NHL Highlights | Blackhawks vs. Flames – November 7, 2025

Frost flying with Coronado and Hubo will start for the Flames. Gon Kousnets on the back end in place of Kevin Ball paired beside Rasmus Anderson underway at the Saddle Dome. Glider with us on this Friday evening. Talk about the hot starts as well. He scored inside the first minute of the game against Columbus puts it on. And there’s the first stop from Spencer Knight. Starts to play into the Chicago zone with a little help as well. Coleman and Hansick. Hanza taking the back one in tight and a stop by Knight. Jeff Blashel new bench boss in Chicago going with 11 and seven for most of the season and he’ll stick with that tonight. Grizzl reaches Wolf lap save Kierov aroundsky looking for the pass and that was blocked by Weaguer. Bard recovers another full rotation in the Calgary zone to Bard. His shot tipped in Tusi scores. The power play setup beats the Flames. See if this is a kicking motion or did he redirect it? As you see, he gets his stick down there. And then that’s going to be close because he he is kind of kicking towards the net. Watch the motion here. He tries to redirect it, but it’s up in the air. Almost looks like he’s trying to make a toe save. This one’s going to be close. Right over the stick of Weaguer picks it up. Drops for Cadric. His shot left stop. Big rebound. Zary was there. Couldn’t continue up with the rebound chance. And we’ve got to fight Baraby and Doc. Joel Bar throwing them with Colton Doc who ends up on top of Barby who wants to get the Calgary Flames going. And you see the love from the Flames bench. [Music] Go back to the net front. There’s Fabby. He’s coming up the ice. Number 34. It looks like you want to go like, “Sure, let’s do this.” And two of them square up, get a couple shots in each, and Fairy just dodged that last one. And down they went. Calgary really good in that first period of the draw. John typically don’t see it that lopsided and there’s another one. Frost wins it back for the Flames who I’m sure trusting the process starting the puck a little bit more. Feel like they can generate a few more chances on Spencer Knight. And by the way, no Frank Nazar has 11 points for the Hawks on the bench in the second period. So unconfirmed, but appears as though his night may be done. Cross trying to get that to Hubo. Comes to him anyway on the backhanded jam play. Stopped by Knight. Watch this one right in the corner. Puck comes to Hubo. His hands are so quick. Gets a nice little backhand. I want to see anybody get hit with a puck. It’s just previous examples this year provided the other outcome. So interesting. And we’ve got another tilt here. We classic some big lefts. [Applause] Classic the larger of the two trying to tie up weaguer classic 65 222 McKenzie Weaguer ring the bell got the better of that one fight the classic watch on the ice there 52 lb weager steps up and and that’s a good hit on you’re you’re coming down the alley you got to have your head up but classic decides to challenge weaguer and this time to the counter B shaken up. Felo was the one that got him. So we’ll keep our eyes on St. B who’s trying to shake things off. And a hard hit. Zary and Felino. And Hanley comes right after Felino. And this one’s turning ugly on a Friday night rather quickly. Felo and Hanley dropping the gloves just as Lombberg changed. So the outcome could have been different. Lombberg made it onto the ice just a hair before this, but Hanley trying to hang in there. Sticking up for his teammate just like the Hawks did a couple of shifts earlier and BolinO’s going to let the linesman come in here as right there. He gets Connor Zerry. Not much there on that hit, but Calgary 44 is two minutes for roughing and five minutes for fighting. He got he got correct earlier cuz Felo saying, “Hey, that wasn’t much of a hit right there.” And then the fight that ensues after a little bit of a mismatch Anderson. You see a lot of ice here in the brief moments. Frost drops for Hubo. Back to Frost out in front. Coronado couldn’t finish off the tic-tac-toe right there to make the save. And Frost with a nice little backhand. Then quick little give and go. Hubo. Frost back to Coronado. And he just Frost going up ice. holding the line. Clapka Hubo cross goes to Hubo. His shot off the post. Going to get this puck and just throw