🔴 LIVE: Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars | Oct 6th WEEK 5 FULL GAME|MADDEN NFL 26 SIM
Tonight’s the night for football, everybody. The bright lights are on, the stage is set, and the crowd is ready. It’s Monday Night Prime Time on EA Sports. Tonight, a good one here in the AFC between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jaguars. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Set to go is the kicker Harrison Buter. And here we go on Monday Night Prime Time. Fielded at the seven. Good work so far. He’s got room and he gets across the 30 before he’s brought down. So, here are the Jaguars taking over for the first time on offense. They’re brought out by the fifthear man out of Clemson. Hard to believe it’s year five, isn’t it, Brock? Former number one overall pick, Trevor Lawrence. When you have a franchise quarterback, and Trevor is that guy in Jacksonville, you typically don’t slump to bottom five in the draft. But that’s where the Jags have found themselves. And that’s why there’s a new system, a new coach, and really a new lease on life for Trevor in what becomes a very big year in his career. Lawrence gonna throw straight away here. Connection made Travis ETN and he will have this across that 40 yd line before they manage to stop him. It’s a gain of 12 there and that’s a Jaguar first down. Year after year, the best offenses are multiaceted. It’s not just the receivers or the tight ends that can make plays through the air. When you get running backs that can attack the middle of the field like that, man, is it difficult on a defense. Here’s ETN on first down and he’s into the front for a gain of about two. Hey, that’s a run that’s hum on the stat sheet. But if you see a bigger play on the ground later on, largely be because of a play just like that one softening up the front and opening the door for a bigger gap in the future. Need a better result than that last run. It’s second and eight. On play action now. Lawrence hits him downfield. This is Thomas and they’re going to keep moving forward. Brock down inside the opposing 30. 28 yd. They get 28 out of that play. And that’ll be good for a Jacksonville first down. First and 10 at the 28 yd line. You know what I like about that, Kate? I like that they’re not coming out slow. They’re willing to go with some looks here that will yield big yardage down the field instead of just settling for dinking and dunking the ball. A new set of downs, fourthcoming. It’s first and 10. Now a give. It’s ETN headed left. jukes his way into the clear and they take him out of bounds which means his offense setting up for first and goal. Danger danger I say you get this guy in the open field and he is dangerous to take it to the house for another Jacksonville first. They have themselves another first and 10. They motion a receiver left going to the ground again on first and he’s able to fight this down to the two. That’s eight yds on that run. And now it’s second down. Some backs are easier to tackle than others. Some, well, they just choose violence. They look for those opportunities to bust through tackles and keep those legs pumping. Nice run last play sets up second and two. Here he goes on the bootleg and he sails that one over the end zone. Quarterbacks, well, they’re a lot like sharp shooters in the NBA. Sometimes they’re just going to miss. You got to shake it off and keep on firing. Third down and two here. The offense coming to the line for its seventh play of this drive. [Applause] Out of the gun, Lawrence and they’re going to take this in for the Jacksonville touchdown. The Jaguars finish up an excellent opening series. Well, that right there, partner, that is not a team who looks like it is a steep underdog. That is exactly the type of start they needed. And got to imagine being in their old building might be playing a part in it. Yeah. And we know that home field advantage really benefits the defense more than the offense. As an offense, you just want to do your part. You want to light the fire and let those fans really let their voice be heard. Should benefit their defense immensely. [Music] Cam Little to try the extra points. [Applause] The point after splits the upright and the Jaguars will jump out to a seven nothing lead. Chiefs nothing. All set for the kickoff. off little with the honors on the return. Here’s Nico Rumo and in the end he’s able to get it to what used to be a touchback. Hits at the 25 yd line. So here are the Chiefs out on offense for their first drive and leading them as he always does. A quarterback seeking his fourth consecutive Super Bowl appearance and a fourth Super Bowl title. It’s Patrick Mahomes. All of us as sports fans, we know those players in the other sports that when we just think of the greatest to ever do it, a skill set that’s different than everybody else, immediately a player pops in your mind. And while we have seen goats like Tom Brady and Super Bowl winners many times over, like Brad, Shaw, Montana, and Aman, there’s just not many that have ever done it with the flare, the style, and the skill set of Patrick Mahomes. And he’ll go down after fighting his way to the 32. [Applause] I’m not going to call this a must-sore drive here in this first quarter, Brock. But when your opponents start the game with six, it feels like you need some sort of answer. You need a response, right? You need a response. You don’t need all these home runs or big highlights. You just need to keep metriculating that ball down the field. Quick throw completed by Momes. And they’ll stand him up and sit him down at the line. It’s a gain of a yard and it’s third down. [Music] Third and just two to go. They’ll run it. Here’s Pacheco. He’s got room to roam here and they’re going to bring him down just after he crosses the 