Miami Heat Take Out Trail Blazers! | Nikola Jović w/ Monster Night vs Portland! | 4-0 Start At Home
You know, faith is not for those who need evidence at hand at all times. Okay? Faith is for those who truly truly believe. And I know everybody here tuning in was coming at me saying, “To, what did you do this whole year? You know, you you spent this summer watching Euro Basket. You you you sold us a bill of goods. What are you doing here, dude? I’m tired of listening to you. You charlatan bum. And to those I only have two words for you. Yo, Dude, Miami Heat beat the Portland Trailblazers. One of the NBA’s finest teams this season. Has been making some noise. Unbelievably this Joe Cronin Rod Bastard. Unbelievably taking out the top teams in the West. They’ve beaten the Thunder. But hot tonight, dude. Even with the extra rest, even getting to stay down here in South Florida, kicking up their feet while the Heat were beating the Hornets yesterday. The Miami Heat get themselves a 136 131 win tonight. They start 4-0 at home. Eric Reed revealed this after the broadcast. Only the third time that’s happened the other previous years. One was the title year in ‘ 06. The other was the 2020 finals run. So maybe a good omen for the Miami Heat. Again, a night tonight. No Bam Adabio, no Tyler Herro. You had Norman Powell, Haime Hakez, both playing on bum ankles. And you needed somebody to step up with those two. Those two were good. They’re good. They were good. But you needed some scoring punch tonight. And you got just an absolute sensational performance by the Serbian Terminator Nicola Yovic with 29 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and a big ass block in the fourth quarter. What a performance by Nico Yovic. And these Miami Heat, these high-flying, highscoring, thrilling Miami Heat, what an absolute treat they’ve been to watch this season. And this one was just an excellent game back and forth. Miami Heat got down early in this one. They had to claw their way back. They had an absolute dynamite second quarter to get a little bit of control on this game. Then you start feeling like, maybe you got this game in control. They get it up to a dozen lead there in the third quarter and then all of a sudden the Portland Trailblazers with their head coach Thiago Splitter. Of course, this is the other team in the league right now dealing with the gambling scandal that has rocked the NBA, but most uh directly the Miami Heat and this team losing Chanty Bips. But the thing is is this Thiago Splitther, he may be a really good coach because he’s got them playing some great basketball. So, they start turning the Miami Heat over left and right, and you’re just like, sheesh, this is uh this is this is something. This is going to be a heck of a battle here between these two squads. Um, and man, you get to that fourth quarter, starting to worry, you only have a three-point lead. Drew Smith has a turnover. Shaden Sharp gets Portland the lead and you’re just like, “All right, let’s uh let’s see what we got here, dude. Time to uh to to go out here and make some things happen.” And when you needed a bucket tonight and you need to turn somebody, Nico was there, man. Gets the bucket and the foul to tie things up. Blowing right through Denny Aia today, who was absolutely sensational. Continues his really good year for the Portland Trailblazers. Tied things up at 103 apiece. And then I mean dude, this was something. There was a uh there was a little bobble. Heat were uh were playing some good. They were hounding Drew Holiday in the paint. Loose ball. Shane Sharp comes out of nowhere scores and it was a uh scores and it goes up 106 I think 104 Portland. And Nico’s just like, “Nah, dude. How about this? Stop. Pop hits a big time three to put Miami back up 107 to 106. But it was just he was he was just he had that three ball going today. He would get another one right after that. He was keeping possessions open. He was keeping possessions going. He did another one to put the heat up 1106. You’re just like, “All right, here we go, dude.” And this was one of those where you were just like, we were going tit for tat in this game. Jeremy Grant would come back. He would get a bucket to uh to to to bring things in. Drew Smith would find his way to the line. Clutch free throws for him. But Abdia would tie things up at 112 a piece. And then Nico, who was playing so sensational, just kind of falls over. He has a six turnover leads to a Murray bucket, I believe. And it was 114 112 Portland leads. And you’re just like, I mean, this this is crazy. Both teams had 25 points off of turnovers at that point. So, you’re coming into this, come out with a lineup of Powell, Pella, Hakez, Mitchell, and Nico. Mitchell gets the steal. Um, and he’s able to uh to find it to Norman Pal, but it rims right out. Hela Larson then takes an elbow right in the chops from Denny Aia gets the ball back to the Heat and DaVon Mitchell right to the rim is able to tie things up at 114 apiece and then Nico gets the uh the bucket through contact puts Miami up 116 114 Powell just finds him on the uh the twoon one then gets a little dicey there because Miami frantic. There’s a lot of possessions are going all over the place. Just still trouble like closing these possessions with the rebound. Nico gets really pissed. He throws the ball. He gets teed up. And so Jeremy Grant gets the technical foul and then on top of it, he gets more free