it towards the net. And at the line, plays it to Badar. Sharp angle. Threw it in front off the skate and do bounced right onto Cry who blows his own. He’s got Barby with him. Cry up. Nice hole. Shoots stopped by Knight who held his angle. Quick glove save and Renzel went deep and that allowed the twoonone. You had the pinching defenseman from Chicago. Then Cadrey Classic does a nice job of taking that pass away. So Cadrey decides to shoot it. Murphy Bard late blocked out. What a stop on the rebound Dustin Wolf. Barkovski’s got to be shaking his head after this one. And Bard’s going to just take that wrist shot. Rebound pops right to Burovski. Watch Wolfe just reach over with that left pad and boy oh boy. And of course Flames fans, they want to see Breck play every game. Never mind how difficult it is to see him leave a game. Flames have come out on their toes this period, but it’s a twoon one for the Hawks. Bard in passes over Matusi scores. Second of the night for Tyler Matusi. Two nothing Hawks early in the third. You go back to this opportunity. Uber is going to make a beautiful saucer pass and Coronado picks his spot. But Knight with a nice glove save and then Hadley pinches down and because of that it brings a twoon-one. No high guy on the play and Connor Bard just lays this out so nicely right on the stick of Brutusi and that’s just an absolutely perfect shot. Wolf gets over but it’s elevated up and over Wolfe. Beautiful. Good knock. Cry keeps it alive. Fairy behind the net out in front. Shovs at it and Knight has it under the pads. Yeah, we’ll take a look here and Fairbe again doing some great work down low getting that puck out and you hear the whistle then after the Flames throw that over the line. But I love this play here. Fairbye winning the one-on-one battle. Sharon go is trying to poke that through and then of course Cry coming in there. He’s hungry to get one and get the Flames on the board. This is what it’s going to take. Knight Anderson down low. Barby covering for him. Barby at the point made a gamble. Threeon-one Chicago. Verovski for Tuesday. Verovski shoot scores. Tough one for the Flames on a threeon-one. Now three nothing Chicago. And that’s if Chicago that’s who you want. But right thereby gets caught in no man’s land and decides he’s going to lunge forward but he gets caught flatfooted and then the shot from Burkowski. It’s just a perfect feed for Bard. And right there it’s Bowski that starts the whole play off. He eludes Fabian and Bard. That’s just too much time and it’s a tough place. Coronado shoots. Blocker stopped. Frost on the rebound trying to pass it into the slot. That was blocked. Uber to Frost. Coronado by Knight. Andre trying not to let the frustration mount with seven to go in the third. Down by three. Hanzik swings it in front. Coleman back. How did that not stay out for Burkovoski right down main street and a beautiful pass from Bedard to forzi on the other one back can’t clear left Shanov kept it alive in fronti there’s that swing pass again this time Wol ready for it with the right pad you have to respect the shot because it’s Bard people talk about Bedard’s shooting saw them do that briefly on the power play for Calgary but down three with just over two minutes to [Applause] Cross turned it over. Bernard in alone. Deaks scores. Four-point night for Bernard and he likes this one. Hawks up four nothing. He’s going to surprise Morgan Frost. Frost is so clever with the puck, but Bernard’s having none of it. Strips it off Frost. And watch this move. Incredible hands as he goes side to side. It’s almost like a trickle move, triple move, quick stick right there to the acceleration of the backhand, forehand. You run it to a a star player like Connor Bedard and the puck ends up on his stick, the puck usually ends up in the back of the net. And that was the story in this one, John. Sixth career shut out for Spencer Knight. [Music]

Connor Bedard collected four points on the night, while Tyler Bertuzzi potted two goals as the Chicago Blackhawks shut out the Calgary Flames 4-0. Spencer Knight stopped all 33 shots faced for his sixth win of the season.

  1. As a very distant Hawks fan. This is a tad bittersweet. I like Calgary. It is very as in very difficult to take anything positive from this abysmal performance from the Flames. Total dumpster fire.