50. That’ll go for an 18 yd gain. And the Chiefs are going to have a first down. And a first down, Chiefs. You want to drain some of the excitement, some of the noise from a home stadium. It’s exactly how you do it when you go on the road. Run it right down their throat from the jump. Offense set for a first and 10. Off play action. It’s Mahomes and that’s caught by Hollywood Brown and he’s marked down looks like at the 32 yd line. That one goes for 17 yds and moves the chains. I may love watching a great thrower but I love watching a well done route too. Kate, make that guy think you’re trying to stack him only to drop your hips and cut right inside. Some good work to help reset those chains. [Applause] A first down carry for PCO and he works it inside the 30. That’s a gain of seven. That’s a run that you’ll take the result in the NFL every time. A nice play, a solid game, but it’s also a run that you know and you may come back to because if you were that close to breaking off an explosive one, you really break the backs of a defense. After that little eight-yd scoot, here comes second and two. throwing out to the left cup and he’ll pick up enough to move the chains. Sure seems like he knew exactly what he wanted and he got it going right where he wanted to with the ball off the snap. First down Kansas City. A new set of downs awaits him. Here’s first and 10. [Applause] working inside the red zone. Here’s a screen set up for PCO and he’s able to get this down to the 13. It may not look like much on the stat sheet, but this is kind of good on good. An offense gets a completion not going backwards and the defense, well, they rallied. They pursued and kept that screen to a minimal gain. Eight yds to go. Let’s see how they approach this second down. operating from the gun. Here’s Mahomes. Cut near the goal line and he’s out just before he can hit the end zone. But what a nice first and goal here from the two. When you watch the combine, you’ll watch guys try to make this throw. And without chemistry, it’s so hard to execute. That was picture perfect. That’s a QB and receiver on the same page because that route, that deep out to the field, that takes a just a different level of connectedness. PCO will not get past the line. He’s held up at the floor. This is one of those plays that I wish we had the huddle miked up, Kate, cuz I can assure you that offensive line in their own way is telling that running back, sorry, we did not give you any chance. backed up to the four yd line. Now it’s second and goal. Pressure coming from Momes and they will score. Touchdown Kansas City. Complete. The Chiefs finish off their opening drive. Kansas City. Travis Kelce the touchdown. Well, this coaching staff has got to be a happy partner. a calm and calculated opening drive. Really impressed with the score, how they controlled the football, and they played at their own pace. Yeah, it’s one of those drives that just pays dividends. I know it’s the opening drive, but you’re just taking some of the starch out of that defense and putting some doubt in their mind like, man, they just methodically shoved it right down our throat. the point after extra points sent right down the middle and the Chiefs respond with seven of their own to tie it here early. [Music] There you go. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Harrison Buter now after tying this game up. They’re all set to center away. This one’s fielded at the four yd line and he’s brought down just inside the 25. The Jaguars take over. Second drive of the game upcoming for this Jaguar offense. And after the impressive drive we just witnessed, you got to imagine that they are hoping to respond with something similar. Yeah. And I don’t love to use the word can’t, right? But this can’t be a three and out for this offense right here. They got to give their defense a chance, catch your breath, and turn some of the momentum in the building. Jaguars look ready to go. Here comes first and 10. Here’s ETN to begin the drive. and he powers ahead for about five. It’s going to be second and five. That is simply a stay on schedule kind of run. Nothing more, nothing less, just right on schedule. Brings up second and five at the 31 yd line. First down run nabs him five now. Second and five. [Applause] They’ll give this up the middle to ETN. And this one breaks beautifully as they’re going to get it forward to their own 45. It’s a pick up of 14 yds as the chains reset. Move those chains. That’s good for a Hey, look. You can’t just ask one tackler to go mono emano and stop this guy. You got to have the calvary coming. One guy makes a hit, the others are there to clean up and pile on because one-on-one, he’s going to run right through you. Throwing on first down. Lawrence caught quickly on the slant and he’ll cross the 50 and start pushing onto the opposing side of the field. That is a textbook first down completion. Sets up second and very manageable and creates space to take that shot downfield. Nice spot here for the offense. It’s second and one from the 47. finds a seam down the middle and this one’s worked down to the 33 before being stopped. It’s again they’ll get 14 yds and a new set of downs. And the Jaguars first down. First and 10 at the 33 yd line. No doubt they take a repeat of how this game began, Brock. And that play has them on their way towards it. Scripting for success. They’ll keep pressing the advantage, too, until some resistance has got to finally appear. They’ll try it left with ETN. He’s forward gets a couple of yards through Tranquil brings him to the ground. Sometimes just feel like in the background of every whole home run is a bigger play that just needed one more component. Hit that extra block a little longer. Find the lane quicker. The defender may be a half step late and