Today is November 7th!

  1. Jonathan Pintaro turns 28 today! He made his MLB debut with the Mets on June 25th.

  2. The Mets are hosting their annual [MetsGiving Food Drive](https://www.mlb.com/mets/community/food-drive) to benefit City Harvest on Thursday, November 13 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Mets Team Store. City Harvest is New York City’s first and largest food rescue organization. This year, City Harvest will rescue more than 86 million pounds of nutritious, high-quality food that would otherwise go to waste and deliver it for free to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens and community partners across the five boroughs. Fans donating at least 10 non-perishable items will receive a voucher redeemable for two tickets to a select Monday – Thursday Mets home game in 2026. Fans will be limited to one ticket voucher. Fans who donate will also receive an exclusive 20% discount at the team store.

  1. If you’re like me, and you find the idea of driving out to Citi with food to be horrifying on a Thursday, and don’t want to carry a bunch of stuff all over the city for hours, there’s a C-Town that’s a 9 minute walk away: https://maps.app.goo.gl/p5FsQ8FVsDbDvMLJ8?g_st=ipc a

I’m going to try and cut out of work a little early and see if I can buy some things on the list. Remember: life is getting tough for a lot of folks, Mets fans or otherwise. We should try to do good whenever it’s in our power, and if we get a reward for it (like tickets!), even better.

  2. I came across something somewhat fun.

The Twins/Brewers trade of Carlos Gomez for J.J Hardy has to be some of the most lopsided trades. If you follow the tree, Brewers are still benefitting from that trade.

With William Contreras and Coleman Crow being the current developments of that long trade tree.

  3. Totally missed that the Orioles signed Rico Garcia to a major league deal for 2026. Happy for that guy; great year up in the bigs across a lot of teams.
