11/9/2018 Keith Hernandez is inducted into the Rawlings Gold Glove Hall of Fame. His 11 Gold Glove Awards are the most by any first baseman in baseball history.

  1. I grew up watching Keith play every night. He was by far the greatest 1B fielder I’ve ever seen. Cat-like, great body control, and smarter than everyone else on the field. Hard to describe unless you were there just how good he was. The fact he hit really well too was just icing on the cake.

  2. There’s no world where Harold Baines is a HOFer and not Keith Hernandez. Throw John Olerud in there too.

  4. Seems like half them are against the Cardinals lol. I’d be curious to see plays from his Cardinal’s time added to this as well as I could watch this all day

  5. Keith Hernandez was a winner who brought his winning aura into that Mets clubhouse which had known losing for too long. He, along with the presence of Straw and Doc, were the key reasons the 1984 club won 90 games and battled the Cubs for first place until the last weekend of that season. He made amazing plays in the field and came through at the plate so many times.