this could have been much much more exciting. On second down, it’s ETN. And looks like we can call it about four yards in the end. Something he does so well. Nick Bolton making the stop. You know, this is an offense that will emphasize the ground game at different points of each and every contest. And as long as they can reliably get gains like this, it’s not going to change anytime soon. Seventh play of the drive. Offense facing third and three. [Applause] Lawrence working from the gun. Another drop. The last two plays, both should have been intercepted, but neither could be brought in. However, Brock, they do at least force this fourth down. Christian Fton. Oh, that was such an opportunity. Lost. They were looking for a way out without giving up any points on the series. And instead, oh, he just couldn’t quite hang on. Facing fourth down, the Jags electing to send out Cam Little for this field goal try. Ball in the right hash. The distance 43 yds. Little knocks it through and that’s going to break our tie and give him a three-point advantage. You’d expect him to make most of those attempts from this distance, but it’s never a lock. So, they’ll happily take this and finish off the drive with points. all set for the kickoff. Little with the honors. Here’s Smith on the return. And in the end, he’s able to get it to about the 25 yd line before he’s hauled down. at their own. The Chiefs sending their offense out for the second time this game. They were able to say mission accomplished on their last series finding that end zone. But the work, well, it starts all over again right now. And you know this, Kate, from our years together of doing this. I’m a firm believer of call it till they stop it. It doesn’t mean you have to innovate right away. Call the same plays until they stop them because they proved last drive they couldn’t. Offense to the line. They’re going to have trips right to start out. On first and 10, here’s Mahomes. Has him on the quick hitter and he’ll go down after fighting his way to the 32. That’s what you call efficiency. Exactly what you’re looking for on first down. Textbook, it sets up second and very manageable and then creates that space if you want to take a shot downfield. Second and three now. From the gun, it’s Momes. Splits a couple of defenders and completes it. And they’re going to have this up at the 44 yd line as they haul him down. They get 13 on the pickup and it’ll be first down Kansas City. Well, that right there is about the best you could hope for against double coverage. Good chunk of yards and more importantly, Brock, you don’t get burned taking a risk. Yeah, it’s really the defense that gets burned and that is just demoralizing. You got double coverage. You got what you want. And two guys can’t stop one. Man downfield. He’s got it. It’s worthy. And he’s taken down, but he’s got it to the 29. A gain of 27 yds there. And the Chiefs are going to have a first down. The analytics will tell you a handful of these kind of plays per game and your odds per drive of scoring go way up. Running out of the gun with Pacheco. He hurries his forward here for a nine yd gain. Second down coming up. That’s going to do it for our first quarter here on Monday Night Prime Time. Scoreboard shows 107. Back to Everbank Stadium in just a bit. Second quarter about to get underway and an opportunity to score here for the Chiefs. Out of the gun, it’s Momes. Finds him on the slant. Tackle made at the 10. First and goal coming up. Complete to the Schustster. Got to move them chains. Build momentum to keep that defense on its heels. Kansas City. [Applause] They’ll come up. First and 10. Throwing is Momes. This one’s caught. And that play is brought to a halt, they’re going to say, at the five yd line. I feel so bad. I really do. And I don’t mean this sarcastically, Katie. I feel bad for these guys in coverage. I don’t know how you defend some of these players today because they get that drag route, they get one step inside of you, there’s very little you can do other than make the tackle. Throwing with a blitz on the way and this is incomplete. Could have been a touchdown, but all it is now is a third down. Oh, that is that is such a bummer. A dropped touchdown right in the end zone. We’re going to see how quickly he can flush this one. He better because they got to make an impact later. Good moving drive, but it could stall out here. We’ve got third and four. Another throw for Momes. And he’s going to score. Touchdown Kansas City. The Chiefs take a second quarter lead. Patrick Mahomes the touchdown. Okay, we talked to enough coaches over the years and find me a good red zone offense and typically you’ll find me a good creative quarterback. One that can extend a play, use his legs as effectively as he can his arm. [Applause] But to try the point after His kick is good for the moment at least as we’ve got a flag down on the field. I think they’re going to get him for hitting the kicker. The kicker defense. Well, you can’t do that. Got to avoid hitting the kicker. And because of that, the kickoff will be coming from midfield. [Applause] [Music] But on now to kick this one away kickoff for Kansas City and this is going to bounce out of the end zone. So they will set up shop at the 35. over first down. The Jaguars done running back Travis ETN trottting back out to the field. And their last drive did end in points. Not as many as they wanted though. They had to settle for that field goal despite advancing the football pretty well. The Jaguars in a good starting spot here coming up on first and 10 now. Lawrence on the play fake. Pocket isn’t holding up. They’re able to drop it. And the drive begins with a rough first step there. That’s going to bring up second down. When they were in their defensive meetings this week, that’s