  2. Very nice to see some accountability. A lot of coaches around think that everything is everybody’s fault but them

  3. The fact that he makes a statement like that😎

ngl, I low key like the colour scheme of his sweater too

  4. can Molson just sign him for life? If he decide he doesn’t want to coach in the future he can just show up to dish inspirational quotes.

  5. The. Fucking. Best.

We are so lucky, and I will absolutely never be able to wrap my head around the wild calls for him to be fired over the last couple years. Utterly braindead lol.

  6. I am ready for this team to ride or die with this core , and that includes MSL. We’ve had the pleasure of watching him grow as a coach each year, and he’s a fantastic model of the kind of culture we want to have in that dressing room. I’ve seen two Stanley Cups, loved this team all my life, and never felt so passionate for them to win it all.

    This team is very special

  7. He’s growing with the team. He’s 50 years old, but he’s still youthful. His hockey skills are still very clearly there. And of course he has the resume as a player… He speaks the same language his players do and he walks the walk. All of these things are exactly what the newer generations need from a coach.

You don’t become the player he was with the career that he had by being an egotistical dickhead.

  8. Look at that. Instead of countless bitching posts about TOI, the guy just addresses and does it honestly.

  9. The Habs are at the top with the youngest team in the league after 14 games. Literally no one expected this, this is way above expectations. You’re doing a great job, Marty.

  10. Sometimes it seems like people forget that Marty is a new coach without much experience. He’s learning and getting better every year, same as the players. It’s awesome to see them all growing together, which is probably why the vibes have been amazing with the team for so long

  11. We all know we have a young team (The youngest in the league) Same goes for the coaching staff, they are learning too! I find it nice and quite refreshing to see him flat out saying it and admitting his faults (We all have some) and that he’s working on it.

  12. J’aime énormément sa manière de marcher suivant la confession de Doby après le match contre NJ.
C’est une question d’équipe; j’ai une Osti de confiance en eux cette année.
Je sais pas mais HABS va gagner 4-1 ce soir.

  13. Pretty near perfect response. Compliments the team and takes a bit of a shot at himself. People that take responsibility for what they do are not as common as I’d like at all levels.

  14. I’m sometimes critical of his choices on the ice, but the good out weighs the bad by miles with MSL. I really hope he coaches us to a cup someday, would just be the ultimate fairy tale.

  15. First time I hear self criticism from him and I’m glad. He is also a young coach that’s learning the NHL ways. I love him and I’m sure in his prime he’ll be a hell of a coach.

  16. Growth mentalities are so rare in management positions, love to see it. You know his players see it, too, qnd that absolutely helps the buy-in. Not a guy that dictates, a guy that leads and is growing every game, too. Love it.

  17. love that Marty is always willing to learn. One thing i think he might want to correct is the having 1 1st line and 3 other lines. It really doesn’t make sense to have Veleno playing more than Demidov even w Demi getting PP time. Marty should load up the 2nd line – Demi/Dach/Bolduc and have legitimate checking/shutdown lines to defend leads.

  18. I was frustrated with last games ice times. I’m happy he has some humility and introspection. That’s how you improve. Makes me feel better with the way things are going.

  19. Just when I think Marty is super awesome, he goes and does this and I love him even more. Guy has zero ego. Love it. The guys must absolutely love playing for him!
