Uh we got two games to recap for you guys today. The loss in Anaheim, which we’ll lead off with. Try to do this a little chronologically, but there’s always a little bit of bleed over. Uh and then we’ll talk about the shootout win that happened last night against the San Jose Sharks uh to finish out the episode. But before we get to any of that, I got to let you guys know today’s episode is brought to you by Game Time. The Red Wings lose in Anaheim on Friday, the second half of a back-toback was that game in Anaheim. They lose 5 to2. I think a lot of Red Wings fans looked at Anaheim thought that was kind of going to be one of those games you marked down as a W in your calendar, but it did not go that way for Detroit. Uh what what do you think is the difference maker in that loss? Yeah, so honestly I think there’s a few different ways you can go here. Um the I literally asked you right before we hit record if you wanted to do a weekend difference maker or a game to game and you said game to game and now I’m going to give you a weekend. So, tough tough luck for you. Um, all right. I just ignore all of Brian’s uh asks and desires and just do what I want. Um, no. I I mean I I think that this is a situation where in both of these games, maybe not as dramatically even in the San Jose game, but the one thing that the Wings had over the Ducks, and honestly ended up being like not by a ton, but the Ducks had so many penalties, dude. And that’s something that has followed that team around since last year. They were, I think, the most penalized team in the NHL a season ago. And this season, they’ve gotten off to a very similar start. And in this game, I think the Wings had seven total power play opportunities throughout this game. Like I it’s and they converted on one. So, uh, to me, the difference maker for the weekend is the power play that did not score any goals against San Jose and went one for seven against Anaheim. that is not a very good weekend. And obviously Patrick Kane being out is a big reason for that. We’ve talked about that a lot. Um, but when looking back at these games, like the one area that you could have made up ground in, even with a poor performance, and and there’s plenty of other factors as well in both of these games that we will talk about, but for me, like the the one thing that you hung your hat on a year ago to dig you out of holes and to kind of cover up your mistakes was success on the power play and it being so dynamic. And this weekend against a Ducks team that doesn’t have a good penalty kill and a Sharks team that quite literally has one of the two or three worst penalty kills in the entire NHL this year. They did next to nothing. The Sharks especially, they completely I I mean like they didn’t even have good opportunities like you know what I mean? Like this was a power play that kind of looked lost out there to be honest with you. Especially the first power play of the night in the first period. So, um, very winded. I’ll end my spiel now, but I I think that that is an op that was a way in both games really to make up ground and to get themselves back in a game or just to take the lead and not have to go to overtime against the Sharks. And in both games, they they just were not successful in that area. So, I agree with you about the result. Obviously, one for nine on a weekend is not good enough in games where you need to, you know, you want to win, right, on a road trip, especially, but I disagree with you about the process. Obviously, losing Kane is this the the IQ, the puck movement is huge, but the power play has had a ton of great chances even without that. And I think this is to me personally, this is more about their lack of ability to finish than it is about like puck movement or like I’m not saying it looks terrible. I’m not I didn’t mean to like imply that like the power plays broken or like something needs to change or anything. I I it was so good last year even without Kane. And eventually, you know, assuming it’s not a Buzzi situation, Kane will return and and you’ll have that like I I I have no long-term qualms with it. I just think that in this weekend against two bad teams um again one for nine is is just a big reason why you found yourself kind of looking the way you did. Yeah, they had so many great opportunities. I mean I’m looking back at my notes. There was a a great Larkin chance on the first power play. Uh on the second power play, they had four shots on that and Finny just barely missed a goal cuz he fanned on a puck that was kind of bouncing a little bit. Um, then you had the they won the goal, the one goal that was scored, the de brinket, the nice like he pulled it between his legs and put it out front. Finny had another stellar chance. Cop had a stellar chance. Oh, and that was another thing in the second game against the Sharks. Cop again whiffed on another opportunity. Guy has