  1. Tocchet: Hey JT. You were kind of indifferent on the backcheck there. How about you pick it up a little?

JT: How about I take a three week personal leave?

    Rangers: That’s our captain!

  2. I think whatever occurred between JT and EP is something that is still haunting both of them. Neither has gotten over this so called mental hump. There is no trading the wrong guy or right guy. IF Petey can’t get back to form soon. His contract will be like a noose around the team for years regardless of how JT does.

  3. Guy is 32 years old and has always played a hard-nosed physical game. Time usually catches up with those players before the pure skill guys who can shift the style of their game in the later years. I think we are starting to see his decline.

  4. I think both J.T. Miller and Pettersson have had a tough start to the season. So this isn’t the own you think it is. The J.T. Miller trade feels like both teams lost the trade. Chytil has had 2 concussions since coming to Vancouver, and the Rangers haven’t been able to get on the right track since J.T. Miller went to the Rangers.

  5. Good sell high off his 100 point campaign. We’ll be better in the long run even though the team is currently still mid. Hopefully M Petey can regain form and live up better to 12th overall value from the JT trade and Chytil learns to skate with his head up, as we fleeced them otherwise.

On JT: Beyond locker room issues and slamming sticks and talking shit to Petey, his measurable own performance went from 90th percentile WAR to mid 30s from 2023/2024 to 2024/2025. Looks worse this year as he gets slower. It’s also 3 yr avg data making his fall off even more dramatic.

It makes sense why rangers fans think they’re better off benching him a he actively hurt teams being on the ice, which met our eye tests last year.

This is more important than point totals which are a function of opportunity (powerplay time and his pass to JT or else vibes) and cheating on defence / not back checking. Don’t miss those days and his fall off was highly predictable.

  6. We should have traded both. That would have been the correct thing to do. Two players that cant get their act together to coexist on a team and they are making millions should have been shown the door. I still feel this way.

  7. Maybe we should have traded all of them . Seems like that entire group no matter where they play their teams don’t win.

Islanders ranger Canucks are are struggling with Horvat ,miller, Pettersson.

  8. See a lot of pro Bo posts, but if that trade doesn’t happen, then the game 7 round 2 vs oilers and the whole magical season doesn’t happen.

I like Bo, but we weren’t a good team at all when we had him.

  9. Jt Miller is volatile. He is great on a good team and he goes off the rails on a bad team.

He was great in the 2024 playoffs.
