New York Jets 2026 Mock Draft After The 2025 NFL Trade Deadline
[Music] It is officially mock draft season here on the channel. Welcome into the Jets report. My name is Patrick Seatman and coming up we’re going to be diving into a 2026 New York Jets mock draft. After they sold Quinnon Williams and Sauce Gardner at NFL trade deadline and stockpiled premium draft picks, I thought it was only right to dive into our first mock draft here on Saturday. So, we’re going to be only making six selections in this mock draft. It’s going to be round one pick number three, the Jets own draft pick where it sits right now, and then also the Colts draft pick sitting at pick number 32, then their own second, then the Cowboys second at pick number 46, and then the Jets do have two fourthrounders. So, we’re only going to be making six selections. I don’t really think it makes too much sense, you know, dive into round six and seven as, you know, not doing a bunch of scouting on these guys and most likely they’re not going to be impact players there. But I think the biggest question with the Jets heading into this next draft is should the Jets draft a quarterback? Obviously, they have a massive need at the quarterback position, you could go a veteran stop gap guy or if you really love one of these QB prospects, probably makes some sense to uh take one of them. But also, I’m open to the Jets possibly trade back here. But you guys, let me know your thoughts. Should the Jets draft a quarterback, give me a D for draft, or give me a P for pass. Now, in this first New York Jets mock draft, we are going to have them selecting a quarterback at number three overall. And we’re going to have the New York Jets selecting Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza. I am a massive fan of his game. He has a lot of moxy. He’s got a lot of great leadership qualities. He has a charisma about him that can really spark a locker room. And the thing is with my decision to draft a quarterback here is all this doesn’t matter unless you find that quarterback. And I understand you want to build a stack roster. You want to get some good players around them. But specifically offensively like the Jets, you have a pretty damn good offensive line. You got your franchise tight end. You should at least have one of the two um or you should at least have two of the three running backs on your team next season that you have right now. Brandon Allen, Bree Hall, and Isaiah Davis. And if you bring Bree Hall back, you’ll be good at the running back position. And also with that in, you know, AD Mitchell, John Mchi next to Garrett Wilson, like the wide receiver room isn’t as bad as it was a couple weeks ago. So, it really all doesn’t matter unless you find that QB. Obviously, you got to improve that defense and we’ll do that throughout the rest of this mock draft. But, you know, I do think ideally for Mendoza, you would have a stop gap quarterback. And, you know, that’s where you can still use Justin Fields. Like, I don’t think it’s off the table that Justin Fields is starting week one next season. Now, do would I agree with that move? Probably not. I don’t think Fields should be a starter anymore in the NFL after this season. Um, so maybe you could go get another veteran option out there like maybe Jacobe Brassette or, you know, maybe one of these other guys that, you know, leaves their current organization and is just a good stop guy. But you could use Justin Fields for the first couple weeks. He doesn’t end up playing well, then you throw Fernando Mendoza into the lineup. But I am a massive fan of his game. He’s a very accurate quarterback. He can push the ball down the field. He could he’s got honestly an unreal arm and he’s just a very composed quarterback. I think he processed this game very well and he’s a big reason why Indiana right now ranks second in the country. But with the Jets second first round pick, we are going to have them going dackle here and a guy who is an absolute dog, Christian Miller. Um, and little kind of real analysis, also fake analysis here. A George defensive lineman, I’m in. Um, if you go turn on the tape for this guy, this guy is an absolute mer. Like, he plays super aggressive. He plays with a swagger. He plays with a confidence I love. And the Jets have a massive need at the defensive tackle spot. Harrison Phillips, he’s a veteran. He’s, you know, probably be on the team next year, but again, like you don’t really have another guy next to him. And, you know, he would just or he would be just that. So, I’ll be all in taking a Georgia defensive lineman um with the second uh first round pick the Jets have. But this is probably my favorite selection here. And I would be cool with taking this guy on the first round. Um I think he’s going to be the best wide receiver in this draft class. And I think he’s going to be one of the better wide receivers in the National Football League. And that’s Elijah Sarat, Indiana wide receiver. You’re already going to still have that connection of him and Mendoza. And this guy really does remind me of honestly a bigger ama I bua. Like I just watched every route he has ran this season. This guy play takes no plays off. He is a crisp route runner. He’s got great size. He’s got great hands. And why I think he’s going to fall because he’s not like a typical burner. Like his score when it comes out, it’s not going to blow you away. But this guy has made clutch plays all year on third downs late in the fourth quarter. And he would be a perfect wide receiver too next to Garrett Wilson. You got Garrett Wilson being the guy all world talent, one of the best wide receivers in the league. Then you have a guy like Elijah where you would just compliment Garrett Wilson so so well and also this would be a safe pick for the Jets. His floor in my opinion is extremely high. Now does he have the ceiling of some of these other guys in draft class? Probably not. Um just with his limited athletic ability, but you know still I say that he’s still a freak athlete. Um but he’s not like guys like you know Jameson Williams coming out of college where he had you know blazing speed over the top. But I mean you guys can see it here like he’s a big physical wide receiver. He’s not afraid to block in the run game as well. He also just plays like the game of football the right way. Like he is a coach’s dream out there. So I would be all in on this guy. Honestly, he’s probably one of those guys as we keep doing these mock drafts. It’s like the Jets can’t leave this draft without drafting him because I think he’s that special. Great route runner, great hands, great separation at high level. Um really one of my favorite prospects in this year’s draft. But I ask you guys this. All right, in round two, we’re going to attack the secondary here and that’s going to be the safety position and we’re going to select Michigan safety Rodmore. Massive fan of this guy’s game. Very versatile football player. Fits in well with, you know, what Steve Wilks and Aaron Gwen want to do defensively. Good tackler as well. Good coverage over the top. Very good athlete. They could be a solid selection in the top 50 of this year’s draft class. and why we’re attacking safety is because you got to get more talent in this room. Uh Malachi Moore still a big question mark, but you know, hopefully he ends up working out, but then besides that, I mean, you got absolutely nobody. Don’t think the Jets going to bring Andre Cisco back. You got Tony Adams starting right now. Maybe it’ll be Dean Clark, Isaiah Oliver, but still point being you need to add a safety to this room. And I can almost guarantee it that at least with one of the Jets first four picks in this upcoming draft, they will attack the safety position. I think that is a guarantee. You’re probably going to try to get, you know, hopefully your quarterback of the future. Maybe you try to get another wide receiver, defensive tackle, but you are no doubt, you know, not going to leave the top 50 without selecting a safety with one of your uh first four picks here. But in round four, pick 103, we’re going to get a college football legend in my opinion. One of my favorite players to watch. Um has definitely struggled the last couple of weeks, but that being Harold Perkins Jr. now a very versatile football player and that’s why this one of those guys you just let Aaron Glenn cook with him. He’s got great great instincts. You can play him, you know, as a true offball linebacker. You can play him as a middle linebacker, you can play some edge, he can cover in the slot even at some points like this guy can really do it all in the front seven um for a defense. And you know, with those versatile football players, like they’re so uh just key for these defensive coordinators who have these unique schemes, like the line guys all over the map. And you know, that’s what he’s been doing throughout his college career. Like even earlier this year, they’re treating him more like an edge rusher, but then over the last couple weeks, they bounced him to being a more true middle linebacker, spying the quarterback, which is also one of his strong suits. So, I would have some interest there. But in round four, pick 139, we get the Jets probably getting the best name in this draft class. NC State running back Hollywood Smothers. Um, listen, I only think the Jets are going to draft a running back or even consider drafting a running back in the first, you know, four rounds if Bree Hall walks. But even if Bree Hall does walk, it’s not like a guarantee that they’re going to go draft a running back because you still have Brillin Allen, Isaiah Davis. I think that is a more than fine running back duo you can have. And, you know, Hollywood Smothers, he passes the name test, that’s for sure. I mean, his name is freaking Hollywood. I absolutely love that. But, you know, after going back and watching this tape, and maybe this is a ludicrous comparison that I’m about to make, he kind of reminds me of Jir Gibbs. Now, is he as physical as Jir Gibbs? Absolutely not. But his juice and the way he is able to just make guys miss in the hole, like the way he like like sets up his blockers, it is very Gibbsesque. Um, so he is a smaller running back, but he does have some serious juice here and I think he’d be a good selection um at the end of round four. So, here are the six guys we have uh or we took in our 2026 Jets mock draft. We got Fernando Mendoza, round one, pick number three, and we’re going Christian Miller, round one, uh pick number 32, Elijah Zarat, um in round two. Then we go Rod Moore. Then we also got Harold Perkins. Then we also got Hollywood Smothers as well. But if you guys could grade this mock draft for us, give me an A, B, C, D, or F. I think this would be a solid hall. Obviously, a lot of college football left to be played and a lot of these guys are going to skyrocket up boards and after the scouting combine and some guys are going to, you know, fall down draft boards. So, but as of right now, I would be very happy if the Jets left to draft um with these being their first six selections. Now, if you guys could hit that subscribe button on your way out, we keep you guys posted with everything around your New York Jets. We’ll see you guys next time. As always, go Jets. [Music]

