The most valuable position player on every team this season by fWAR

  1. Boston had a pretty good team but Jesus, I had no idea 3.9 was the best we could muster from that line up.

  2. Might be fun to see this for fifth-most or something like. See how deep some are and how quickly others fall off.

  3. Sometimes being low on a lost like this is good as its not always good to have all your eggs in one basket esp come playoffs when they can just walk you every time.

I’d like to see avg of Top 5? players to see if that changes the order much.

  4. Spencer Horowitz lol. Isn’t 2 WAR the general benchmark for a solid regular lineup guy? So no one even achieved that.

  5. This includes Shohei’s pitching WAR, right? Can’t imagine he was ahead of Cal just at the plate.

  6. Montgomery didn’t get called up until July, and he still led the White Sox. That is so embarrassing for them.

  7. Wild that Spencer is there with how many games he missed. God we suck and Ben is so out of his depth.

  8. Can you do this same graphic but with all their $AAV next to their names as well?

    Would be interesting to see

  9. The Guards could, realistically, have an infield worth 17.2 war. Instead, our whole team barely managed to break nine and our entire team outside our two stars was worth -.2.

    Brilliant front office indeed.

  10. It’s Zach Neto over trout for the angels?? I guess have never looked into it but I am shocked

  11. Fun fact: Colson Montgomery played less than half a season for the Chicago White Sox this year.

  12. Adames had quite the turnaround after being unplayable for the first two months

  13. This kind of explains why we shouldn’t put that much emphasis on a particular statistic. Or a single player.
