NHL Highlights | Blackhawks vs. Flames | November 07, 2025

Frost line with Coronado and Hubbero will start
for the Flames. Yon Kousnets on the back end in place of Kevin Ball paired beside Rasmus Anderson
underway at the Saddle Dome. Grinder with us on this Friday evening. You talk about the hot starts
as well. He scored inside the first minute of the game against Columbus puts it on. And there’s the
first stop from Spencer Knight. Starts to play into the Chicago zone with a little help as well.
Coleman and Hanzac Hanik taking it back one in tight and a stop by Knight and love his attitude
Sam Hanick. It was a match up early last season against these Hawks that kind of changed his way
of thinking his back puts it on to Spencer Knight through a crowd and somehow the Hawks goender
able to find it. Jeff Blashel new bench boss in Chicago going with 11 and seven for most of this
season and he’ll stick with that tonight. Chris shot reaches Wol Pad save. Krebier keeps it alive.
Veroski played with Seattle last season. Now at Hawks colors on that top line and a shot into Wol
from Krebier’s handled correct up the boards. Bla didn’t keep it going. Back to the line. McKaya
and a shot by Blic handled by Wol. bouncing butt into the corner zone looking for a seam but
Kaiser was there to prevent that up ice that one nearly trickled through Dustin Wolf in fact it
did just scoop through but hit the side of the net Anderson as he moved that puck comes back to do
shoots close save he got that left hand up in a hurry on side was mamm he’s stretched out flames
get to that puck wanted to make a play nearly turned it over then did back down low it goes
and Wol able to handle that shot. Sharp angle. Murphy moved it along. Handley nearly stole from
classic for Flames down deep. Hubo shoots and a stop by Spencer Knight there. Nearly worked for a
scoring chance. Flame start with a puck trying to generate another. Gett shot right on rebound right
through the top of the crease. That came close for Cadry in the slot looking for Zer. stick
was tied up last moment for Tuesday will get the Hawks out of trouble. Carolina
wanted to go around Anderson to Nazar. Anderson read that perfectly steals and
swings it up to Cadri. Cadry some room. Shock blocker stopped Knight. Cadri got all
of that and Knight came up with a big save. Weer again some time with both teams changing.
Flames looking for the first goal of the hockey game as Coleman peppers in off his stick
to Bagley up ice. Hanley shot glove down Knight and he’ll not allow a rebound. Great
touch. I knew you’d like that. Great touch. I know he’s a big golfer and uh he put a
couple calls in and got a few favors to get those in for game. Coronado testing
night and he’s got the glove working. Jason just a couple of penalties just one in
each of the last two games and the Flames go to both off as back puts it right on the night.
So Calgary trying to continue their successful penalty killing rate around looking for the pass
and that was blocked by Laguer. Bard recovers another full rotation in the Calgary zone to
Bernard. His shot tipped in for Tusi scores. The power play setup beats the Flames. Now,
did it go off the skate? We’ll see if this is a kicking motion or did he redirect it?
As you see, he gets his stick down there. And then that’s going to be close because he
he is kind of kicking towards the net. Watch the motion here. He tries to redirect it,
but it’s up in the air. Almost looks like he’s trying to make a toe save. This one’s
going to be close. right over the stick of Weaguer. It’s it’s it’s just such a a gray
area. So after a hat-tick in Vancouver for Verusi opens the scoring here on the power play
for the Blackhawks, his seventh of the season. Kaiser slides across. Murphy
shot handled. No rebound. Back fluttering puck in and
out of the glove of Knight. Second one he’s had problems with, but Night out. Kaiser off of Pino right on goal. Wolfe wants to keep it going. Hawks are changing.
His nets have across. Anderson a little chip. Nearly sprung Cadbury. Now he’s
in. Flames have to get out. They do. McKay have lost it. Zerry picks it up. Drops for
Cadric. His shot. Left pass. Stop. Big rebound. Zary was there. Couldn’t continue up. And by the
way, no Frank Nazar was 11 points for the Hawks on the bench in the second period. So unconfirmed,
but appears as though his night may be done. Cross. Trying to get that to Hubo. Comes to him
anyway on the backhand. A jam play stopped by Knight. Watch this one right on the corner. Puck
comes to Hubo. His hands are still quick. Gets a nice little back hand. I agree with Conor too. I
I really like this first period. Nice accomplish has some room. Takes it shoots and that one off
the mask. He drops the helmet Anderson. You see a lot of ice here in the brief moments. Frost drops
for Hubo. Back to Frost coming up in front. Corno couldn’t finish off the tic-tac-toe. But Knight’s
