McVay and the Rams already got their Super Bowl, while the 49ers lost both of theirs under Shanahan, and Shanahan three times. You kinda wonder if the Niners would ever move on from him, but they seem fine just winning without actually finishing the job. Shanahan’s a good coach, but he just can’t get over the hump, and Purdy isn’t that guy. They faced injury problems last year and now this year, their guys are old.
I don’t think they got the balls like the Eagles to fire their Super Bowl winning coach who was still winning and making the playoffs to get over the hump. Or in Shanahan case Super Bowl appearing coach.
Their window feels cooked.
Wonder how much Stafford weights down the offensive age average, because their RB core is young. Maybe adding Adams with Nacua, and Higbee isn’t young anymore. I knew the 9ers were old tho
