  1. There’s a reason he was a top 5 pick. Ace impressed. He has to start. His best game yet

The only thing keeping me from watching these games is Ace, and hoping he’s something great in the league. I got myself deep into the hype watching his college highlights at least 100 times during the offseason. If we didn’t draft him, I likely would stop watching the team due to watching Nurkic playing is just painful. Along with the teams abysmal perimeter degnese. I thought Suns and Blazer fans were overreacting these last few seasons, but he’s that awful.

The fact that we don’t have an actual NBA center on this roster makes this team unwatchable in a competitive aspect. I guess seeing Key hoop, Lauri score, and hope for growth from Ace, Taylor, Cody, and everyone else drafted since we started tanking is something to watch. Which is why I don’t get Svi, Kyle, and the other older players getting garbage minutes over the rookie contracts

    At least the tank improved.

  2. I turn on the Utah game in the 4th to watch the #5 overall pick and to see how good this kid is,only to watch him get frozen out of the offense by a fossilized version of Kyle Anderson and a Cody Williams brick fest.Goodnight.

  3. Said this in the game thread, but a little confused on Collier starting with KG playing as good as he has been. You can see that his rhythm and the teams was off as a result of that, although I guess you can say his off ball game needs improvement too?

Lots of dumb moments and Wolves physicality just outright shook the Jazz. Seems like we need a dog out there to wake them up on the court during these moments like Harkless has which does worry a little bit as these are all young guys who should have that fire. I’m still yelling Free Cody, I’ve liked what I’ve seen from him, let’s give give him more minutes please.

Also Ace is looking better every game, still a little reckless and not playing at his own pace, but I do see improvements throughout. His vision and defense has shown more flashes than his offensive game in the regular season so far.

Terrible game throughout, but we face them on home court soon. They’ll bounce back.. hopefully. Also anyone complaining about “what this team is aiming for”, these types of higher level games prove that this team is nowhere near close to competing yet.

  4. The most effective play any team can run vs us is a simple pick and roll dead center. We have no clue how to defend that. Never seen so many wide open rollers.

Next most effective play is when their ball handler starts on the wing, takes 1 dribble towards the middle and passes to the other guy on the wing. Teams must shoot 80% from 3 on that play. We always over help the drive and can’t close out to save our life.

Our half court offense simple isn’t effective. A lot of staring at the off ball action. Our ball handlers need to look at getting to the rim.

Our transition play isn’t that bad, we just can never get into it because we can’t get stops.

  5. I love how the only game we won and weren’t completely embarrassed in was against the Celtics lmao

  6. I understand what Hardy WAS trying to do. Maybe this team was a play in type team with Kessler, but that dream is dead.

I’m not going to hold out hope that Hardy has a change of heart, but it sure would be nice to see Key, Ace, Lauri, Hendricks, and Flip play 30 min and IC, Walt, and Cody get consistent bench minutes.