right there to make the save. And Frost with a nice little backhand. Then quick little give and
go. Hubo. Frost back to Coronado. And he just Frost going up ice holding the line. Cla Hubo.
Frost goes to Hubo. His shot off the post. He’s going to get this puck and just throw it towards
the net. Zel at the line plays it to Vadar. Sharp angle threw it in front off the skate dog. Bounced
right onto Cavary who blows his own. He’s got Barby with him. Cavary up ice hole. Shoots stopped
by Knight who held his angle against Cavary. He quick glove save and Renzel went deep and that
allowed the twoon one. The pinching defenseman for Chicago. Then Cadrey Classic does a nice job
of taking that pass away. So Cadrey decides to shoot it. Perfect. Bard late blocked out Wol. What
a stop on the rebound, Dustin Wolf. Burkovski’s got to be shaking his head after this one.
And Bard’s going to just take that wrist shot. rebound pops right to Burkovski and watch Wol just
reach over with that left pad and boy oh boy what Flames have come out on their toes this period but
it’s a twoon one for the Hawks Bard in passes over Matusi scores second of the night for Tyler Matusi
two nothing Hawks early in the James, you go back to this opportunity. Kubo is going to make a
beautiful saucer pass and Coronado picks his spot, but Knight with a nice glove save and then Hadley
pinches down and because of that it brings a twoon one. No high guy in the play and Conor Bard just
lays this out so nicely right on the stick of Brutusi. And that’s just an absolutely perfect
shot. Wolf gets over but it’s elevated up and over Wolf. Beautiful knock. Cry keeps it alive.
finds Fairby sure go to France at it and Knight has it under the pads. Yeah, we’ll take a look
here and Fairby again doing some great work down low getting that puck out and you hear the whistle
then after the Flames throw that over the line. But I love this play here. Fairbye winning the
one-on-one battle. Sharon Gome is trying to poke that through and then of course Cadri coming in
there. He’s hungry to get one and get the Flames on the board. This is what’s going to take, right?
Anderson down low. Barby covering for him. Barby at the point made a gamble. Threeon one Chicago.
Verikovski for Tuesday. Verovsky shoot. Scores. Tough one for the Flames on a threeonone. Now
three nothing Chicago. And that’s if Chicago that’s who you want. But right there, Farby gets
caught in no man’s land and decides he’s going to lunge forward. But he gets caught flatfooted and
then the shot from Burkowski. It’s just a perfect feed from Bard and right there it’s Bowski that
starts the whole play off. He eludes Fabian and Bard. That’s just too much time. That’s a tough
play. Coronado shoots. Walker stopped. Frost on the rebound trying to pass it into the slot. That
was blocked. Kubo to Frost by Knight. Number 20’s got a minor trip as Frost puts that right over
in the strongsided one-time trying not to let the frustration mount with seven to go in the third.
Down by three. Hanzik swings it in front. Coleman Bland. How did that stay out for Burkovski right
down mainstream and a beautiful pass from Bed to Buzzi on the other one. Backlin can’t clear
left. Shanov kept it alive. Bard in front for Tusi. There’s that swing pass again. This time
Wolf ready for it with the right pad. You have to respect the shot because it’s Bard. People
talk about Pet Bard’s shoot his shooting prowess, but he’s extremely good passer. And watch
again watch the skate instead. Saw them do that briefly on the power play for Calgary, but
down three with just over two minutes to go. Cross turned it over. Bernard in alone. Deaks
scores. Four-point night for Bernard and he likes this one. Hawks up four nothing. He’s
going to surprise Morgan Frost. Frost is so clever with the puck, but Bernard’s having
none of it. strips it off and watch this move. Incredible hands as he goes side to side.
It’s almost like a trickle move, triple move. Quick stick right there to the acceleration and
then backhand, forehand. You run it to a a star player like Connor Bedard and the puck ends up on
his stick, the puck usually ends up in the back of the net. And that was the story in this one,
John. Sixth career shut out for Spencer Knight.

  1. After some years, the Hawks are finally fun to watch and very competitive on the ice.
Anyone else feel like this is the start of something special for years to come with all the young guys playing so well?

  2. I've said that bertuzzi is easily I've of my favorite players in the league since he was on my home team. He came up a little different than a lot of these players. I love his grit and his crazy deflection goals out of mid air. Homeboy has five goals in 2 games!! He definitely is a good fit for bedard

  3. Why doesn’t the editor put fights in the highlights? My opinion is that they are for sure highlights. Is it that the NHL sees it as a negative aspect and doesn’t want to include them?
