The Broncos are on a ROLLERCOASTER with Bo Nix 🎒 Denver wins 7th-straight game | SC with SVP

As for the beginning of week 10, Mile High City, it’s an AFC West battle. Broncos have won nine straight home games, which is the longest active winning streak at home in the National Football League. Ashton Genty plows his way into the end zone. And the Raiders jump out to the seven nothing lead. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] That’s obviously the Raiders remembering what Kansas City did to them and they didn’t run it. here. Bo Nicks does on second and 18. Finds the rookie Pat Bryant. A gain of 43. Broncos are driving. Two plays later, second and goal. Knicks has time. Delivers on time. Troy Franklin. And Denver ties it up at seven apiece. That’s where we are in the third. The Raiders. JL Skinner breaks through and blocks the punt with his face. Skinner, as you’ll see, says in the shot sheet, a hand on it, and I believe it was more of his face m whatever. They block the punt and the Broncos get a field goal. So, it’s 10-7. First play of the fourth. Smith Gino gets tripped up by Bonito. goes down and he just went down. Nothing obvious, but he would glimp to the Raiders sideline. The next Raider drive, it’s still 10-7. This is a game that had basically 400 yds of combined offense. A work of art, it wasn’t. But here comes that Denver defense. And again, Broncos, you could wear these uniforms every every single game. All you got to do is put them on. So, it’s another sack. Ensuing Broncos drive. We’re halfway through the fourth and the ball deflects off Franklin. Caillou Blue Kelly with the pick and the Raiders have got the ball back in Denver possess up. Field position is very good, but not good enough because Daniel Carlson pushes it right. It’s still a 10-7 game. But Denver now can play the four-minute drill. And on third and one, Knicks rolls out. Beautiful play design, finds Franklin. Franklin had five grabs for 40 yards and that touchdown. They’re able to get another first down on the back of JK Dobbins. And they get the victory. The Broncos have played 10 game this year. They’ve trailed at some point in each of them, which is the most in the league this season. Somehow they have eight victories. Four teams have trailed nine times this season. And those teams have combined to win eight games. All of which is to say as we welcome Damen Woody, they’re eight and two, Damen. Eight and two. Yeah, that’s hard to do in the NFL. It’s very hard to do. I can’t give them their flowers though because I’m watching these games and there’s just far too many quarters where they’re just not doing any positive work at all on offense. And so I’m just I’m I’m flumxed as to what I’m supposed to think about Denver and that’s why you’re here to tell me what I’m supposed to think about Denver. Well, they have a championship defense. Okay. They have that going for them. Okay. Uh outside of a couple quarters, man, the offense have been I can’t even They’re not even average. They they’ve been pitiful to be honest with you. Bicks is you seem like you’re on a roller coaster, the B Bo Knicks experience, and it’s all over the place. There’ll be times where you see moments of brilliance. There’s other times where you’re scratching head like, “What is this guy doing out there?” And so, listen, between the defense and running the football, JK Dobbins has had a good year for the Denver Broncos. RJ Harvey is coming along. So, they got to get the quarterback straightened out. If not, this is not a team that you can seriously see as a team that can represent the AFC. You you mentioned it as we’re watching upstairs. There’s just too many yolo throws where you’re just I mean, you’re just chucking it up and seeing what happens. Yeah. I’m just like, that’s not what offense is supposed to look like. That’s not what a passing game is supposed to look like. He’s just like he’s backpedaling, throwing the ball up in the air. What are we doing here? I don’t know. Um, they’ve had some incredible fourth quarters at Philadelphia. That was a hell of a win. At home against the Giants, they scored 33 after not scoring any for three quarters. But if you watch this game, if you watch the Jets game, if you watch the game against Houston with no Straoud, yes, they win. And again, that’s the headline and it’s all that matters. And they win largely be on the back of a defense. Now, the Raiders offense isn’t going to frighten anybody, but this Denver defense is rugged and thorough. I don’t care home or road. Is it good enough to mask the offense moving forward in the most important games which begin next week at home against Kansas City? Well, here’s the here. Look, listen, they have a championship defense, but here’s the problem. When you get late into the year and in the postseason, you’re going to be facing some dudes. Yeah. Okay. like the Patrick Mahomes, the Josh Allens, you know, Lamar Jackson, those type of quarterbacks. Guess what? They’re not afraid of that defense. Um like so at some point Bo Nicks is going to have to show up and make plays down the stretch to go out here and compete. I’m looking to see Rush. They ran for 84 tonight. Dobbins went for 77 in the end. I mean, it’s a cliche, but it’s true. You’ve lived it. If you can run the ball and play defense in the National Football League, you can win games. But I don’t you can’t do that if your quarterback is is kind of just throwing it up for grabs too much, right? No, you can’t do that. Like like I said, I I’m a former offensive lineman. I’ve always been a a proponent of running the damn ball. But at at the end of the day, again, when you’re facing some of these elite