Game Highlights: Blues 3, Sabres 0
Robert Thomas opening faceoff for the St. Louis Blues. Buffalo wins it. First overall pick. Dene checked into the wall by Texier. Puck over to the near side. Battling is Tyler Tucker. Savers couldn’t hold it in. To Jenko jumps on it behind the D to the goal. Save Lucan and the puck back to the near corner. Buffalo to get it first. Chucked ahead. Holloway couldn’t get it in deep. In transition, Quinn for Buffalo to the front of the goal. They put it there. Save Hoverer. Penalty against the Blues, but a terrific poke check save by Joel Hoffer. And then he gets over with the stick to jam it along the wall and force the Savers to the line. Buffalo still in the zone. Down low. Drag Quinn in the middle. They tuck it in. And what a save by Joel Hoer. Watch this move here on the very bottom of the screen. Look, he just kind of comes in, uses the between his legs, tries to go high, ends up losing the puck, but then Josh Don’s going to come in on the back. Buffalo power play. It took 1 minute and 10 seconds and several faceoffs to get it out, but they did. Savers reenter the zone. Great stop and stick by Joseph. Short-handed chance. Separates in, shoots, score. Short-handed goal, Matthew Joseph. One- nothing St. Louis. [Music] First healthy scratch of the year. Look at the tenacity. Look at the second second effort. Look at the spin. He stays with it and then it’s just a race. You’re not going to catch Matthew Joseph in an allout race right there. He gets a little foot and boom. That’s all he needs. He goes the distance right there. He goes under the blocker and the bench is very basic. Ran basic drills, but he was detail oriented on one of those drills. If he didn’t see a guy lined up the proper way, he’d stop the drill and make him do it all over again. He certainly has some jump this morning. That twoon one in. Walker drags to drag shoots. Save Lucin and the puck cleared back by Buffalo to center. What a great chance by Walker. They just kind of gave him daylight. He took it, just missed it on the back hand. Bugstad in, fires, score, and a banner reader for Lucin as Bugstad beats him along the ice. Two nothing Blues. Early second period. You’re going to see the Buffalo. They’re going to exit and it’s just a quick up right there. Justin Faulk’s going to get it to Nick Bugstad and he’s just going to beat him one-on-one. There’s his pass. It’s going to go up two lines. He’s going to take the ice given. He’s going to use the captain as a screen. Snap through the neutral zone. They get it over the line on the tape of Ryan Mloud. Centers tucked. Put it on. Right leg save. Hoer. And opening face off of the third period. A victory here starts to give you a trend where you could get wins in two out of three. They get it up to the blue line from Tuck. Samuelson from Mloud to Dene to the far wing. Shot on. Rebound rolled to the net. Swatted away by Thomas. Blues can’t clear. Alex Tuck off the blocker of Hoffer. And out of play rolls that one around to the far wing. Blues with a two nothing lead. Good pinch by Kessle. The hollow centers. They score. Snugarude. [Applause] Like father, like son, scoring in Buffalo. Snugaroo makes it 3 nothing. Watch Dylan Holloway the forehand backhand. Eyes in the back of his head. He’s going to find Snugaroo on top the crease. This next look we’re really going to get a good look at. Here’s the one I want to see. Holloway. Snugroot right off that left blade. It goes off his left skate. Here it is. Right here is a really good bird’s eye view. Left skate. No touch. And it goes directly in. So this goes from skate to me. This is a no goal. Yeah, no goal. And now they’re going to take Lukan in and get him to the bench. So they’ll make it five on five as we go back now. Six on five as we’re back at even strength. Clues to the empty net. Score. Justin Faulk finishes a strong game with the goal into the empty net. Three nothing St. Louis. Turnover here in the neutral zone. There’s fall bottom right of your screen. He’s flatfooted. He stays right there. And again, he shoots for the net. From a disappointing one last night in DC to a fire in the belly gut check battle tonight in Buffalo. It’s a three nothing win. You can bring up the Zambodi and the Blues give the answer the coach was looking for.
The St. Louis Blues bounced back on the second half of a back-to-back with a 3-0 win against the Buffalo Sabres on Nov. 6, 2025. Mathieu Joseph, Nick Bjugstad and Justin Faulk had goals for the Blues while Joel Hofer picked up his third career shutout.

Great Job Hofer on the Shutout!!! LGB!!!
Way to go Hofer.
What is the Blues record without Logan Mailloux in the lineup ?
Why did we bench joseph last game lol
I think this is a very clear sign itβs time to trade Kyrou. So much skill but we need someone who can force plays and be physical when need be.
Great job Hofer on getting the shutout πππ»
Nice win, keep it up. Like a lot!
Let's Go Blues!
This is the confidence boost Hofer has needed
Hofer was absolutely on it last night, hopefully this is the game that gets the blues going, defense was superb tonight also, sticks on nearly every opposing pass and the energy started high and was maintained ,much better in the transition zone which ,in my opinion. , has been their death knell so far
Boy they needed that so bad. They gotta get a 7-3 or 8-2 run try and start climbing back. The worst thing would b win one, lose one and look terrible…win one, lose one….