throws to go out there and he’s able to uh and he’s able to get all three to drop. So Portland’s back on top. 117 116. Five minutes left in this game and I mean yeah you’re just like you don’t want this this great game being especially from Nico going by the wayside. Norman Powell who was playing through injury today mind you again these guys off a backto back. You’re wondering you’re starting wonder five minutes left. You got it in them. Do they got that in them to pull this thing out? And dude he throws up this thing today and it was like Boop boop boop boop boop pinball style drops in gets the foul gives you the little wiggle. Pella Lararsson is fired up. Miami able to get back out on top by 119 117. Obia would come back and tie it knowing Pal would then come back and get the Heat the lead. And then DaVon Mitchell just like the dog he is stands right in there draws the foul on Jeremy Grant. against Jeremy Grant. Kicked out of the game. Big- time play by DaVon Mitchell. But then he’d have another one where he’s inbounding the ball. Beautiful play finding Pella Larson for the cut. Puts Miami up. Getting a little bit of breathing room now. 123 to 119. Um Drew Holiday, he would get fouled by Nico. That would be Nico’s fifth, but he misses one of the free throws. So the Heats up three. Wiggins would come into the game and Hakez who, you know, has been so sensational, so good. He just had a little bit of a a um a rut here in the like all these layups that he could get to drop. Couldn’t get anything to drop in the second half. He has one that would have given Miami’s lead a little bit of extension. He misses it. Drew Holiday comes back the other way, ties it at 123 apiece. this game was going bananas and nutty, dude. Really crazy back and forth both ways. Um, they put Donovan clinging in and they don’t have wear in, you know, they’re playing Nico. They’re closer with Nico. They got their guys in. So, you got this big moose in there and he was pretty posited him limited minutes, but he was pretty positive in all the minutes that he was in there. Um, and you know, gets them the lead. And then Nico, the play that was just like needed to get that momentum back on Miami side. He gets a nice little bounce pass. Beautiful setup as he finds Haime Hakez Jr. cutting to the bucket. Gets the bucket. Gets the foul. Miami with a two and a half minutes left in this game. Back out on top 127 to 125. You’re like these these two teams just going blow forblow. This game was absolutely crazy crazy game dude. Unbelievable. Clinging would tie things up at 127 apiece. Then Norman Powell draws the foul on a he goes up. Nico gets the switch on to Drew Holiday from right behind with a Serbian swat. Gets Miami back. The ball leads to an Andrew Wiggins wide open three. Miami up by five. Wiggins first bucket of the second half was a huge one. And then he steals it from uh from Denny Obia. Would have led to a bucket. It’s no good. And then Nico with about a minute left takes the rock and he puts up an absolute eat check. Gets nothing. Nothing left. So, Portland setting themselves up. They go and Avdia taking a three. Looked like a bad shot and and and DaVon Mitchell was in the vicinity of him and he they call the foul on DaVon Mitchell. Well, the Heat haven’t challenged yet. And Spo just like thinks to himself. He looks and then he’s just like, “No, no.” Waving the flag. like helicopter style is giving the review and he’s just he is beside himself pissed off. Classic classic Eric Spolstra. What a freaking legend. By the way, he got it right. Challenge successful marginal contact by the by the Miami Heat point guard DaVon Mitchell on Avdia. So the uh the Blazers, they keep possession but no points. Miami gets to keep their uh their they gets to keep their um they get to keep their ch they obviously get to keep their challenge keep their timeout and they keep their five-point lead biggest of all. Drew Holiday gets set up. He has a good look at a three goes in and out. Nolan Powell rebounds it and DaVon Mitchell would go to the line. He hit some clutch free throws and that would be all she wrote. Man, it was it was an absolute thrilling performance by Miami today and a lot of guys could I mean just again like I just continue to go by this just a lot of guys contributing. Miami gets off to a really slow start in this game. Um and the bench unit just picks them up right away. Like Haime had those second half struggles up until that last bucket where Nico found him. But I mean, Haimeme Hawkins was awesome to be the catalyst there to cuz Miami gets off to this rocky start. Like, uh, it was the opposite of what went down yesterday. And yeah, he’s just getting easy buckets and feeling it. But the the first half, dude, I got to give a shout out to Drew Smith. Drew Smith, what a demon. All right. And and I’m and I’m I I’m really, you know, I I I I am really upset by by Frog Boy and his slander on this this this this gracious, tenacious, unbelievable point guard for the Miami Heat. A dog. Because Frog Boy, you should be ashamed of yourself because Drew Smith is an absolute menace. And he finishes today with 13 points. But it’s not just the 13 points, dude. It’s the four steels. It’s just like every game this guy is getting the heat. Three extra possessions in a g in a team that is is giving up a lot of extra possessions. You know, tonight Portland took 12 more shots than Miami. They outrebounded them by nine. Um