Broncos Stars React to Dominant Defense, Chiefs Matchup | NFL on Prime
Their team is now 8 and2 and Nick Bonito and Riley Moss join us now on set. Thank you guys so much for being here. How about your fans? What Nick? They’re good. Best of the world. Best of the world. Hey, look. I I I’m sure you guys will will admit this wasn’t the prettiest of victories, but who cares? It is a win. And on the defensive side of the ball, you guys now have 46 total sacks. That is the most sacks through 10 games since the 1989 Vikings. You guys weren’t even born then. Uh how do you feel with this victory? Nick, I’ll start with you. Uh I feel really good. I mean uh obviously it was a really good win. Uh we made the stops that we needed to make all game and um offense just did enough to win the game for us too. So I mean you know I can’t be you know upset with the results. I’m happy we won. Riley. Yeah. You know, we uh we got it done like Nick said and and you know, the motto is kind of hard to kill, right? There’s going to be some bad things that happen, but as long as you keep playing and keep chipping away, you know, uh you know, we’ll get the dub. Nick, you’re closing in on that another double digit sack season. You’re half a sack away. You were harassing Gino all night, but he just kept tossing it away. This defensive line is roaring right now. What’s working so well for y’all? Yeah, man. I think it’s just the selflessness that we all play with, man. And um we’re not afraid to, you know, rush with each other. We practice all week doing it. we meet all week and um the the you know what I’m saying the I feel like the love and just the way we able to just do it all week in practice and it just shows off in the game you know we not surprised by the results. Riley, let me ask you this. I we talk a lot about Shawn Peyton and Bo Nicks and just how good this defense is and I think a name we don’t say enough is Vance Joseph and the job he’s done. Talk to me about Vance and just his leadership for you guys. Yeah, you know, he puts us in the right position. Um you know, we we know our weaknesses. You know, we know what teams um you know, how they see us. Um you know, we’re going to play a lot of single high. We’re going to play a lot of man. We throw some different looks at him. Uh we’ll drop it into some zones when we need to. Um he’s done a great job of balancing um you know kind of that zone um and and man look. So it’s it’s been good. It’s why we’ve seen so much success. Yeah. Nick, what about you with Vance Joseph and even just being here the last few years? Kind of how far you guys have come in the last few years. Uh how incredible has that been? And then even just the scheme and him being able to free you up to get some one-on- ones. Yeah, I mean it it we all kind of look at him crazy during the week with the stuff that he be drawing up, but I mean the way it just, you know, it plays off in the game and the way we able to get sacks, get interceptions, we can’t be mad at the results. So, I mean, he’s a mastermind when it comes to just dialing stuff up and, you know, you like you said, we came a long way from that first year and, you know, we just going to keep building off of it. Riley, so you know, you had these guys, they’re getting all these sacks. How much easier does that make your job going out there and being able to do what you do? You know, it’s it’s nice. um you know, you’re only covering for 3 seconds cuz they’re getting to the you know, getting to the quarterback so fast. So, it makes our job a lot easier in the back end and then there’s a lot more opportunities, you know, for for uh interceptions, you know, like uh Tilman’s tonight, you know, that the the tip pick and um you know, it’s nice having them in in the quarterback’s face. You guys are now six and two in one score games, finding a way to win. How does that translate in the locker room when you guys know that no matter if we’re down, if we’re not playing our best, we’ll still find a way to win? Yeah, I mean shoot, uh, if you look at the last three years, you know, since Sean has come in, we we’ve had a lot of these guys, the same guys in the locker room and, um, we’re used to being in close games and, you know, in prior years, we may have not been able to finish the way we wanted to, but, you know, because we kept the nucleus of the team, man, we were able to add great additions. I mean, it’s no surprise what we’re doing right now. We’re battle tested for sure. Yeah, one and six last year in these same type of games. So Riley, for you when you look at that and being able to just no matter what find a way to win, how does that help you just with the confidence each week? Yeah, you know, it it’s it feels different this year, right? Like we get into these positions um you know, late in the third uh in the fourth quarter and and you know, as a defense, we we’re not really phased. We go out there and we do our job and and in the back of our mind, it’s you know, there’s no way we’re losing this game. It’s it’s there’s no way. And and I think that’s helped us out. Hey, I got one for Riley. I was just in Ankenany, Iowa this offse by the way. Yes, that was Fred Jackson’s football camp. Okay. They’re going to erect a statue of you in Ancheny, I think, at some point. What do you have to say to all those kids at Anki Ankeny Centennial right now looking at you up here? Uh, you know, crazy far away from from uh from Iowa. Keep working. Keep your head down. Um, the sky’s is the limit if you work hard and keep chipping away. Nick, let me ask you something, man. I I kind of mentioned this to you earlier. You talked about this team. Maybe offensively the production wasn’t there tonight, but one thing that has been all year, this offensive line, their ability to protect the quarterback, and it all starts with Garrett BS, my guy. Talk about going against somebody like him every day in practice and how that really helps you both improve your games. Yeah, I mean, you know, since I came in as a rookie, I’ve been going against GB a lot in camp. Um, I’m always trying to go against him to get to go against the best and trying to get myself better. And, um, he’s gotten me so much better throughout the years. And, you know, you see it every Sunday, man. You know, it doesn’t matter who’s on him. You know, he’s going to be able to lock