exactly how you draw it up. Play sound zone defense. Give that quarterback nowhere to go and let that pass rush get home after the sack. Could really use a big play here on second down. It’s second and 15. Another try following the sack. That one’s incomplete. Had the connection, but some stone hands got in the way there. Bro, I hate to be Mr. Negative guy, but a sack two plays ago, an incompletion right there. All that’s missing, Kate, is an interception on this play and you’re going to hand this quarterback a misfortune trifecta that nobody wants. So, after that prior incompletion, we’ve got third down from the shotgun. Lawrence, he’ll make a bid for it on the ground. And the stop is made just before he’s able to reach that midfield strike. A gain of seven. Well, third and 15. You don’t see many of those picked up, partner, but they found a way. Jaguars. First and 10 at the 48 yd line. [Applause] As long as these are the results he’s getting, they’re going to be just fine with him calling his own number. He does such a good job of seeing the field and knowing when it’s his time to take it himself. First down throw. Lawrence defender arrives right as the ball does and the hit knocks it free. Incomplete looking for his back. Travis ETN there and it sets up second and 10. So they opt for the shorter pass later in the progression on that play, Brock. But man, the defense took that away too. Well, what’ they tell us yesterday in those production meetings? Nothing comes easy. No easy completions from shots down the field to those checkowns to the running back. wanted to make this offense earn everything. They just did. And they make the tackle at the 38. It’s a pick up of 14 yds as the chains reset. And those are the completions they rely on from their passing game. First and 10 at the 38. New set of downs for him at the 38. Lawrence with it on first into the hands of his running back ETN and he’s stopped at the 31 yd line. Hey, you like these results on first. That completion right there, right in the window where all options are now available to you on second down. That playbook wide wide open. Second and three now. [Applause] Inside handoff goes to ETN. Duke the defender. He mix it in for the Jacksonville touchdown. The Jaguars take a second quarter lead. Travis ETN the touchdown. Can you know what a run like that does for everybody? For the play caller, for the O lineman, for the offense, it just gives you confidence that you can call that run again. and not expect a little chunk, but go get explosive on the ground as well. Honest little for the extra point. For the extra point. Right down the middle. It’s good. Good. And the Jaguars push their lead to three. Jaguars 17, Chiefs 14. all set for the kickoff. Little with the honors. Here’s Smith on the return. And this gets out to the 30 before he stops. First and 10. The Chief’s offense set to take over again. And that last drive, no answer for what they were doing through the air. So, expect some tighter coverage this time around. [Applause] [Applause] First and 10 now from the 30. [Applause] It gives to Veco to start the drive and he drives that bunk backward on a gain of four. You know, Kate, that might be a little bit of a disappointing run to him. He wanted more. They always do. That’s exactly what they were after offensively to get this drive moving. So, gain of five on that first down. Let’s see if they can repeat that performance now here on second to the air. Momes gets him on the in route and they push this down to the opposing 47 yd line. Give him 18 yds on that play, Brock. And it gets him a first down. And a first down. Chiefs. I know the combine tries to test everything it possibly can physically, but I don’t know how you test courage at the combine because there’s nobody defending you. Nobody wants to hit you, but that was the epitome of courage to make that in cut and make the catch. Short pass brought in and he’s brought down. But there’s some laundry on the field defense. [Applause] Easy call for the officials there. He was off signs at the snap and that’s going to cost him. Still first down. A bit jumpy across the way there and that halfs the distance ahead of him on first down. They’ll run here following the penalty. jukes one defender and he’s stopped as he gets this one down at the 27 yd line. Give him 15 yds on the pickup there and it’ll be first down Kansas City. That right there that will make the coaches happy. He didn’t just get the first down but got a healthy chunk of bonus yards afterwards. Still on the move coming to the line for first and 10. Momes. He finds Pacheco out of the back field. He’s forced out of bounds after a gain of about four there. Second down. Kate, I don’t know why every once in a while I get these little flashbacks, but a little play like that just flashes me back to the preseason, my first preseason, where one of the veteran QBs said, “Hey, Brock, whatever you do, just find completions. You will never go broke taking a profit. Go get a completion. They’re at a premium in this league. Here’s second and five. And the cover just too good there. Didn’t find the throw that he was confident in. So just throws it away. Third down coming up. The coverage [Applause] [Music] right here. operating from the gun. Here’s Mahomes. Oh, he missed that one and he knew it. Put it behind his guy and now it’s fourth down. The numbers tell us pretty clearly you get to third and long, extra long, it’s really hard to stay on the field. That’s disappointing because that was third and manageable in an incomplete. So on fourth down, the Chiefs field goal unit and Harrison Bucker headed out. It’s on the right hash for this 39 y. Bucker knocks it through and we’re all tied up now in the first half. You always feel like you leave a few points