NHL Highlights | Wild vs. Hurricanes | November 06, 2025

for Philip Gustoson. He’s a player that the
Kane’s got to get in front of. And there is Jordan Stall. And here we go. We want
to thank Mike Kelly who is our FanDuel collection from Baldi. It’ll jump high
into the slot. Martinook is taken down, but the puck finds Stall. He’ll leave it here for
Miller. Miller looking for some offensive cross shot right on by Chatfield. He’s sealed off in
the corner. The Breeze off wants to run with it, but Stall does a good job interfering that
try. Now it’s Middleton. No shots on goal for that power play attempt. A rolling puck in
front. Loose puck. Anderson can’t get it. They score. Matt Baldy on the doorstep throws the
loose change behind Frederick Anderson and it’s one- nothing Minnesota. Fires goals in the back
of the Hurricanes net. First periods. Janowski makes a really good backing play. Goes under the
stick. Denies the opportunity for Kel Capri off. But then it goes off Danowsk’s stick. For a
myriad of reasons, Carolina has only taken 44 penalties this season. Now, this puck will roll
in. Gustoson will get a whistle on that one. And how how can you change course on that? A lot
of it’s out of your control to be can. But what can you control? Your sticks. Uh, you know, I’m
sitting here and trying to figure out, you know, for John Hines, a very fine coach, Boston
University product, uh, back in the day. Um, you know, to have that many more power plays than
penalty kills. And this is a shoulder, centering it out in front. And a great play by Jarvis out
in front to deny. Talk about the well-rounded game of Seth Jarvis. Now Jackson Blake going
away from Cabri off. He’s got a ball with him. Blake for the jump. He scores. Oh, what a one-man
show from Jackson Blake. And he ties it at one. Sweet, sweet music for already a foundational
player for the Hurricanes in his second year who grew up in Minnesota. The speed through
the neutral zone, cutting to the middle, then to make the shot available, get the goalender
leaning one way, firing it the other way. This has to be sweet music for Jackson Blake.
That is exactly what this building wanted to see. Jackson Blake played high school hockey.
Eden Prairie. Here comes a chance for Capraoff. Favor with a shot. He scores. 23 seconds left of
four on four and Brock Fab his second of the year. Puts Minnesota right back on top. players would
have shot this puck as he gets it from Johansson. Johansson’s had a heck of a start to his year.
Cuts the middle. I think so many players in the NHL would have shot and he recognized that
there was a breakdown in Carolina tracking back and trying to sort out and the better play was to
go to the trailer. Puts it right on a tee. That’s a goal that Freddy Anderson would love to have
because it beats him through him. and Brock Favor tied a blink of an eye, but now in 4 seconds,
Carolina going on a power play. Spikov scores. He’s starting to heat up. Near post Andreikov,
his third of the season. And we’re tied again. Twos are wild and we barely settled
into this game. Russian to Russian. Nikeshan just gives Andre Fetchov a chance to
come through the neutral zone and be Andre comes underneath to generate just enough speed. Cuts to
the middle and then uses Middleton as a screen to beat Gustoson just above the blocker on the short
side with Eers going back to get another stick and Minnesota knew it. Ko with the clear. Eers has
some room though. He’ll cut to the middle to the back hand and Gustiffson has to try to settle
it down. Loose puck. Good work by Stankover. Now Blake got the party started. Blake side of
the net. Hall turns snap this one back. Chance to get the shot. There was Walker. That’s blocked.
There’s Miller. Jarvis back for Walker. He scores. Shawn Walker’s on a heater. Carolina takes
the 3-2 lead. Walker’s second point of the period and second goal in his many games.
Traffic, traffic, traffic. It can come in the form of a Hurricanes jersey or a Minnesota
jersey. And I think the critical piece was Baldi trying to block it just inside the top of the
circle. We spoke in the open with Mike Kelly. lay the lumber behind the net there
in Carolina. Got to be careful here as William with a backhander. There’s
the save for Frederick Anderson. Right now, Carolina still has some penalty killing
work to do against this dangerous Minnesota power play. Minute 15 left on the power play as Baldi
hands it off for Spurgeon. Top pass here. Terraeno to Baldi and that’s a tap in. Just beautiful puck
movement by this Minnesota Wild power play and we are tied at three here in the second period. Man
advantage ever zip it around and then ultimately Terish made a really good decision because Miller
was out fronting the the potential shot. You had really a threeon one down low. Erikson in
front. No chance for Anderson. But I would always consider him to be a shoot first finisher
over the course of his career. That’s a heck of a pass. And now going to try to go back to work.
