They still have to block for him. There have been a lot of blown up plays at the LOS where the opposing special teams are blocking fgs throughout the year. It hasn’t always been on Karty.

The 61 yarder changed the trajectory for Mizzou. It was as big of a kick as you’ll ever see for a regular season game. He misses that and there is a good chance our coach gets fired and we’re back to square one. Instead he nailed it and we’ve been trending upward ever since.

I honestly don’t care about his ability to hit long kicks, but that’s a nice bonus If he can even hit 1/3 of those, I’ll take it.
I just want someone that’s automatic from 35 or less, and rarely misses from within 50 yards. Also someone who kicks faster than Karty, because that is clearly an issue.
As a Mizzou and Rams fan, I haven’t been more excited for a regular season game in a long time!