on the field when you kick it from here, but they don’t wind up empty-handed on the drive. And the kicker, well, he gets to pad his stats a little bit with the high percentage make. So, we’ve got a tie ball game now as they send this away. starting from the five and he’s going to make this to the 28 before going down. The Jaguars done running back Travis ETN trottting back out to the field and he has run rough shot over them in this opening half. Pretty sure this is the exact kind of start that he was hoping to have here. First call here coming from the shotgun [Applause] on the ground to begin this drive with ETN and he will not get any further but plenty of progress already it’s a gain of 23 yd that’s good for a Jaguars I’ll tell you what K one of the things I’m most proud of coming out of broadcast are my O line buddies that will hit me up during the game and say thank you thank you for finally showing some love and giving some light to what those big boys are doing up front. I got to play with some of the best to do. I got to see it up close and personal because of it. I’ll never forget it. And they just showed up on that run. That is normally a gimme for this offense. These short throws, but the defense, well, they had just enough influence on that play to force the incompletion. After the incomplete pass, here comes second and 10. Now it’s Lawrence. Here comes the screen for ETN and he’s short of the first after a mild game. Following the play, one of the Jaguars in some distress as they hurry the medical staff out to look at him. [Music] All plays on the table here for third and three. Out of the gun, Lawrence hits his running back and he’s tackled with a first down yardage. A five yd gain on the play and the Jaguars first down. Hey Kate, they don’t rightly care who it’s going to go to in that situation. All they really care about are the results on third down and that’s exactly the result they needed enough to keep this drive moving. Markers reset. ball at the 37 and the receivers’s going to take this one on the jet sweep. Continuing to turn those legs inside the 25. He’s taken out as he brings it down towards the 10. This one goes for an even 25 yd. And that’s a Jaguar first down. You know, one secret ingredient on these Jet Sweets to take off like that cake, it’s timing. We talk about timing and precision in the passing game, but it’s the same thing on a jet sweep. You got to hand it off just at the right time to capture an edge like he just did. And he’s into the end zone. Touchdown Jacksonville. The Jaguars take a second quarter lead. Travis ETN the touchdown. It’s what every player who scores a touchdown wants to do, Brock. He wants to get right back there and put another six on the board. I’ve never met an NFL player content with one end zone trip in a game. Nope. Yeah, if you’re content, you’re not making it to this league. You get one, you’re instantly thinking of another. And the fortunate few are able to actually deliver on it. On his little for the extra point. The extra point. [Applause] The point after splits the upright and the Jaguars break that tie and now lead by seven. Chiefs 17. [Applause] Cam Little to kick off. All set for the kickoff. Little with the honors. Rami with the return. Coverage team gets him down at the 26 yd line. The Chiefs are headed out and we’ll see Isaiah Pacheco and in a high-scoring game to this point, everyone anticipating well even more points as they take the field. [Applause] All right, working from the gun to starts first and 10. He’s got Brown on the slant and he’s going to be stopped right around the 37. They’ll move the chains after that pickup of 12. Boy, they sure found the right route at the right time to hit the soft spot in that coverage. And that slant, it goes for big yardage. Markers reset. Ball at the 37. Off play action. It’s Momes. This is Brown and he’s got it downfield and he’ll be taken down but not until he reaches that 45 yd line. They’ll get 18 yds there. And the Chiefs are going to have a first down. Double coverage. A dealbreaker for a lot of QBs, Brock, but less so when it’s a target you trust. You know, it’s interesting, Kate. even 20 something years ago watching Marvin Harrison and Pton Manning work. Every defense would go into every game trying to double cover him. But yet those two well like we just saw right there just got it done regardless. They’ll give this up the middle to PCO into the second level past the 30 and he has this all the way down to the 23. They manage 22 on the rip and a first down. Those unsung heroes, those big guys up front on the O line. Let’s give them a little love right here Kate. They don’t always get the attention they deserve on a broadcast, but let me tell you, they played a huge role in that big old run. Mahomes on first and 10. And he’s not quite that fast. Let him just a bit too much. That’s incomplete. Travis Kelsey. Travis Kelce the intended target. So, second down coming up. Hunter. That’s a throw at this level with so much speed and length. You got to be real careful. Rarely do you find a clean window down the middle. got to be absolutely perfect and it wasn’t there. From the gun, it’s Mahomes completed over the middle and he’s right up next to that first down. Doesn’t quite get there. Gain of nine. That brings up third and short. Sometimes when you’re just looking to move it forward, get some small yards on a throw. Quarterback’s best friend, security blanket. And when it’s a big old tight end, that’s an extra bonus. Third down, one yard to go. Here’s Mahomes on the sneak and he’s going to be touchdown as he gets him enough to pick up the first down. Two yards on the play. First down Kansas City. We’re at the two-minute warning now from Everbank. The Chiefs trailing in the early going. All right, set