negative finishing skill, great defensive center, but when you put the puck near his stick, it’s just goes anywhere but towards the net. Um, it’s it’s not from lack of effort. Their their power play looks good. they’re just not finding the back of the net. And so like for me it’s it feels like it’s kind of a matter of time thing and obviously getting Kane back when he comes back is going to be a huge help. But I so like I said I agree with you about the result one for nine that needs to be better but I think that they’re the process looks really good and it doesn’t need to be shaken up right now. Not that you were implying that but just based on my observation my difference maker on that Ducks game is the goal that was disallowed. uh that Morett Cider was supposed to be his first goal of the season. They called that one back on a kicking motion and I don’t believe and many fans on social media, not that fans opinions matter to the league, but that wasn’t a kicking motion. And I tend to agree with that because if you watch the play, Cider does turn his foot to try to redirect this this puck to his stick. obviously whiffs on the the play and so it goes off his skate and in, but turning your foot to redirect it is not the same as kicking it. And we’ve seen that play get called a good goal time and time again. There has to be a distinct kicking motion. And it’s one of those situations like we were just talking about in the LA game before, right? Sometimes when it’s close, whatever the original call is should stand. For sure. The original call in this one was a good goal and then it was reviewed and nobody saw distinct kicking motion and they still called it back for distinct kicking motion and that was a huge moment because that would have tied the game two to2 in a game where the Red Wings played sloppy and part of it is I let it off right I was talking about how most fans see the Anaheim Ducks on the schedule they think it’s a W. But when you look at the circumstances surrounding that game it actually feels more like a scheduled loss in hindsight. you know, second half of a backto-back on a West Coast road trip against a Ducks team that’s starting to find their groove and play a little bit hot. Good Ducks team by the way. Like they’re going to be good in the next few years. They have a lot of youth and a lot of speed. So when they didn’t get that game tying goal and then what a minute and a half, two minutes later, was it Mason McTavish comes down the ice and makes it three to one because Coner and ASP collide. Mason Mcavish Conference and ASP collide in the defensive zone and Mason Mcavish just has all day to pick his corner. So that was a huge swing and that really sealed the game event. I mean I it was the game-winning goal because the Wings only scored two goals in this one. So to me that’s the difference maker. Yeah. No, and I think that’s totally fair. The I think it’s very fair for that game. uh that swing of momentum potentially is a is a twogoal swing. Now maybe the McTavish thing happens anyways, but like that however long that was minute two minute stretch, I mean certainly felt like a a double-edged sword there. You uh you not only have the goal taken off, you then give up a goal on the other end. So um yeah, that was kind of the beginning of the end. I don’t disagree with you at all. And yeah, I mean I it’s weird because I don’t think that they were that was just like a gross hockey game. I I don’t think that was like their worst game of the season or or that they, you know, got like heavily outplayed by an inferior opponent. Like that was just a gross sloppy game. Again, there was a billion penalties on both 12 total penalties for both teams combined. Like just or 12 total uh power play opportunities. Yeah. Yeah, total penalties. Crazy. So, like just um Yeah, I I I think ultimately you just put that one behind you. You forget about it. They rebounded with a nice win. Well, maybe not a nice win, but maybe should have been a little bit um shouldn’t have gone to a shootout, but uh in a perfect world, but you rebound with a victory on Sunday and uh you get a day off and then head to Vegas. Yeah, a little bit of a it was an ugly game, but second half of a back toback, it can be kind of predicted as well. Scotty, let’s head to a quick break. When we return, we’ll talk about other moments from this hockey game because there are a couple of one and you’re just like, “Oh my goodness, this team uh before we move on to the San Jose victory. Segment two lockedown red wings podcast. Okay, Scotty. About one minute into the game, James Van Remdikeke had a absolutely stellar opportunity to give the Red Wings an early one- nothing lead with an open wide openen net on a beautiful play. Was it Soderblum who fed JVR there? Yeah, Soderblum fed JV JVR wide open and at point blank range sent it off the skate of Jacob Trouba. kind of setting the