They got to come over. Blake out in front. They score. A tap in for Nick Eers. Pump beauty. When
it comes to shifts, even though you lose the draw, you turn it into a win. Jackson Blake critical.
Turns the faceoff loss into a win and then puts it on a T for Aers. to give the Hurricanes back the
lead. Even with a player like Broaddin leaving his feet trying to vacate the passing lane, heers goes
right to the far post trainer for the Hurricane that goes right into the crest and Gusson hangs
on. And remember what Nicoler said in our bench interview cuz he knows his team well. Shot by
Nstrom front but broken up expertly there by Nation. Spring pass here. A shot rocking it right
on. Second opportunity for Jarvis. Lose an edge. Mors it goes. Eric A with a shot. Anderson has to
make the save. Nine career assists. That number right there as he keeps scoring goals. Eers
will drop this one back. Miller shot out in front. Gustoson finally locates it. Jane Kowski
is watched by Broaddin. He’ll turn his shot. Save Gustoson. Rebound comes out. I hope this will
be intercepted. Walker puts this on stretch. The coff tape drops it back for Jarvis. Kicked away
by Gustoson. Right back to the point. Long shot deflected in and draw for Riley. Will he shoot
that one? It comes up to Nestro. He tries to go for the short side just wide. payroll is set up
that it’s so evenly distributed. Four lines that can attack. William with a shot. Big pass save
made there by Anderson. This pass deflects across the lane. Stank over to the healers is flying.
Drop it back. Miller Stankov can take over. Shot saved Gustoson as he gets a piece. Was that puck
movement any good or what? It was fantastic with a finish now. Oh, long drive from Eers at Gustoson
catches and will hang on Duke. Hovering around here. I could use that winter hat the next time
we go to Boston. Minnesota’s part of that trip in a few weeks. It’s November, but Christmas is
coming. Coach with a shot and that’s deflected as Nado got the stick to it. Looking for his second
goal in the NHL now. Coin. He deals it back. Riley Nestrom. Nestrom shoots. One of the short side
just missed. And this will come all the way out of the zone. This is the line that scored the huge
goal late in the second period Tuesday night. Do Janowski and Kopi finds Jones. Jones drops
it for Bolo. Bolo shot right on and Anderson makes the save. John Madden game five overtime
2002 before Joseph Buch scored some work. Tears John back down the bench. Hzel will win the
draw. Riley gets it to Blake. Blake flings one that Gustiffson uses the glove to knock down.
Terasenko cross down a little bit. Built into the front of the net. A one-hander that Anderson
makes a stout save go to the boards, but Au there to help out his defenseman. Leaves far and center.
One minute left here in this second period. Trying to get in good shooting position. bothered there.
Quinn back for Nisha. His shot kicked away by G. Buck along the boards. 19 seconds left here in
the second period. Long pass hustling back for it is the Eastern, but it’ll roll its way to
Anderson. So no icing. That should have been icing. A chance right on save Anderson. Follow
up Anderson Perko. Is he once the first player gets to that? Well, I don’t know cuz but the
icing play had already occurred. Anyways, you move on like Frederick Anderson did to make
two excellent saves. Boy, what a challenging trying not to taken off of his skates. Spechnikov
with it. Get him go with Jarvis. Now it’s Aaho. AO fakes a peak. Gets a shot through with traffic
to the rebound trying to set up AO on the reload. Miller Daho back to Miller. Miller ranging
behind the net work back Jarvis shot that goes off of Rossi play there are counter
defenseman. Here comes Johansson with a shot right on anderson has to absorb. He’ll get
a whistle. Williams knocked down there by Nadau. Send it ring wide but Minnesota will get
to it. Now this bouncing puck comes in on Anderson looking for it was Hinstrosa side
of the net. Folino stick gets in the states skates of Nikes Williams able to keep it in
Williams get a shot free Anderson to make the pad to make Paul wants to reach for it. It’ll
be Terasenko. Vladimir Terasenko slide this across for Felino. He shut right out. Anderson
has to make looking to get to it. Kains trying to seal this off. 1 second left. Williams says it
turns over. Carolina hangs on for a 4-3 victory.