quarterbacks, your quarterback is going to have to make plays. And that’s the bottom line with Bo Knicks right now. But you’ve told me often, and it’s the truth. You are what your record says you are. All credit to them. They are eight and two. Denver off to a fantastic start as well. The defense is rolling. The offense only scored 10, but it was enough as they hold the Raiders under 200 yds of offense in this one. They get the mini buy and then they welcome Kansas City to town. That’s next week. Shawn Peyton on the win on Thursday night. John, again, you know, as you’ve said, your record says who who you are. Exactly. Right. But are you going to say but? What? No. What’s your question? Are you comfortable with the script of just kind of how these games? We’re never comfortable as coaches, but there’s no butts. So, you’re asking, am I comfortable as a coach? Um, we’re never satisfied. If my answer were to you, I’m comfortable. That’d be silly, right? So, um, obviously we gota we gota we got to clean up the penalties. We got to clean up some of the execution and and and that is an ongoing thing that probably never ends. There’s, you know, you s you search for that Shangrila. Um right now, you know, we’re a team sitting at eight wins. I think uh we’re the only team sitting there. So, um, and yet we’re we’re constantly looking, uh, internally and starting, you know, but that was a it was a tough night offensively obviously and and, uh, um, you know, and I I give them credit. You know, they did they did some things differently that we hadn’t seen and and you know, you start looking at your call sheet with your sub plan and um, so we we’ll look at that tape and and we’ll learn from it. We always will. Damen Woody back to look ahead to a couple of the games of uh of week 10. The Patriots down in Tampa. And the Patriots lead the East and their schedule doesn’t have a ton of heavy lifting. They do have that game against Buffalo coming. But here’s an opportunity against a really good team on the road, but maybe an opportunity for Tampa as well. Just how do you view this through the lens of both of these teams? I think both of these team have an opportunity to tell their respective conferences, hey, hey, don’t forget about us. Like we’re here. because so much of the conversation has been in the AFC. We’re going to talk about, you know, the Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen. We’re going to talk the usual suspects as I like to call them. The Kansas City Chiefs, you know, Colts threw their hat. The Colts threw their hat. But we can’t feel, we can’t forget about the New England Patriots. Drake May is for people out there, he’s playing like an MVP. He’s one of the best quarterbacks in the game right now. He’s elevating all these guys. And then on the other side in Tampa, like we can’t Baker Mayfield has been playing lights out as well with all the injuries that they’ve had to, you know, sustain or overcome and now they’re coming off of a buy. They gotten a chance to get healthy. So, this is a chance for either one of these clubs to really, hey, pronounce themselves to their respective conferences. Yeah, Tampa Bay has been banged up. Looks like Bucky Irving though might might stay on the shelf. It’s been a while for him there, but they are coming off a buy. They’ve been in the playoffs. What? Four straight years they’ve won the South. So, a couple of good teams there with a chance to remind people maybe they’re better. As for San Francisco and the Rams, they live in the NFC West, which is as rugged as any division. You like Seattle better than anyone as you told me upstairs, but there are some flowers you want to hand out both to LA and San Francisco. Let’s start with LA. Who where you going? Oh, Matthew Stafford. Uh, for anyone out there, Matthew Stafford is playing about it’s the probably the best football I’ve I’ve seen any quarterback this year. Leaves the NFL until he’s I mean, listen, this dude is just uh he’s just a delight to watch to be honest with you. I mean, he’s just slinging the ball all over the field. Obviously, we know about the weapons that he has in and Puka Nakua and Devonte Adams, but man, this dude seems like he’s like Benjamin Buttons right now, just aging backwards. Well, the list if you’re going to name the best quarterbacks, you’re going to say a lot of other people before you get to the guy who is leading the NFL in in touchdowns and has won a Super Bowl. Now, the coach on the other side hadn’t won a Super Bowl, but what kind of job is he doing this year? I think this might be his best coaching job. I mean, think about all the injuries that the San Francisco 49ers have sustained this year. And you know, whether you I mean, it could be George KD has missed a chunk of of playing time. The quarterback did Ricky Pur. Yeah. I mean, listen, M. Jones is having a career year to the point where could there be noise about quarterback situation? paying a lot of money for the They are playing a lot of Listen, but we Scotty, we all know when you out here balling, you’re trying to win. You’re trying to like Herman was said, yep. Trying to win for play to win the game. Play to win the game. That’s it. We have a guest in Denver this waiting. Uh I don’t want to keep him waiting for long. I do just want to squeeze in a quick one just on the Monday nighter and the significance of this game against the defending champs for the home Green Bay Packers. Why is it so important for them? Well, listen, you got embarrassed at home. You were a double- digit favorite against the Carolina Panthers. You lost. If you can’t get up for the Philadelphia Eagles, the defending Super Bowl