tone for how that game was going to go for the Detroit Red Wings in terms of just the absolute chaos and sloppiness that it was for both teams. This was a sloppy game by the Red Wings, but the Anaheim Ducks didn’t play a great game either. I think Anaheim definitely had better legs and their youth and their speed definitely helped with that, but I mean it was a turnover bonanza in that game against Anaheim. It’s the word that came to mind. I don’t I like it. No, I I feel like we I don’t know if we’ve ever used the word bonanza. I really I like it. We should add that into the the rolodex here. Um, yeah, man. I like I said, I mean, this this was before the break. This was just an ugly hockey game from both sides. I do think that that was a little bit of a tone setter. And then obviously we mentioned the difference maker already. Um, you I mean you you hope that not you hope you I would have preferred if Gibson had like a great game like you know back to Anaheim like whatever. He straight up played poor in my opinion. I I agree with you. I don’t think he played very well. Um yeah, and not that again, not that the team in front of him was exactly setting the world on fire and and putting him in the best situations and, you know, giving him the best opportunities to do well. But at the same time, I feel like there was a a few of those goals in that game that um were were probably obtainable to an extent. So yeah, I mean, I don’t know. Like I said, you you put it behind you. It’s a lot easier to give these recaps for frustrating games after they’ve already won since I like, oh, you just put it behind you and get a win. Oh, look, and they did that. Like it that’s it’s a lot easier from from our perspective to talk about a loss when they’ve already rebounded. But um yeah, I I I think that’s really you just throw it in the trash and it was just a gross game for both sides and and you just don’t you assume that that’s not the norm. Well, and adding to the sloppiness, too, is that back toback games, the Red Wings gave up a short-handed goal, too, where again it was a sloppy game. There’s so many moments in this game where you go, what is happening right now? ASP doesn’t turn the puck over at the blue line, but he pinches at the blue line and ends up springing uh Troy Terry going back the other way. And this is and he buries it on the breakaway. And then the other big moment from this hockey game came in the third period and when they awarded Chris Chris Krider a power play goal 55 seconds into the third period that made it 4-2 at the time and kind of felt like a dagger as the Red Wings, you know, scored late in the third and make it three to two. you feel good going into the third for a third period push. Uh, a lot of people on social media I agree with Max Boltman. I watched the replay. I think Gibson intentionally knocked the puck off the morning moorings and that puck was going in. I think it was a good goal. I think the refs made the right call in that instance. If you watch the replay, people because people are arguing, it popped up and off the net, off the crease, off the irons while he was making the initial save. But if you watch, it doesn’t come off the like those rubber tubes that are in until he pushes it with his arm. You can physically watch him take his elbow and push it off. I think that was the right call. I think that goal was the right call, but it just kind of again added to the chaos that was that game. I mean, the JVR blocked shot, the short-handed goal, the disallowed goal, and then the allow the the what what do they call it? Awarded goal. You don’t see that every day. A lot of things that even individually you don’t see every game. Nonetheless, all at once. Yeah. Just absolutely like that’s the thing. We were talking about it before we we started recording like this game. I don’t really have individual players I want to talk about. It was moments in this game that just stood out as you don’t see that very often. And it seemed like every one of those things was happening in this game, right? And and none of them went your way, right? And that’s something that again you you presume isn’t going to happen over 82. So, um I I think that’s part of the mindset there, too, is you didn’t get, you know, heavily outplayed. You you didn’t look way worse than your opponent. It’s just kind of a situation where there’s a lot of craziness and none of the craziness went your way this time and and that’s why you end up losing by three goals. though. Well, and I’d argue that craziness didn’t really go your way in the game against San Jose either, but thankfully uh you were able to sneak out with a 3 to2 shootout victory in San Jose on Sunday. Scotty, why don’t you give the people your differencemaker for that 3 to2 shootout victory? Yeah. Well, like I said, I mean, my I kind of Oh, that’s right. I’m sorry. Oh, no, no, no. But I mean, it’s