NHL Highlights | Blue Jackets vs. Canucks – November 8, 2025

set to go. Canucks against Columbus. The start of a weekend backto back here at Rogers Arena. Right. And an important one for the Vancouver Conucks. Matt Cissone trying to move from center. He was check. Denton Mate fires up the left wing. The puck is sent into Vancouver’s home by Jenner. He mentioned Cylinger the son of exok Mike Cylinger. He’d need 11 jerseys framed in his office for all the teams he played for. Here’s Drew O’ Connor. The power move to the front and he couldn’t get that to go past Ms. Leakans. If you talk to Silly enough, he’ll tell you, man, teams wanted me at the deadline. Here’s Quinn Hughes centering. Oh, there’s a stop off Ratu who had two goals when these teams last met last season. The only two goal game in the career of Au Ratu. Hughes dancing in backhander stopped and he gets the puck again to the corner. Quinn Hughes to the blue line. Veronic a long shot left hand saved by Mers Lickens. He’ll throw all the Suns out. Son of Randy. Here’s Johnson and now a long shot attempt. Puck to the crease. Covered by Lanken and they kept jamming away. Puck came free. Kent Johnson of the blue line. Now Monahan Johnson attacking from the side. Sharp angle shot stopped by Lan. He’s not sure where the puck is. Oh, it’s loose and he made another save on the short side. Here’s a Vander Kane at the other end. Makes a move to get around behind the net. Dishes one back. Tom Belander. Long shot steered away by Elvis Mleens. Meyers left point. Marcus Penderson with the blast and Mleakens aggressively steered that one to the corner. It’s a real BC flavor to this lineup. There’s Kent Johnson mentioned from Port Moody. Christensen from West Ben, Fabro Kquitlam and Dyson Mayo as Lan and covers that one and eight of his 23 last year were the same category. So off to a very consistent and solid start to the year. Here’s a chance for Columbus and Dan and coming to his left stop for pressure. They have people on the puck. They support the puck well and there the Columbus beats Vancouver off the boards. Kent Johnson who’s had a nice start to this game finds Fantelli. That’s a great Here’s Fantily again with a wrist shot. Lank knocked it down. Rebound. He stopped that as well. Now another chance teed up for Karov and a right pad save by Lan. Looks dialed in steering that 90 mph slap shot to the corner. Canucks able to clear to the Columbus blue line after a flurry of activity around the Vancouver goal. Man is sharp in that series of shots. Couple difficult stops. Marchenko in. [Applause] Here’s Fantily across. Lorinsky stopped by Lanks ahead and now out to center onto the stick of Tyler Myers. Hughes near side. Puck ricochets the middle. Patterson to Kane. He shoots. Knocked down by Mers. Patterson digs the puck free. Able to get to the line to Marcus Patterson. Down for Elias Patterson. Marcus Patterson. Long wrist shot wide to the goal. Garland centers all the way back to Marcus Patterson. He’ll shoot again and Mley can steer that for the corner. Fanti comes up with the puck. Five minutes left in the first. Winsky ahead of the play across. Veronov to the net. Stopped by Lank. Advantage break and Veronov who’s got five goals to lead the the Jackets there. Turned aside by Lankin and as everybody piles centering pass in the final 10 seconds. Canucks will try to break back. 5 seconds to go in the period. De Bruss in. He shoots. Stopped. Rebound over top of the net and the horn sounds. Leakens. His shot gets by Fabro and Riel’s got the freebie. This hits Fantelli I believe as it goes up over the net. There’s the big rebound. The rebound. Yeah. Off the foot. The right foot. In your life and how many people you know that are affected by cancer even just currently. It is really quite astounding. It really is. My good buddy Eddie Ol was talking about. Let their feelings be known on that hit on Max Cone. Here’s a lead pass for Aatu. Ratson O’ Conor into the middle to Brass scores. [Music] [Applause] A deep to the forehand and a shot under the bar and the Conucks open to scoring against Columbus. So De Brusk will steal the puck here as he comes in. Nice look by O’ Conor. Okconor’s game starting to come and de Brusk loves this shot. He’ll leading Columbus. Here’s Marenko onto the right wing. Baronov has Ventil going to the net. Bronov centers. Kicked out. Rebound net was knocked off. I think they’re going to call it a goal as Marenko put it in. Tyler Myers crashed into the net, but Marenko at the same moment shot it in and he’s tied the game at one. Player that knocked the net off. We’ve talked about the the way that Columbus is dangerous off the rush. Long pass. Warenski to Marenko. He finds Veronov out wide and Veronov’s clean into the zone. He’s trying to shoot this for a deflection for Fantelli. Lankin makes that stop, but that rebound pops all the way out to Marenko. That’s his team leading seventh goal of the year and that connects one nothing lead as Hughes brings the puck ahead onto the left wing for Drew O’ Conor. Sharp angle shot hit the outside of the net. Penalty’s over. Severson Cylinger Pro through traffic deflected wide by Fanti. Puck centered. Fanty on the back hand stopped by Lankan who stayed with it. Knocked the puck down and covered it. Had a great year last year. A breakout year. this year’s he’s a little bit slow out of the gate here. Just two goals on the season. He’s got a great chance here. Lankin beats him with the glove stop. Played last game. He’s available to play but was replaced by Elias Patterson for this one. It was a healthy scratch the other night. Here’s a 48 in of the Vancouver zone. Puck jammed towards between the legs and poked in. Lankin didn’t know where it was. It was between his legs and Veronov came in to poke it in and make it 2-1 Columbus. is around the front of the net. Quick up through the middle of the ice for Fantilian as this puck is bouncing around and you mentioned that Lankin can’t find it. The puck’s up in the air. It bounces off of Meyers. Now it’s sitting right between his legs and before Meyers or Besser or Kevin Lankin and for that matter can find the puck off the post. It’s Corona keeps the puck in the brush to the middle. Roger. Nice move and then he fanned on his shot able to drag the puck and get around the defender but the puck slid off his stick as he went to shoot it. Here’s Heronic turns to the puck. Loretsky’s been out there a while he’s running out of gas. Hughes has it cutting across the slot. He shoots for Lincoln the save. Okconor scores and then he gets cross check to the front of the net. He’s in a terrific battle here with Dante Fabro. Look at Heronic’s going to try to shoot the puck. There’s no shot. Hughes recognizes this and comes all the way across the ice. He comes from the left point all the way around the top to the right. His shot will get stopped and this is a nice play by Okconor. Nice patience poised to beat Ms. Leakens and he scores. Okconor had a goal disallowed against Chicago. This will not be disallowed as he sticks it up under the bar. Four to start the third. Canucks think it should be four on three. The officials when they appeared for the third period got some pretty hefty booing from Canucks turn to pressure. Patterson turning on the right wing boards. Elias Patterson leaves for Tyler Meyers. Nice move. Meyers backhander stopped. They score the rebound. Conor Garland. [Music] Tyler Myers is going to come off the bench. Look at the Lander goes for the change and as Person is able to come near the top of the line, Meyers has all this momentum. He’s going straight downhill. He walks right around the Blue Jacket defender which is Fantily. The shot is stopped. The rebound Elias Patterson to Heronic out to center. Chipped through by Riel. Mate turned to the puck onto the stick of Severson into the middle. Pilly now thrown across one time and they score. Quick shot there on the pass in front and one timed home by Marenko for his second of the game and his third point to tie the game at three. But again, it’s one of those quick ups from from Columbus. Mach Mateuk starts the play. Fanti finds Marchenko and this puck is delivered off the tee. Veronov, that’s another point for him. This line has been all over it tonight as Fantelli Baron off connect. Marchenko has two goals. He’s got four career hats, including one this season. Here’s a lead pass. It’s Besser who’s in. Brock Besser scores. Brock Besser with just under six minutes remaining and the Conucks are back on top. Watch this play by Besser. This puck is three feet in the air. He knocks it out of the air. Walks in. His shot goes giving chase on Marenko who’s able to steer to the corner and this game comes to an end. Brock Besser meets a winner of Ken L. [Music]

