  3. Honestly, might be a hot take, not even sure we’re gonna take a QB in this draft. Maybe Mendoza or whoever can turn it on in the back half but I don’t think any of them have been that great, and we have 3 firsts next year so maybe we load up on talent this year and aim for next year’s QB class, which is supposed to be better (although we say that every year)

    Get an OFFENSIVE LINE.

    Seriously the one thing the Jets haven’t tried is stop chasing all the sexy shit without the actual support to hold it up.

    Build a top 5 offensive line, and I guarantee that gets the Jets back to respectable without matering to much who is QB. 

    THEN you can go getting a sexy QB and skill position players. 

    This is essentially what the 49ers and Bucs have done. It’s why Darnold and Rodgers look so much better on new teams.   

    Maybe there’s a scenario where a Mendoza comes in and looks decent like a Dart, but bigger chance that having no line at all screws him up and it’s not like Dart is actually winning many games despite looking good. 

    And just my 2 cents here but that’s also the way you burn through more than half your time with a cheap QB prospect which is the whole point of having them. Cam Ward and Dart are the poster boys for it this year, congrats you got a QB that looks decent but unfortunately you still have no o-line so you gotta spend years building that to even get where Bryce Young and the Panthers are this year

     Not that Bryce Young and the Panthers look amazing, they are just now starting to look serviceable and if everything goes right MAYBE they sneak in the wild card. 

    Flip the script, build the trenches, build the support, THEN get the QB.