again, I I I think that that’s a situation where not as dramatic in this game to be, you know, frank and and honest because you only had the two opportunities in this game, but it’s another one where if you if you just get one power play goal against one of the worst penalty kills in the NHL, then you don’t have to go to overtime and then a shootout against one of the worst teams in the NHL. So I I think that that still kind of carries over. I don’t want to steal yours. So So if if you are going to go the direction we were going to go, then you just do it and I’ll stick with mine. But um yeah, honestly, my my my other thought for difference maker in this game is not a Redwing. So yeah, it’s Alex Nulkovich. I mean, he played out of his mind in this hockey game and in my opinion is the reason it went to the shootout at all because he made some clutch saves, especially down the stretch in overtime and in the third period. Uh he robbed after the Red Wings made it two to one. He absolutely robbed Larkin when Larkin made a move around the defender was in tight just glove save on the backhand and then he made a sequence of saves on Alex de Brinket including a breakaway save in overtime to force it to the shootout and you know that’s just at the end of the game he made several great opportun great saves. There was a threeon-one the Red Wings had in the second period at which Larkin had the puck decided to shoot. Robbed Larkin on that one. Alex Nadulkovich played out of his mind. He made uh what 31 29 saves and 31 shots against for a 9-35 save percentage. He was great in this hockey game. Mhm. Yeah. 100%. I I I’m right there with you, man. I genuinely This is a game where I think the Wings were just the better team on the ice. And I know that it’s it’s kind of frustrating. you go to overtime, you have to win in a shootout. You you risked a point there at the end against one of the the the bottom teams in the NHL, but ultimately, you know, good goalending kind of trumps all and and can kind of be the the ultimate trump card in in a hockey game at any given night. You just if if you got a crazy good goalender that’s locked in, then it’s that’s hard to beat. And I I feel like that’s what this game was. The Ducks game, it’s fair to poke holes in. There’s a lot of stuff that could have been better. And even in like the Sharks game that the finishing again is still a problem. They had several opportunities around the net. We already mentioned the power play. We already mentioned Andrew Cop. Like there’s they had opportunities uh to make this not an overtime game. I’m not saying it was a perfect flawless performance, but I think you know the the deserve to win omter if you will uh certainly was would have been heavily in the Red Wings favor. And I think that uh this was a game which you know Ned was was was prime Ned if you will and uh and kept the Sharks in it and that’s why we find ourselves here. So I’m just again I’m I’m pleased to walk out of here with two points. You you get uh you now have a winning road trip like you said at the beginning regardless of what happens in Vegas. You split the weekend, which isn’t, you know, perfect, but it’s certainly not a terrible outcome either. Um, it it could have been better. It wasn’t the prettiest thing in the world, but the results still aren’t bad. The deserve winnow meter, by the way, Scotty, has Detroit winning 78% of the time, and this game simulated a thousand times. Pretty significant. Yeah. Yeah. So, Scotty, let’s head to another break. When we return, we’ll talk about notable performance from the game against the San Jose Sharks. Stay tuned for segment three of Locked on Red Wings. Segment three, lockdown Red Wings podcast. All right. Notable performers from this hockey game. Uh, I’ll lead it off here. Actually, I I want to talk about EMTT Finny because EMTT Finny had about I don’t know if I were to estimate, you know, rough guess about one trillion chances to score in this hockey game. just getting to the net and firing it and either Nadelovic making a great save or getting deflected. But Finny was he was a hound around the net all game long. And I know he’s kind of cooled off a little bit in uh the points category since he had that what four or five game point streak. But he came close a lot of times in this game. And while he was kept off the stat sheet, you just got to know that if he keeps being a hound around the net, he will eventually break through and keep scoring goals. Yeah. Yeah, and I think that that’s what they that is why he continues to get opportunities on the top line. Aside from just again, obviously the production being really solid up to this point in the season. It’s the a play style that perfectly blends, I guess, with what that top line needs and and what they want out of somebody on that top line. You have Larkin, you have Raymond, you have point producers, you have, you