offensive rebounds 21-2. And this has just become a regular theme even with Miami’s pace. They got to deal with teams putting up more shots than them. And Drew Smith is just along the way to to get stealing of inbounds, being an absolute hound on the defensive end. And he had like a he had this possession where, you know, he gets a bucket, but like he gets the steal to lead to the bucket, then he gets another defensive uh then he gets another steal right off the bat. Like should have led to another bucket for Miami. He’s just doing that constantly. He’s just hounding at all times. So shout out to Drew Smith, man. and and and he’s just been he’s been such a uh he’s been such an absolute animal for the Miami Heat and and to do this he he beats science, you know, he comes back off the Achilles tear after having the ACL the year before. Um and in the second quarter, same thing, just like hitting strong runners, confident weaving in and getting to the rim. He’s confident taking the three ball. Um, and you know, his steals are just like leading to to positive things at all times for Miami. And so I just thought it needed to be mentioned. He is uh he’s just he’s he’s nasty, dude. He’s been playing so great for the Miami Heat. And you love that from him. Um, and then the other one that I got to mention is I think it’ll probably go unnoticed in this game, but Kel Wear finishes today um with nine points, 12 rebounds, three blocks, and a steel. But there was a big moment in this game where, you know, Kell, it was going Portland’s way. Tammani Kamara puts Portland up with a three ball and spoke calls timeout with about seven minutes left and Klingan was getting the better of wear and I don’t know what clicked you know it was one of them positive Kellw wear bursts but in that third quarter he’s just gobbling up rebound after rebound he’s going after it he’s getting loose balls he’s getting second possessions and Haime Hakez put up a three and Kell kept the possession going and then Hakis found him for a sick alleyoop that had Miami on a 120 run put him up 11 at the time and these games I mean these games was this game was crazy just like big swing after big swing it was uh it was crazy man um but I I loved it I love the way this team is playing I love the way they’re uniting and obviously I love getting a monster game from Nico the way that we did you know we got the kind words this week from the uh the multipletime MVP the Joker Nicola Joic and you know Nico I thought today was interesting like he had the ball in his hands a lot and there were some you know some some tough passes that he had he obviously had a lot of turnovers he’s uh you know trying those whip passes and some guys weren’t ready for him some of them were off the mark but it was his aggression dude his aggression the confidence I mean the the the Serbian steps that he had the runners the aggression the physicality he’s playing with. And then he had the confidence with the three ball to just stop and pop and let it go. You could just see it. It it it it flowing through Nico today. The confidence was there. It was needed. It was beautiful. And what le let’s see if the Bums talk about it, right? You know, the Bums probably won’t talk about it, but this Miami Heat team now six and four. They just beat everybody’s little darling in the Portland Trailblazers. They got a big-time setup come here on Monday with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Couple games there. Then they got the Knicks and Miami has been playing absolutely beautifully on a day where we get the announcement that Vice Knights are back. Just absolutely sensational, dude. What a what a night. Did you see that night? But did anybody see that uh that national anthem, by the way, by the kid, the seven-year-old on the piano? Holy crap. I mean, we got like our next version of Julia Dale. This kid is incredible. Mark that kid. bring him back for the playoffs. That was in that that was that was breathtakingly talented from that kid. Unbelievable. Unfreakingbelievable by the Heat. Unbelievable by Yovic, dude. Man, I am happy. This this this is a delight. You know, you gotta we we got we got vibes are high right now for this Miami Heat team, but it really does feel like on a different night, you’re getting every all these I mean Norman I can’t believe the Miami Heat got Norman Powell for nothing. Like can you believe this? Like what you want to talk about like just just all the things that have kind of gone wrong for the Heat Snake, but you see Damen Lillard there on the bench today. of course he was going to make the trip to Miami and the scandals and the Jimmy Ber thing and finally it’s like but the Norman Powell thing went the Heat’s way and and he’s just he’s so he was like he was gassing up Nico after the game with Will Man so it just made me this guy what a gem what a gem he finishes today uh 22 points for Norman Powell seven of eight from the free throw line he just have so many relentless less guys. It’s It’s really great between and Pella Pella had this, you know, Pella is just super efficient tonight. Big time jam from him. Nice find from Haime Hakez Jr. and things are flowing right now, man. Haime today, even in a game where he struggled in the second half in the field, 14 points, 12 rebounds off the bench. Like, look at these performances off the bench, dude. I was not having fun with this team. Are you kidding me? What a squad.