Drew O’Connor led the way on offence with a goal and an assist, and Brock Boeser potted the eventual game-winner late in the third period as the Vancouver Canucks edged the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3.

  1. Canucks played great tonight. I really hope EP25's okay after that dirty hit. EP40 was good defensively also, Myers with that cool move to assist Garland, and Hughes was just electrifying to watch, his skating ability is just next level. Hopefully the Canucks prepare themselves for tommorrow night against the Avs, that team is deadly.

  2. O’Connor, Lankinen, Hronek, Raty, EP40 (defensive side of the game), Debrusk , Kane, Garland and Hughes were excellent. Hughes’ skating is just a masterpiece. Dude was playing street ball out there. That’s the Hughes we know…whole team was good, but many played their best game tonight

  3. How ironic that tonight's hockey game was dedicated to Fighting Cancer and the Canucks played like they were fighting cancer. And ultimately they won after a brutal fight to the finish with so much action on the ice. As a Canucks fan, this night gave us multiple emotional reactions. The win over the Blue Jackets was like a sign of relief.

  4. I hate the Canucks they are either going to barely make the playoffs, or barely miss the playoffs. Another wasted year I would rather them tank and get draft a top prospect. It works look at Anaheim.

  5. Was that Drew O'Connor "stick handling in a phone booth"?
    Pretty slick
Reichel has been playing great since he arrived. He will start producing soon

  6. Canucks and Ducks win while the coilers get blown out and flushed. Beautiful, can't get any better than that. Kane missing both those chances too was insane, lol.

  7. Не смотря на проигрыш, лучшие на льду сегодня были Марченко и Воронков.
Вдвоём они разорвали оборону Ванкувера и заработали на двоих 6 очков, отдав друг другу голевые пасы.

  8. Boeser knockin that pass outta the air : get the fu$% outta here! ❤
What a nutty start to the year seeing both the Hawks and Sharks currently in the middle of their respective divisions. And those Ducks? Yikes! This isn't the EP40 Revenge Tour, it's the Quennville Revenge Tour.

  9. I was at the game tonight and the boos and ref you suck chants were the loudest I have heard them in a good while glad we won though despite the zebras being absolute shite
