it because whites are too smart and hard working to play the position? That’s a joke to think that a defensive back is the most athletic position in sports. Almost everyone that’s plays baseball, soccer and basketball are more athletic.

  2. WOW! If black was switched with white and reading was switched with playing football…this would be considered racist. WTF…don't marry a white woman…Seems like we can be racist against white people all day long.

  3. Even Jason sehorn was overated imo, he's was a decent player, but if he wernt a white guy playing CB even tho he made the pro bowl, just those factors, he was a forgettable guy otherwise, plenty of pro bowlers out there that are forgotten

  4. It takes a lot of the proper traits to be a CB prospect. If you look at white skill guys in the NFL, Julian Edelman would be considered shorter than ideal. Cooper Kupp would probably be considered slower than ideal in long speed (4.62 40). Skattebo would be too slow, thick, and short. CMac could have probably pulled it off if he came up as a CB. Those other guys are just a better fit elsewhere.

  5. This is stupid. I hate race baiting questions, without talking about socioeconomic problems and lack of opportunities. The pool of black participants is the reason. Black athletes have fewer opportunities to do other sports, few exposure, ethnic groups tend to all play the same regional sports. Fast white guys and athletic white guys have many more sports options and we self segregate, so we avoid competing against each other if we don't have historical or trending connections to the sport.

Your over simplifying BS sounds racist. The old stereotypes about black physical dominance and white mental dominance is under the surface here! Stop.

  6. Blacks are not genetically more "athletic" than Whites (i.e., relatively speaking, that is). Generally speaking, this thing we call "race" is a social construct, not a biological one — genetic variation within racial groups is often greater than genetic variation between races. This topic of discussion of Black and White athletes is as absurd as trying to correlate the difference between Black and White "intelligences." Essentially, the issue of Black and White athletic ability boils down to the culture of movement, which Black culture stimulates and therefore prepares the body's range of motion for adolescent and adult ability to move a certain way. Again, this argument parallels that of Latinos being better at dancing salsa than Whites – well yes, of course, because dancing salsa is part of Latino culture. (I can't believe we're still having this discussion of juxtaposing Black and White athletic ability in the year 2025.)

  7. Black guys are not more athletic than white guys…. Being fast does not equal more athletic. It just means you're faster….lol! We need more conversations like this. We used to have them but these last two generations turned into a bunch of punks on subjects like this…😂 But yeah, being fast on your feet doesn't necessarily make you more athletic. For instance, I was very athletic when I was younger. I just didn't run from people. I stood my ground. So maybe football wasn't my sport. But fighting most certainly was.😂😂😂

  8. More athletic?…. Let's see how many of these fast on their feet black dudes can pull an 18 Wheeler down a street.😂 Who wins the majority of the strongman competitions?… Nordic folk.

It all depends on your definition of "Athletic"😂

  9. Yes I don't think too many people have a problem with the truth in this statement just as blacks aren't good enough athletes in the field of being a Navy SEAL and to be a Navy SEAL anyone can try out for that but in pro football you have to be selected to try out for that and most of those people are eliminated by 40 yard Dash times