Tobin recaps the Miami Heat 136 to 131 win over the Trail Blazers. Nikola Jović with a monster night and best game of the season. Norman Powell clutch in the 4th quarter. Davion Mitchell tough defense, Dru Smith big time first half and Kel’el Ware’s strong response get Miami a 4-0 start at home against one of the NBA’s surprise teams.

NIKOOO!!!!!! 💯🔥💪🇷🇸
JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVIC, DUDE!!!! KABOOM!
Waterboy dude why are you still upset with Joe Ron even when you push to be treated
Can the heat send keshad johnson back to the g-league and get a player that can contribute more? Or am I wrong pelle larsson is way better than keshad to think that they are at the same draft class second round right?
JoooOoOovic duuuude!
Good win!….. any update on Tyler herro?
Tobin had faith…Greetings from Serbia, even Joker needed time with Nuggets to get good…Heat is best place for player development…Jovic needs more time, Flag in Dallas is struggling as a number one pick and people are going crazy…NBA is not an easy job especially for a young man with all that money…
First of all , why are you guys getting so excited over Jovic he had one good game so far.And that's what he gets paid to do so until he does it consistently he still needs to be traded we could have had KD.
Sometimes i think this heat team lets teams score & build their confidence b4 crushing them.. The only time i didn't feel that happened was against the lakers cuz the refs were going crazy with the whistles..
Avdija has Serbian father who was also basketball player, his mother is from Israel. Avdija is cooking!
This team is playing way above all our expectations. I had them playing good ball….but they are playing amazing bal! SPO….coach of the year finally?!!!
spo need to trust him, he's so young and talented, had a thoug start of the season and it feels like he didnt had much chances to prove himself. But tonight, he showed us he just need time and get some rythm, and he will reward us with great performance.
And yeah, he need to work a lot more, today started with a few turnovers and i got scared spo would just put him in the bench for the rest of the night again…
Wow Jovic it’s about time 29 points. 👏🏻
So are the critics still against COACH SPO
using the small ball? Even though he's mastermindingly doing it with PACE….
VLAD GODIN will eventually be in the rotation as needed for some spot mins…
The HEAT 🔥 DEPTH is very good and efficient
WARE will not be a high number rebounder, simply because he's being used like CHRIS BOSH, he's on the outside so that PELLE, POWELL, DAVION, JJJ can drive and kick out to open shooters or they'll finish at the rim for high pct shots… COACH SPO
is a mastermind
Dru Smith appreciation comment 👍
Trade that trash wing Jovic to Denver, pls. He will be starter , 20-25 pts every game
rebounding is still a problem dude but jovic is balling so was triple j
Great game Nikola and it is easy to forgive the 6 turnovers the way you played on offense was sensational. How many rebounds would Ware have gotten if he played 32 minutes last night. Sick and tired of the fans complaining about Ware's rebounding. Bam and Ware rebounding comparision, like Jack Web said on Dragnet, "Just the facts mam." Facts Bam plays 30.4 minutes and gets 8.1 rebounds this season. Ware plays 21.5 minutes. and gets 7.7 rebounds (only less than a half a rebound a game than Bam. Therefore Bam played 243.5 min 68 rebs, Ware 221 min 77 rebs; proof in the pudding
1 good game in 10 played we not getting our money's worth yet😂😂😂
Ware is blocking 4 times the shots per min. as Bam and getting more steals too. So why are we crying that we are lost without Bam in the lineup????? Ware is just getting started and has some bad times on the court, but he is learning and growing. Waew shoots 3.5% better from the field than does Bam, nough said!!! Checkout more comparisons below
We don't need bam, he don't move the needle. Now we more aggressive, more free throws, more drives to the basket and the defense is still good money.
Trade bam.
Retire Pat.
Let's go heat.
Niko back Tobs, we never lost the faith brotha
If Ross cared about winning he would've fire Grier 10 years ago.
HEY HAS OUR SB WINDOW CLOSED??🤣🤣🤣
Tobin I love you dawg but stop calling our players demons. Call them guardian angels or arch angels 😂
Niko still a bum.. he gone be a lil girl lik he always is. Nigga always in his damn feelings. 10 or less next game.. trade niko get some bigs.
Trade Niki while his value is high! He is to inconsistent for me!
Yall should give me my credit for telling yall how it was going to go I said plenty times jovic should come off the bench and help the second unit he would be good for us told yall ware was going to start the regular season yall should give fontecchio his flowers to
Jovic will not do this to often.
Jovic starts every game by blowing a bunch of layups. Same thing happened last night. It's nice he finally got his stuff together.
Deni Avdija is the man!❤
Refs helped heat to win.
JOVIC DUDEEEEE
Ross, worst owner in sports
Good job Jovic, we need better defense and rebounds. We are missing Bam out there.
Hopefully Jovic keeps the consistency!!!!! Keep it up!!!
Finally jovic. Sorry tobin
