Does anyone else hate this?

  1. He won a ring in Tampa, they’re allowed to claim him too

Let’s beat them by 20 though

Edit: I also love this because of Patriots Legend Revis Island

  2. I do but not because of the reason everyone else does. This game is 2 playoff teams with both QB’s in the MVP race, and probably one of the few test our schedule gives us to see where we really are. Lol that should be how this game is hyped, not “the teams Brady played for face off!”

  3. I don’t follow social media outside of reddit so…who cares?

People falling for farming is funny

  4. You know what? Our favorite team had Tom Brady for 20 years. We should embrace all things Tom Brady.

It’s kind of funny how Tom Brady went to TB and got them a Lombardi and retired as the best QB in Bucs history. But fans have every right to embrace him as well.

This game is like a celebration of life for your rich grandpa who lived to be 100. The Bucs are like a distant cousin that got a small slice of the inheritance.

  5. It doesnt matter. If a bucs fan is ever talking shit remind them that it took a patriot to make their team relevant.

  6. So many goofy out there thinking Brady will be remembered for three seasons as a buccaneer as opposed to 20 as a patriot where he won six out of seven of his Super Bowls, the team literally built a fucking statue of him outside of our stadium, but people act like his box career is anywhere near his patriot career

  7. This is like Chiefs fans telling Montana “you’ll always be KC Joe” or Wizards fans telling Jordan “Washington will always be home”. Makes me sick to my stomach but so does pretty much anything coming out of Florida so makes sense really.

  8. It’s cute that TB thinks they can claim him.

…sure. And Bobby Orr will always be a Blackhawk, amirite?

  9. I’m enjoying all the attention, that first game had similar vibes at that point of the season.

  10. Why are people mad that Bucs fans love Brady? He played some amazing football and won a Super Bowl there. Bucs fans are completely justified. I rooted hard for Brady and the Bucs during his time there.

  11. Yes. Tom Brady’s not playing. Did they call it the Montana Bowl every time SF played KC after Joe Montana retired??

  12. Do the Broncos get a claim on Peyton Manning? I think so. If you win a Superbowl with a franchise you’ve done more than 90% of QBs that come into the league do for their team. Brady was the centerpiece in a Dynasty for NE and the star of an electric team that dominated during his time there for the Buccs. Both can be true. Both can consider him an important part of their teams legacy.

  13. As a bucs fan, I’ll always love Brady for winning us a Super Bowl, but understand he should retire as a Patriot. But the fact that he won a ring with Tampa makes him a Bucs legend too. It is kinda refreshing to see level headed takes from pats fans on Reddit. Go Bucs, but its also hard to root against this Pats team-Drake Maye and Vrabel are awesome

  14. The most profitable pieces of content are the most inane, insufferable, annoying, frustrating, and drop-dead wrong.

ESPN has had more engagement from Max Kellerman’s “Brady will go off a cliff” argument than any other piece of content.

Yes we hate it. We are human. We are outraged. We express our outrage. They make money. Very difficult to stop. We should all become Amish.

  15. Eh, let them have their Brady crumbs. Half of the TB TB12 fans are snowbirds, the other half hated him when he was in NE.

Let the fair weather fans wrinkle in the sun

  16. Brady has made it clear himself that both teams are important to him and part of his legacy. “Just don’t make me pick a side.”

  17. I’m not going to lie that would be funny as fuck. I’d love to see a new trend of teams being super petty and inducting players into their ring of honor like that.

Pats should induct Revis next home game against the Jets.