down that left side. And you know, he’s one of the best in the league, if not the best, for sure. Hey, Riley. Riley, Riley. You know, Tony said this earlier, and I tried to explain to him, the long sleeves, you got to tick. It’s part of your routine, but he thinks you can make some kind of statement if you go without the sleeves. I don’t know what statement he thinks you can make, but talk to talk about Pat Certan and what he means and being able to play the way you guys did tonight and to hold this team to seven points without the reigning defensive player of the year and Taleno Huanga and the impact that he had tonight. He got another sack. It’s just fun to watch. Yeah. You know, we’re deep in our room and and and it’s all, you know, it’s because of Pat. We all learn from Pat and try and pick up things off of him, but um Chris Abrams Drain had a great game. He stepped up. Um and then like you said, uh uh Huff had a great game. Brandon Jones, um Jaquin McMillion. Uh so, we got a deep room and and that’s good, especially, you know, you get late in the season, guys get banged up. Um we have trust in all our guys. Nick, uh last question for me. I don’t know if you know this or not. Tony played basketball at Cal. That’s right. He had a brief stint on the Miami Heat. Uh I don’t it’s a practice squad or summer. Uh you think you can take this dude in basketball? Oh, for sure. Don’t matter who in front of me. First steps. Unbelievable. I know that. If you guys played to 21, what would the score be? You know, I’ll give him a little credit. He’d probably get about like 10, 11, 12. Okay. Okay. All right. Respect. I’ll take that. That’s respect. Hey, Dirt Man, I got to ask you a question. All right. Dirt man. Dirt man. I like that. Uh All right. That was Sherm’s first sitdown interview. That was his first feature. How do you do, guys? Y’all got to tell me. It was great. I give it a 10 out of 10. Let’s go. That was good. Appreciate that. I love it. Before we let you guys go, you get a little bit of a mini buy here with this Thursday night game, but then you get the Kansas City Chiefs. This is a team that has won the division the last nine years. You sit at top the AFC West right now. How do you ensure you stay there? Yeah, I mean obviously, you know, if you want to win the West, you know, it goes through Kansas City respectfully, man. I mean, they’ve done a great job over there uh for multiple years now. So, I mean, if we want to win the West, we got to go beat them. So, it’s going to be a good one for sure. All right. We appreciate you guys being here and we will see you again on Christmas. Thank you so much. Thank you guys. I’m Carissa Thompson with Thursday Night Football. Bonitto & Toast?! You couldn't find another guy on D to sit beside Bonitto, so you plugged in our DEI hire?!?
Don’t sugar coat it. This offense sucks. We need to run the ball 30 times play action pass get bo going on roll outs and boot and have him get a rhythm with his legs to set up the pass game. From the pocket pass first is not a Bo strength yet… this Defense is Historically GREAT!
One of the worst 8-2 teams of all times! Special teams suck, a hot and cold quarterback(54 rating for game) that had one good game. Chargers will eat them up in the playoffs!
Charissa Thompson is so beautiful. Damn
Our offense is embarrassing af
bonitto for dpoy
That offense is terrible, the only good thing about it is the running game, and Peyton refuses to feature the run game.
On the bright side our defense is so good that we won a game where our offense was only successful at their attempts to do offense on one drive. Against a terrible defense at that. I wish I was there so they could hear my Booing.
That offense was bad, but they had the ball with the lead and four minutes left. They drained the clock and won the game. I don't remember that happening once last year.
Our trash offense is wasting a historic defense
D!!!!!!!
My CB2 #21 MOSS!! 👏🏾🤘🏾🫡🧡💙
Biggest scammers in the league this year.
Stidem time
Haha what a joke I wouldn't be celebrating against the worst team in the league! Bronco's looked like shit couldn't score against an ass team what do you think is gunna happen when they go against the top teams forsure destroyed pathetic performance boo.👎👎👎👎👎
The long sleeve question is wild. The opposing team know he's whites. Its on the scouting report. Lmao
Riley moss is the only guy that has been beat every week.
Defense looking dominant as usual 😢😮💨💯💯💯💯
Broncos fan are so ungrateful 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah it's a concern. They don't look like an NFL offense. But they're still 8-2. Get some rest they've got 10 days before the Chiefs come to town. Win big if you can but win. Looking forward to seeing Denver 9-2 before the bye.
We Win In Every Single Way Possible GO BRONCOS
Bonito 🌯 Burrito!
Moss is way too overhated! Bro ballin out
If you listen when Bonito talks, his voice sounds like Eminem 😮
Our offense is so bad. Ty Defense
They look 👀 like ORANGE CRUSH DEFENSE of OLD
The defense has carried this team the whole season.
Definitely couldn’t have the QB up there 🤣🤣🤣
“Raiders Suck” chants is hilarious
8-2 🎉
Run the football to setup pass. I don't think bo is ready. He want run the ball until the 4th quarter and that's because he is scared to throw it
The Mile high Monsters ❤. Go Broncos ❤.
No one cares losers.Turn the cap around losers or dont wear it at all.
This is how you know bo nix is trash when the defence is on TV for your bum ass play
Most battle tested team in the NFL LFG
If their offense gets 1% better, watch tf out. They have a good defense and they're winning.
Hopefully they stay with the broncos for a long time. Or until they get a chip!
Alot of people are gonna trash the offense, rightfully so, but this team is 8-2 with the offense not clicking….imagine if they were!
This Broncos Defense is tough! Just wait until they get PS2 back!
Bonitto needs to be in talks for DPOTY ❤❤
Bonitto has so much good bend and speed off the edge. Keep it up Nik! We need that sake tenacity next week. Heal up, rest, study, and stay hungry.
The offense needs to get their momentum going now! Give the defense a break we need full complimentary football all 3 phases
PS2 needs to heal and return for the Commanders game
Pretty sad when the highlighted players are the defense. Much earned but sad.