now. First and 10. He’ll pass it this time. Dialing up a receiver screen and he’s brought down a little short. No, actually they do give him the 10 yd line. How’s your block shedding out there, boys? Cuz they need to get through some blocks to hang that screen up quickly. And they were Johnny on the spot. Eight yds to go. Let’s see how they approach this second down. The Jaguars are going to call their first time out as they’ll meet and decide what to do on this second down. [Applause] a tight end in motion now. Out of the gun, it’s Momes. Has it in close and it’s another first down on this drive. Man, this time they’re into first and goal. First and goal at the timeout taken by the defense. They’re second and they are quite frustrated having to call that after giving up the first. Oh, and Jumbo set on this first and goal. Now it’s a bootleg for him. And that is cocked. It’s a Kansas City touchdown. The Chiefs earn the chance to tie it before halftime. It’s a Maris Brown touchdown. Right on the edge of the goal line for first and goal. And I don’t know about you, partner, but that surprised me that they just threw it in. No attempts at running it. Yeah, I think it is so hard for these defenders. You got to be so keyed in and physically, you know, you’ve got to stop that run first. So, a first down pass play can and certainly was effective. [Applause] But to try the point after [Applause] extra point sent right down the middle and the Chiefs bring it back to even. 2424 [Applause] Harrison now after tying this game up. They’re all set to send her away. That’s going to be taken in at the eight and he’s brought down just inside the 25. The Jaguars take over. The Jaguars then running back Travis ETN trotting back out to the field. They’re getting close to a minute to play, Brock. And they’re going to need that time with a long field ahead. Jacksonville offense ready to get going. Here’s first and 10. Lawrence working from the gun. He’s going to loft one deep to the left and this is going to end up incomplete. He really aired it out there on first down but just couldn’t make the connection. That’s a throw that’s got to go somewhere else. Double coverage waiting for him. They were thinking interception for a second. An incompletion is still pretty good too. Still 10 to go. It’s second down now from the 26. Lawrence looking to throw, setting up the screen. That screen sniffed out quickly. Shut down behind the line. The Chiefs signal for a timeout. That’s going to be their first. And they’ll take a moment to ponder what the call’s going to be on third down. [Music] Lawrence throwing here. He lost it deep left. Well, they had the look. Certainly didn’t shy away from it, but couldn’t connect. And now they’re stuck facing fourth down. Oh, that drop is such a bummer because it ruins the payoff of such a welldesigned play. Kate got the man open, beat the coverage, but then you got to go finish it. You got to go make that catch. I will say, keep that one in mind. They could revisit that play in the future. Jukes out of one stop and he’s brought down before the return gets far. The Chiefs are out once again. Their offense led by Patrick Mahomes. And at the pace he’s begun the game throwing the football. Brock, he is in line for a special type of performance if they need to keep throwing it until the end. All right, the Chiefs in good field position here as they start out first and 10 back to throw Momes. Has him on the quick hitter and he drives this across midfield and down into enemy territory. Timeout taken by Kansas City. It’s second and they still have one in their pocket for what’s left of this half. After a good pickup, they’ve got second and four. From the 47 brought in by Guju. A solid gain there. Gets him across the 45 before he goes out. That goes as a fouryd pickoff and it gets him a first down. on the play. They like to say it’s about the Jimmies and the Joe’s. I think that’s about the X’s and the O’s. That’s a well drawn up completion that nets them a first down. Let’s see how they attack this first down. Brock from the 43 to the air. Momes. Kelsey’s got it right side and they bring him down around the 34. Quarterbacks will look for their tight end short in just about any situation. They take away the deeper options. Now there’s their consistent source of positive yardage, the trusty tight end. Nice spot here for the offense. It’s second and one. They motion the tight end over. He gets this one to Smith Shuster and they stop him. He’s marked down along that 18 yd line. Smith. The Chiefs will use their third and final timeout and that’s all they’ve got for what little remains of this half. [Applause] The drive picks up here. First and 10. Throwing again. Momes and they will score. Touchdown Kansas City. The Chiefs take the lead just before halftime. Kansas City. Xavier Worthy the touchdown. That one not easy. Brock threading the needle there. Boy, there was a lot of traffic in the end zone, but he still found his man. Yeah, you don’t really recommend challenging double coverage in the end zone in this league. But when you give your receiver a chance in that spot, that’s what they love. And sometimes you just have to trust that your guys are better than the ones surrounding him, and he’ll go make that play anyway. But to try the point after [Applause] [Music] [Applause] right down the middle it’s good and the Chiefs break that tie and now lead by seven. Jaguars 24. [Music] [Applause] Buter on now to kick this one away for Kansas City. He’s going to return it from a yard or two deep. This isn’t even going to make the 20. The coverage team gets to it. Take over first and 10 at their own 19 yd line. [Music] Beginning a new drive here, but just 16 seconds to go before halftime. They’ll turn to the ground game and just run this clock