know, playmakers. They need a a gritty, grindy dog up there to uh to get opportunities and be a menace in front of the net and in corners. And that is exactly what he has provided this team this year. And yeah, I think the opportunities are I mean, I have no reason to believe they’re not just going to keep coming to be honest. He himself had an individual expected goals of 62 which led the team. He had five shot attempts in this game. All five were considered scoring chances and four of them came in high danger areas. So when he was getting attempts, he was in the most dangerous spots. It was kind of crazy he didn’t score in this game. So he he’s playing well. He’s going to continue to play well. Ned was great. Nud was unreal in in this hockey game. Mort in this game finally did score his first goal of the season. A a rip. Both both goals that were scored in this game were absolute rips from Raymond and Cider. Raymond had three points on the weekend, a goal and an assist against Anaheim, and then a goal in this game against the uh Sharks as he continues to heat up now that he’s back from injury. He’s starting to get more and more comfortable after in every single game. Made a great move to cut back to the inside and go bar down. And then Cider off the post and in. That was the only way you’re beating bead in these games. But that goal for Cider kind of just capped off what was a really strong weekend. But this game against the Sharks in particular was a great game for Morid Cider defensively. He was he was just immaculate in the defensive zone. The way he can escape pressure in the Dzone and then cover up for his partners, not just partners, but like all the the the mistakes for his forward group as well in the defensive zone is incredible. And it I know we don’t let it go unnoticed, but I know it goes unnoticed by a lot of people in the larger fan base. those little things he does. I Morad was great. I I this guy is so good. This is a game that went to a shootout and the Sharks only finished with 18 shots on net. So, there was three periods and an overtime a full overtime period and the Sharks had fewer than 20 shots on the night uh shots on net on the night. And that is a huge testament to the forward defense, which we’ve seen improved this year, but a a large part to do with the blue line in the defensive zone. We we know that the forwards have uh been a lot more effective in the neutral zone and on the forche and and even playing defense, you know, when there’s a giveaway or or a takeaway in the offensive zone. But the the work that not only I mean Cider was obviously as you mentioned incredible in this game, but we’ve talked about Sherro being much more improved this year. Um Edmonson I I thought had a much improved game in this one. He took a blocked shot. It looks like he might have been hurt there for a little bit. So hopefully that’s just a stinger. But um I I think that yeah, Cider was was really the star of this show. And I think when you look at the opportunities that the Sharks had and how few they were despite how many minutes were played in this game, a large part of that is because Morett Cider was so good. Yeah. And you know, you look at it, we were just talking about who’s hot, who’s cold, right? And Cider offensively was starting the season a little bit cold, but we weren’t concerned because we again know what kind of deployments he gets and we knew the offense would come. just like that. Although we didn’t even mention him in the not category because of all that. He was dominating defensively. So that was what we were we the four the offense is going to come from other players. Meanwhile, he’s going to be in the D zone. He’s going to be a beast. But he’s waking up offensively now, too. Uh four point four game point streak. So it’s great to see that from Cider. Uh I thought the penalty kill was really good in this hockey game, too. Obviously, they allowed one goal against Anaheim, but as a weekend as a whole, I believe they were one for seven. And the penalty kills they had in this game, I think it was just two, they dominated. They were so good on the penalty kill in this game. San Jose, I don’t even know if they had like one legitimate good chance on the power play. So, the PK continues to be a good thing. And I think, did we mention Scotty Pashantire piece? When we talked about the PK the other day, he wrote a really, really good piece. Okay. because they did it in this game too where Dylan Larkin takes a Dzone faceoff, he wins it back behind the net and they send it off the board and just get off the ice. My favorite stat. Yeah, we we definitely did. It might have been in passing but yeah um we we definitely mentioned it. Uh still go check it out because Pashant is very very good at his job and very smart. Um yeah man I mean even like you look at the the you know I don’t want to make it all about faceoffs all