THEY’VE HAD A SIMMERING ISSUE WITH KYLER MURRAY DATING BACK TO THE HOMEWORK CLAUSE. THEY TRIED TO JAM INTO HIS CONTRACT 3 YEARS AGO. WE MENTIONED THIS ON THE FNI PODCAST ON SUNDAY NIGHT, I YESTERDAY. AS I WAS DOING THE WIDE NET, WHO MAY BE TRADED STUFF OVER THE WEEKEND AND IT WAS A CONSTANTLY EVOLVING THING. LIKE I GOT A FLASH ON SATURDAY THAT YOU KNOW I COULD KIND OF LIKE, IS THERE A WAY KYLER MURRAY GETS TRADED BY THE DEADLINE? AND THERE’S, THERE’S NOT, THERE’S TOO MANY MOVING PARTS AND EVERY TIME, I SAY THAT, I THINK S*** HE’S GOING TO GET TRADED TODAY, ISN’T HE? BUT THIS FEELS LIKE IT’S ENDING BETWEEN THE CARDINALS AND KYLER MURRAY, AND I THINK IT ENDS IN THE OFFSEASON AND I THINK THAT’S THE REAL THING HERE. THIS ISN’T ABOUT HOW DO THEY TIPTOE THROUGH THE LANDMINE OF NOT SAYING THE WRONG BUILDING TO REWARD KYLER BEING TRADED TO A NEW TEAM, BUT PART OF IT IS YOU CAN’T. IF YOU WANT TO GET MAXIMUM VALUE FOR KYLER MURRAY, YOU CAN’T MAKE HIM YOUR NUMBER 2 QUARTERBACK. YOU CAN’T BENCH, KYLER MURRAY.   4. Whatever Cards do to shed Kyler Midget Murray, that’d be great. Heck, I’d take the Russell Wilson option of pay him just to leave. Why the Cards resigned Murray remains a mystery to me. In my 20+ years of following the Cards, they’ve had about three solid QBs and Murray ain’t one of ‘em. He’s inconsistent, sulky, and lousy leader. He’s a short Cam Newton.

    The three were Neil Lomax, Kurt Warner, and Jake Plummer.

  6. I’ve always said it and been proven true small qb’s can’t play on this level. Only 3 QBs in NFL history won as small guys Steve Drew & Russ Kyler is not one of those guys. Now that his athleticism is waning it’s looking worse and worse

  22. not only did kyler drop 40 on the Cowboys defense when they were actually good, the reason the Cardinals have lost is DEFENSE… NOT KYLER… They literally lost a 30 point lead to the Titans… the moment Jacoby faces a good defense he is cooked.

  23. They should call New Orleans and the Cleveland and work out a trade. I don't really see a market for a small and fragile QB besides those 2 desperate teams. Tua is in the same boat

  24. Brissett plays 10 games, the win/loss, rating, etc will get to his typical level that is not among the top 20 starters, the bottom 12 are temporary or experiments. This is a Murray thing and him not being among the top 20 QBs in 17 games, and injuries and availability counts. The 6 years is a fact of not making the playoffs and regularly being last place in your division. That is beyond a single contract, and do you give a 2nd contract to someone who has not gone to the playoffs a few times and drafted top 10 last year.

  26. wouldn't be surprised if he goes to baseball, he had a good run in the NFL got paid a lot of money had wonderful experiences. He was drafted in the top 10 of both sports after all.

  27. I am a Murray fan. Many of us forget how GOOD he was before the ACL tear. Rookie of the year, Pro Bowls, and at one point…….. In the MVP voting. I DO wish him luck! But numbers dont lie, Brissett HAS looked like the better quarterback!

  31. for the people saying he should have played Baseball, he has no effing work ethic and that's the problem! It doesnt matter what he plays (besides CoD) he dont give a crap. No way he is going to go thru the farm system A, AA, AAA etc.

  32. The Cardinals put QB Kyler Murray on I.R. Which basically means that we're going to bench you for a couple of weeks to see if Brisett can step up and allow us to trade you and get rid of your contact. The NFL is a crazy business