champion, if you’re the Green Bay Packers, I don’t know what else is going to get you going. I I need to see more from Jordan Love in this game. He’s been up and down, but the guy has so much talent. I need to I need to see him put on the show on Monday night. You wonder if human nature creeps in, right? you start looking down the road a little bit with Philadelphia coming in the bright lights of Monday night, but Carolina’s now five and four and they you can get got in this league and they did last week. Appreciate you as always, Damian. Travel safe and we’ll talk again soon. Thank you. Always. They get the victory. Zack Allen is waiting and I appreciate you throwing on the headset, Zack. Scott Vampel here on Sports Center. Congratulations on the victory. We just showed a bunch of those sacks. How much of a competition is it among you guys? Like if you get one and Bonito gets one, I mean, how much of it is sort of like blood in the water and everybody’s trying to get theirs? Yeah, I think we do a good job of uh you know, it’s a really unselfish group, so you know, we’re trying to get everybody a sack, but I do have a little bit of beef with Nick now. He keeps on hopping on. We got a lot of half sacks, so uh it’s a lot of fun as a group, but um yeah, it’s a special group. The wiggle room that you have had to operate with on defense hasn’t been a lot cuz we know and Sean talked about the offense tonight, whatever. you had enough to win, but but how much does that sharpen the focus of your group and the belief that you have that however many you get us, we’re going to make that stand up. Yeah, we pride ourselves on that. You know, we want to be the, you know, have that pressure. And I think any good defense, you know, whether it’s a two-minute drill at the end of the game or a game like tonight, you know, we just want to, you know, come out and and be the reason we win. And the fact we were able to be resilient like that was awesome. We had the good fortune last year with Monday Night Countdown to come out and be in that environment. You guys got a win. It was actually a wild win against Cleveland. You make the playoffs. What kind of growth, Zach, do you feel like we’re seeing this year as you all aren’t just looking at playoffs, but I mean at 8 and2 you’re looking at who knows what. How where have you seen the biggest steps collectively as a team? Yeah, I think the big thing is, you know, we’re in these, you know, one score games and last year it kind of felt like we did everything possible to lose them. So, the fact that we’re starting to win them right now is, you know, something we definitely, you know, talked about and prided ourselves on this off seasonason. So, um, you know, the fact that we’re able to win like that’s awesome. And, you know, the tide will turn and we’ll start winning games easier. You know, knock on wood. Yeah, that’s I mean, in in the NFL, you got to win those coin flip games and you all certainly have done that. Now, you get the mini buy. I know everybody hates playing on Thursday because the quick turnaround, but you get a chance to rest and then look, we’re going to do what we do and make it a big deal because here comes Kansas City. They have been the sheriff in the west for seemingly forever, but here you are with a lead over them for the moment. H how significant a game is it just because of who they are and the fact that you get to play them in your building? I mean I know it’s a regular season game, so I’m trying I’m not trying to make it a thing, but you tell me. Yeah, I mean it’s huge cuz you know and it deservedly so. I mean it’s a division game and we know for seating and everything like that, you know, it really comes down to division and conference. So, um, yeah, and like you said, they’ve been the top dog and, you know, we want to be there and you got to beat the best to be the best. So, um, yeah, and especially how last year went that first game. So, it’s, uh, it’s going to be a big one, you know, and we both have a lot of time to, you know, get ready for it and we’re excited. I just I just want to close with this because every single time you guys wear those uniforms, I’m old, so I make a big deal out of it because I remember them back in the day. Like, do you guys like them or is this just an old guy remembering the old days? is you is it cuz I think they’re gorgeous. Yeah. No, we absolutely love them. They are gorgeous. And uh it’s funny how many people, you know, just come up from around the country wherever we go. It’s just like, oh my gosh, the Orange Crush, everything like that. 77. So, it’s uh it’s really cool to kind of bring that back and bring the uh you know, see how many Denver fans they are that love them. All right. Right on. I just wanted to make sure because I don’t want to be making some big ridiculous deal out of it if you guys hate them, but they’re they are pure and you guys play great. You look good, you feel good, and you guys keep winning. Zack, stay healthy, man. Thanks for taking a minute. Congratulations on a big night. Yeah, thank you so much. Appreciate it. Yes, indeed. Zack Allen and the Broncos get the victory and they are now 3-0 this season with fewer than 20 points. The rest of the AFC is 3 and 41. So, that just gives you the context. They have as many wins in three games doing that as the rest of the nation does on 44 different occasions with fewer than 20 points. They don’t have a lot of wiggle room, but that big fellow that we just talked to, Bonito and company on defense, uh they are doing their thing and they are the West leaders. Kansas City coming in next week. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]