the time. Obviously, there’s a lot more than that, but it is something that even joking aside, I do love. And like Larkin again the Sharks goes 15 for 24. That’s over 62%. Uh Marco Casper was over 50% in that game as well. Um one of the Michael Rasm actually was a beast in the faceoff circle against Anaheim. Uh didn’t get as many opportunities against the Sharks. Um so yeah, man. Like I I I just I I think that that is something that has we’ll see how sustainable that is throughout the year. We we’ll see if if I guess I’m trying to say if anybody else on the team can kind of step up in that regard because it it can’t only be Larkin. But I I do think that as a whole that is something that is helping them tremendously. And yeah, as you mentioned, Pashant obviously um highlighted that very very well. Yeah, I mean this is this is a penalty kill that’s that’s much much improved and a lot of it has to do with the way they’re deploying Dylan Larkin in the defensive zone. But, you know, after these two games, I think it’s fair to say that these two teams, Anaheim and San Jose, have evolved. Uh while they’re well, Anaheim’s actually in first place in the Pacific right now. I don’t know if that’ll last the entire season, but these are two teams that I think have evolved from bad tank teams to young, fun, and but inexperienced because you watch these fun bad versus bad bad, right? Fun, bad versus bad, bad. They’re fun, bad now. And while Detroit was definitely the better team in I think pretty much every facet against San Jose and they were playing dog tired against Anaheim, they they had some players that just looked so good on both rosters. And Celbrini looks like he’s going to be a legitimate star for San Jose. Nice, man. He is nice. So good. The way he the the way he skate he skates very fast, but he’s quick with his hands, too. Yeah, he can pull the puck and release it in an instant. And that’s how he beats goalies so much. They’re talking about on the broadcast from about 25 ft out. He can just rip it. And they showed his uh his winner, I think the night before against Colorado. And then Dickinson got his first career goal, too. Kind of a broken play. I don’t That’s the thing, too, is I thought Talbet had a had a good game against San Jose. I know the save percentage is going to say that he was under 900, but you watch how both those goals occur. I don’t really fault him on either. The second one, Travis Hamick goes down to block a a cross crease pass and it kind of causes chaos and Dickensson’s able to slam it home. And the first goal by Skinner, I mean, Talbot was expecting that puck to go across the crease and Skinner deflects it before it can get there and goes top shelf. So, I think Talbot made some really big saves even in overtime. So, good game from Talbot. Very good. Yeah, agreed. Um, Scotty, any final thoughts? Am I missing anything? I don’t think so, man. No, I mean, you know, you uh you now have to ASP primary assist go to Yeah, I I thought he looked pretty good on the power play, by the way. I love the fact that he just grips and rips, dude. Like I I know that that’s like you want a little bit more of a quarterback maybe in some situations on the power play, but I do appreciate that if he has a window on the blue line, he is letting it fly. and uh that at least gets the puck, you know, in and around the net at worst case. So, um yeah, I I think he he had a pretty solid weekend in that regard. But yeah, no, I I think this is uh this is a you’ll take it weekend. It’s not the prettiest thing in the world. We’re not going to, you know, sing songs about how great it was, but you will take it. And now your attention is focused on uh a very talented Vegas team and you know the last game of a a West Coast road trip which is always um you know hopefully you you show up a little bit there and you can can go back home on a high note. Let’s do it. Scotty, any final thoughts? We ball. We do ball. We’ll be back with a new episode tomorrow previewing the game against the Vegas Golden Knights. Stay tuned for that. Same time, same place. It’s your team every day.
The Red Wings lose in Anaheim, but win in a shootout in San Jose to secure the winning record on the road trip. Lucas Raymond has a 3pt weekend. Alex Nedeljkovic was very good on Sunday, a big reason the Sharks game went to a shootout. #LGRW

First time catching an actual live. Props to our locked on gents
Scott said Ducks are a bad team. 1st in their division.
Uh,, anaheim is not a bad team though.. didnt they beat NJ last night and are 1st in their division? If there was a loss on this road trip i wasnt gonna be mad at it was the ducks especially on a back to back. add in the wacky af calls, not too mad at that loss.
You guys need to get to the point. Too much imprecise talk i.e I think” ”, Maybe” let me hear your opinions and go deeper. The difference maker section must be shorter.
