Feel bad for LeBron’s dad, man.
Jesus, why can’t nobody advocate and help this poor guy. Watching his downfall has been so sad the guy needed help years ago
Edit: Jeez chill on the downvotes you weirdos. I haven’t looked anything up on the guy ever just saw the post and reacted. It’s a shame so many have tried to help but he refuses, but I also believe the alternative shouldn’t just be “ehh he doesn’t want help let him just roam around fuckin up until he dies” like so many of you believe.
Prayers up man. So sad
Tough week for the Cs 2004 draft class
Arrested for not going to the ER??
Yeah that’s a bad precedent if you are getting arrested after treatment for an overdose. Many states don’t allow it in fact or have certain restrictions on it anyway.
Pierce, Billups, Rozier, Allen, West. Is that five former Celtics arrested in the past month?? Gotta be an NBA record
Absolutely heartbreaking 💔 Mental illness and addiction are no joke. I sincerely hope he can get stable and live a meaningful and happy life. When we talk about mental health awareness, most people focus on depression and anxiety. Because those two conditions are understandable to most people. Delonte’s Bipolar and co occurring substance abuse has put Delonte in a terrible place. If we want to say we are going to end the stigma about mental health. We have to be able to look at this situation and understand that Delonte is sick. He needs help. He is not a bad person. Bipolar, Schizophrenia, are also important to be aware of, we must have compassion for this community.
This story will not end well in a few years and it breaks my heart.
Delonte has had mental health and substance issues for years. Seriously hope he’s able to get the help he needs. I know former teammates have done a lot to try and help at one point or another, but it’s such a terrible cycle to pull oneself out of.
The fact that even highly public figures who have ample support and love cannot find a stable place to live. The stigma around mental institutions is one thing, but the lack of them is appalling.