If Jets are picking 3 there is no way Mendoza is still there imo!

Jets will go 6:11 and keep Fields as they should
Dante Moore looks good too.

Dude you sound crazy you don't know what you talking about period
drop back
C-. I'm not wasting a 1st round pick on a DT. One of the biggest bust positions in any draft. I want LB Sonny Styles from OSU. He has a zero % missed tackle rate. What is the Jets biggest defensive weakness, missed tackles.
Love your Mock drafts brother!!! Keep them coming. Do one where we don’t draft a QB eyeing the QB draft of 27
P
RB from BYU is the sleeper of the RB class we should target
C+ draft. First 3 picks are great, although I would prefer an OG rather than a DT at that spot. Then pick DT and edge before LB or RB or S for that matter.

Awful draft other than Mendoza. Uff. Next

Mendoza and Sarratt together ❤️ 💖 💕 💓 very Interesting…I really love Jeremiah Love too Patrick ❤❤❤❤
I think Breece is leaving 😢 😕 I want Jeremiah Love…All Aboard the Love Train Baby!!!!❤❤❤❤
Go Jets
Mendoza ✈✈✈
I like Ty Simpson a lot but not enough to draft #3 overall. I rather trade down and ideally land S Caleb Downs and LB’s Styles/Reese then target a WR, and with the final two top 6 picks go with Edge/DT/OL
Let's hope and pray that they identify the qb they want, weather this off-season or 27,and he's successful.
I would pass on the QB.
Get more draft choices for next year.
Why in the world everything they throw any wr in the mix they think there good enough. Remember these players couldn't start on t he team they came from. The wr room is terrible. Other than Wilson nobody could start on any of the other 31 teams please draft a wr PLEASE FOR GOD SAKE.
Great video fam. I hope Mendoza is available im tired of not having that franchise guy
I watched the penn State/ Induana game. The Jets have to do whatever they can, including some of their high draft picks to draft Mendoza. This man has ice in his veins.