  1. You should say with sean also. His trick play, his other 3rd down plays and sticking to the swings and screens when hes had 9 weeks of footage that prove broncos struggle with it isnt helping things. Sean, bo and the wrs are all having trouble

  2. Bo Nix is definitely a interesting player. Many people compare him to Tim Tebow but in reality Bo Nix is on pace for another 30 TD season. So we know he is capable of making big time NFL throws. The proper comparison to me is more a less consistently accurate Baker Mayfield. I think that there is a clear disconnect between Bo Nix and the gameplan. I do not think that Sean Payton has scripted fully to Bo Nix strengths that has contributed to some of the poor play. Still though the Broncos have a great defense that may be trending all time maybe. Its a strange situation with Nix though because you look at the TDs he has accounted for. If he put it all together. He could account for 50 TDs.

  3. I'm really hoping for a purpose vanilla offense where Payton is playing chess getting ready for KC. No need to feed the queefs film to work from

  4. The AFC west is a combination of the absolute best and worst of the NFL. It’s pretty incredible.
Whether you are discussing injuries, quarterbacks, decisions, etc.

  5. The broncos suck and didn’t deserve to win this game Nix looked like a highs school QB! The play calling was terrible! How do these coaches train these misfit on offense! The only good part was the defense!

  6. Nov 16th @ 2:25 PM the Broncos will play the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. In other words the Sunday after next, so we will find out soon if the Broncos offense can beat the Chiefs defense sufficiently enough to win against Mahomes then. I believe that Denver will beat the Chiefs somehow someway even if it is just another ugly win like the one against the Raiders tonight.

  7. Bo Nix is not an NFL QB yet. He's too slow, confused, unprepared, sleepy, and inaccurate. Most likey, the Broncos won't go pass the Post Season this year. Hopefully, Bo is more matured next season 2026.

  8. Broncos are winners? Just barely against what? That Geno led mess, with Raheem Mostert blocking only on even downs, Devin White catching some deep sleep, and Malcolm Koonce playing Ole" as he swings sideways to dodge anything rushing past, I'm not sure that's a real team. Good thing the people of Vegas have other things to do rather than watch this trash.

  9. Everyone blames Bo Nix which he does have some blame, but those called plays were terrible and a lot of those WRs keep having footballs go off thier hands. If its near their hands they have to catch it.

  10. I apologize for NOTHING. There’s a lot of ugly football around the NFL right now the only difference is the Broncos are CLOSING games! Go Broncos!