out. And they’re going to bring him down after his play. Rips off quite a chunk of yardage there. Off to the 30. Now a timeout called by the Jaguars. That’s their third. Jaguars. And that’s all they’ve got for what little remains of this half. First and 10 at the 30 yd line. First and 10 now from the 30 [Applause] from the shotgun. Lawrence and they’re going to tag a defender with this one. Pass interference defense. So, a little too much contact on the part of the defender and the officials flag him for it. First and 10, it’s Lawrence able to find Strange here and they get this down roughly to the 34 yd line. So, a onepossession game, Brock, after our first two quarters. Now, let’s throw it over to our pal Scott Hansen. He’s got our halftime report. Okay, Kate, thanks very much. Welcome in everyone. Scott Hansen here on the Fifth Floor Studios. A little abridged version of the halftime report here as both defensive coordinators might be having speaks with their players. That begs the question, can any defense get a stop in the second half? To find out, let’s go back out to the stadium and join our commentary team, Kate Scott and Brock Huard. Thanks for that update, Scots. Welcome back, everyone, for the third quarter. Had a one-touchdown game here as we get you back down to the field. Cam Little Dick. Well, if you love highscoring games, no doubt you have been glued to your television so far. And no signs of slowing down as we begin our second half. Coverage team gets him down at the 26 yd line. on the return. The Chiefs are headed out and we’ll see Isaiah Pacheco. They’ve certainly had no issues scoring, but their opponents have been right there with them, so they could really use some more points on this drive. Offense into the shotgun set as they line this up. First and 10. Operating from the gun, here’s Momes. And this one’s incomplete. Too low as it skips off the ground. Hey Kate, I know it’s unrealistic to expect a 100% completion rate from anywhere on the field. But in this close, you really shouldn’t be missing too many throws. Those need to be borderline automatic. Still 10 to go. It’s second down now from the 26. Now they’ll throw out of the gun. Short pass brought in. This is a nice game. Nearly moves those chains. He’s got it up to the 36. Sure. Nice to see them looking for their tight ends in the passing game. Such great size to have out there. It really forces defenses to try to find a way to defend them along with everybody else. All right, looks like they’re going to try to power this across. goal line formation on third and inches and he’ll get taken down after advancing this to the 37. Just a single yard, but that’s going to be enough to move the chains. Kate, is there a simpler play in football that’s come to life more than the QB sneak? We see all different varieties now, but it has become so darn effective. And when you got a tough QB that wants to put it on his shoulders, you sign up for it. And in a blink, they are off to midfield before somebody manages to stop him. Pick up 12 on that play. And it’ll be first down Kansas City. Kansas City. What a great sign to start the second half for this offense because with a lead, well, the ground game becomes your best friend. the centerpiece for this offense trying to chew up that clock. First down and they go right back to it. Cobble together a yard there. Devin Lloyd on the tackle. Okay, this why you got to be careful to just run it always on first down. You got to break your tendencies. The casual fan, well, that casual fan knew what was coming, but more importantly, this defensive front did too. Last run only gained a yard. That means it’s second and nine. Quick throw completed by Mahomes and he goes down a little short of the 40. Complete to number one Xavier Worthy. A sevenyd gain on the play and it’s third down. Third down and two here. The offense coming to the line for its seventh play of this drive. Pacheco gets it from the gun and he’s dropped just short of the marker, maybe a yard away. That’s one of those plays, Kate, as an offense that just sticks with you a little bit. It bothers you that you just can’t convert on a very manageable down and distance. And on the other side, well, it sure gives you some confidence defensively to get off the field. Well, apparently a little too long to run the field goal unit out. the offense staying put to go for it. Looking to throw and he’s caught. He’s got Brown and he’ll pick up enough to move the chains. It sure seemed like he knew exactly where he was going with that right off the snap. [Applause] First down ball at the 36. And he let his man just a little too much there. That’s an incomplete pass. No luck finding his receiver that time. And we’ll see what they do here on second down. You know, in the NFL, offensive-minded teams will call it a perfect Friday. They don’t want the ball to hit the ground once. And especially on these short to intermediate throws, you got to count on those being efficient and effective. Second down run by Picheo. And they’re going to be set up just outside that red zone. They gain 14 on the play. And the Chiefs are going to have a first down. 14. First down Chiefs. That’s just not the guy defensively you ever want in the open field. Frankly, with the amount of space he had at one point, they’re lucky to have limited to the gain they did. He brings the offense up now for a first and 10. A counter give here to PCO. He’s pushed straight ahead and that’s maybe a yard at most. Josh Hines Allen that time to haul him down. These are the kind of runs, Kate, that just soften up a defense. Keep working on them. Keep working on them and eventually you’re going to break one of those counters for even bigger yardage. Following that little two-yd run, it’s second and eight. Here’s