Is Matas Buzelis + a ‘Tim Grover’ plan the only realistic way to neutralize Giannis? Yes/No, what’s a realistic backup plan?

Does Matas have to eventually be our Giannis-stopper? (Á la MJ+Tim Grover off-season bulking) Is that our only hope? Or is this solvable with a trade? What are realistic solutions?

Matas wouldn’t have to bulk up if Pat Williams did now Kawhi things… and I’m not talking about planting trees OR delivering flowers. Nevertheless, bulking up would be good, but it shouldn’t be necessary
Believe it or not, Buzelis will definitely become a Giannis stopper. Just when Giannis retires.
Solvable with a trade. A trade for Giannis.

We need mf Carlos boozer to stop giannis bro.
this is just too blinkered a way of thinking about stuff. there’s no giannis stopper. he’s one of the best players in the world. only a team strategy would be sufficient, and even then, it really wouldn’t be, because he’s giannis. buzelis could probably use some more bulk in general, but i’d be surprised
if he really adds a ton. you’ve gotta be careful adding weight to any guy his size.
Matas’ is more like KD body than Giannis.
Giannis earns the Freak name for a reason.
Even if Matas goes up a level in strength that man is in another stratosphere(i hope Matas gets stronger, it would help his offensive game if he could at times bump guys out of the way).
I think Patrick Williams should start(and play nearly 30m) over Okoro against the Bucks, it’s not gonna stop Giannis, but it’s most adequate guy.
Realistic backup plan?
DT with a baseball bat.
That was a winnable game even with Giannis going off. It was the turnovers that killed us. Some nights you miss the shots, maybe Coby fixes that. We could have stayed in it with 3s. But the turnovers made it impossible, and that’s part of what comes with Giddey, and why Lonzo was sometimes a breath of relief last year. Giddey is so loose with his dribble, Lonzo, when healthy, kept the ball safe. A second, reliable ball handler would help.
solution is getting a center who actually attempts to protect the rim