7:50 …scheduled loss. Scotty hates that talk 😂
It feels like Scott doesn't take any notes to work off of
Fuck those officials
Rasmussen still looks like he don’t want to hit anyone while wiffing on one timers like usual. Seider is the only one hitting out there. This team isn’t set up for the grind in the spring.
That 4th line sucks. Rasmussen and Elmer aren't NHL players I'm sorry. Call up Danielson, Lombardi or Shine. Ras and Elmer are no way part of the future of this franchise.
BTW, the Ducks are not a bad team anymore. They have great young players, they are big, fast and strong.
Lol rolodex…how about lexicon 😂
It's also time to bring JBD back in the lineup. Hamonic did a nice job for a few games but he cannot last for very long at his age and with all his limitations.
Fandual is the worst sponsor. Hate Fandual and no body should ever use them
Never use Fandual or any other gambling app. Unless you want to lose your money!!
Fandual, worst sponsor ever!
Feels like we got a real shot to beat Vegas especially of Eichel is still out. The Wings schedule for this month looks very favorable imo
The ducks loss was my fault. I attended that game and the Red Wings rarely win when I attend.
My bad, I won't attend next time the boys are in town.

No matter sloppy or poor, if Gibson and Talbot can win 2 out of 3, we will be in good shape. We are getting a lot more, percentage wise, shots on goal. Shots on net have a better chance going in.
We still gotta play Vegas at their place
The ducks are 7-3 and just beat the devil's 4-1…… Bad team??? I think you're a bad sports commentator.
Above.500 west coast trip is huge, and no smal task no matter what the west coast teams records are, and they could've won against the ducks. Playoff second round exit this year, conference finals next year.
Sloppy seconds is the new term for back to back games
Of course ANA and SJ have good top talent, tbh eh win lotteries and get top 3 picks. Detroit doesn’t.
This was the first time this year that Seider showed some nastiness in his game. Wish he would play like this more often.
Huge two points.
I dont understand why you 2 keep referring to the ducks as a "bad team". They're above .500 and are loaded with young talent and a solid mix of competent veterans. This isn't 2023 anymore, thats a good hockey team that is probably going to make the playoffs.
The Wings are going to need someone in this lineup to start protecting some of their younger talented players. They are getting pushed around.
Great trip so far. I felt like, despite needing a shootout to win, the wings controlled 90% of that game and Ned just played very well. Ducks game felt like every bounce went against us, and I’m still not sure how Mo’s goal was called distinct kicking motion. Oh well, on to Vegas. Hopefully a strong finish to this trip. LGRW
Scotty! Didn't realize you were locked on Red Wings. But I really haven't watched. Looking good my man. 9-4 Let's Go!
wes mcaully should be removed from officiating, he thinks the game is about him
These are the important points that everyone goes crazy about when they are fighting for a playoff position in the spring. At least the team looks competitive and they need to stick it to the Habs for that debacle start of the season.
The reality has caught up with Finnie 0 points in the last 4 games.
YOU GUYS DRIVE ME CRAZY ! CALLING IT A SLOPY GAME. THESE ARE AVERAGE PLAYERS WHO MAKE MISTAKES. JUST BE HAPPY THAT THEY GOT 3 WINS IN 4 GAMES. NEED MORE POSITIVE THOUGHT !
The Ducks were never gonna be an easy win. I actually “penciled it in” as a loss. Brian do you pay to attention to the NHL? Lol
I believe the west coast travel and schedule did more damage to the team than anythin.
3 games in 4 days with a travel day is a great deal of stress on any team.
kane needs to get back soon it shows he’s missing on this team?! 🤷♂️😖🫤4-1-0 isn’t bad however a huge hole on the powerplay for the redwings!💪😊👍
Glad we won just think there playing slow some grit not a lot we sure could use better offense we’re still giving up leads they gotta do better they got to work on there aiming
Real wings fans knew we were gonna lose to the ducks we beat the hard teams and lose to the easy teams😅 thank God we beat the sharks😅
If the puck goes off the inseam of the foot, it’s gets called back. If it goes off the outside of the skate, the goal stands.
This is usually how it shakes out.
