I grew up watching Keith play every night. He was by far the greatest 1B fielder I’ve ever seen. Cat-like, great body control, and smarter than everyone else on the field. Hard to describe unless you were there just how good he was. The fact he hit really well too was just icing on the cake.
That was satisfying
Keith’s a Baseball HoFer voters need to cut the shit
There’s no world where Harold Baines is a HOFer and not Keith Hernandez. Throw John Olerud in there too.
The Phils fan cheering in the background of the final play is wild 😂
Revolutionized position – should be a hall of famer but we wall know that situation
I see Kieth, I upvote.
I’d watch ten hours straight of this. This is my happy place.
Nice game pretty boy!
Seems like half them are against the Cardinals lol. I’d be curious to see plays from his Cardinal’s time added to this as well as I could watch this all day
The way he would come in on bunts was amazing.
Have a rookie infielder card with him (on the Cardinals of course), should dig up some of my Mets cards with him on it. Best defensive 1B of all time.
Keith Hernandez was a winner who brought his winning aura into that Mets clubhouse which had known losing for too long. He, along with the presence of Straw and Doc, were the key reasons the 1984 club won 90 games and battled the Cubs for first place until the last weekend of that season. He made amazing plays in the field and came through at the plate so many times.