Momes. He’s keeping it and he will manage a little before being forced into a slide as that’s going to chip something off this upcoming third down. That is quarterback play 101. Maybe not the first chapter of it, but man is that important. getting downfield. Get what you can with your legs. Then most importantly, protect yourself. Get down and don’t take any extra contact. Third down. It’s Momes. Oh, he’s going to run for it. Ball is out. Mahomes fumbled it and it looks like Yeah, they got it back right at the oneyd line and nearly in the end zone for a touchdown. That right there was impressive, Brock. Even with a fumble, absolutely no panic on his part, finding that football, keeping the play going, and taking it in for six. I am just hearing my old offensive coordinator, Tom Moore, say, “Whoever plays the hardest the longest wins.” And that’s what you got to do. You got to play harder. You got to play longer than your opponent. And when you get an opportunity, go seize it. [Applause] But to try the point after the point after splits the upright and the Chiefs double their lead to 14. 38 Jaguars 24. [Applause] [Music] But on now to kick this one away for Kansas City. Here’s a return from the seven. He stopped on the run back of the 27. Now the Jaguars offense ready to take over once more. Their work really cut out for him now partner to follow up that touchdown and get things back to a one-score game. [Applause] Jaguars look ready to go. Here comes first and 10. Out of the gun give to ETN, escapes a defender and they get about five on that first down as he’s sent out of bounds. So five still to go now on second. 32 yd line. Cool thing about a drive starting run like that, Kate, is it really just gives you every opportunity in the playbook, whatever you want to do. But as for me, I like to reward that runner. Give it to him again and see if he can get you a new set of downs. Second and four. And he doesn’t see a window he likes, so he just got rid of that one. Then brings up third down on the throw away. brings up third down and four. Baby out of the gun. Lawrence complete beyond the marker and he’s tackled with a first down yardage. A gain of nine yds and the Jaguars first down. First and 10 at the 41 yd line. You know Kate, they say a dog is a man’s best friend. Well, a tight end that moves the chains on third down, that’s a QB’s best friend. First and 10 from the 41. They go play action. Lawrence caught by Washington left side and the defense waiting for him at the line and he goes down. Well, if they were concerned about losing yards running it on first down, it just happened anyway. Not many passes end in the loss. Hopefully, they got a little more aggressive strategy coming here on second down. Everyone’s prepped. It’s second down now. Again, it’s Lawrence to throw. Here comes the screen for ENT. And they’re approaching midfield with that gain of six. He’s up to the 46. Well, this is the type of game we’ve come to expect from him as a runner to the ball, but he’s just as adept at turning a screen into the same kind of yardage, too. Third and four coming up now. throwing again. Here’s Lawrence. Got his man. Thomas has it and he’ll pick up enough to move the chains. Good luck defending that short yardage slant. Just not going to happen. There’s a reason this is a go-to play for just about any quarterback in every situation. From the 44 yd line now. First and 10. sticking in the air with Lawrence into the hands of his running back ETN. And this is only going to be a small gain to the 42. Stopped by a two-time AllPro in his first three seasons in the NFL, Trent McDuffy. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Eight yds to go. Let’s see how they approach this second down. From the gun, ETN gets it. And this hasn’t been a common side out of him tonight, but the defense wins this rep. He’s limited to no gain on a carry. I know from the position of the quarterback, Kate, sometimes you hand that ball, you put it in the belly of the running back and you send him right into the teeth of a buzzsaw. You can feel it from the jump. And that call from the defense, well, it came at the perfect time. It’s been an eightplay drive. And on play number nine, now nine is what they need on third down. Lawrence working from the gun. Caught him deep behind the line. Oh, the ball is out. But the Jaguars get back on top of the loose football. They’re keeping possession. A loss of nine brings up fourth down. The Jaguars into punt formation. Jaguars. And this is the second time he’s been brought on to kick it. Ooh, it’s away. But he knows he mis hit that one. Headed for the sideline now. This one, not much of a chance of it staying in the field of play. They’ll mark it out at the 13 yd line. The Chiefs are headed out and we’ll see Isaiah Pacheco. And unsurprisingly, Brock, a great day on the scoreboard so far for him. Has him with the advantage as we move through this third quarter. [Applause] Chiefs coming up to the line here. It’s first and 10. Out of the gun, it’s Momes. Oh, they get to him behind the line and he loses the football. Oh, the Jags got it. You know, this just can’t happen on first down. It really can’t. I mean, ball security is at a premium on every down, every distance, but on first down, it is especially a killer. [Applause] Jacksonville heading out there on offense and as they get set partner got to imagine they’re bringing some urgency with them to the field this drive too. Yeah, I think you and I both know in calling these NFL games that sense of urgency can be replaced by full-blown panic in a hurry. So find a way to possess the ball and more importantly score some points. First call here coming from the shotgun. throwing now following the turnover. Setting up the running back screen. These drives quickly headed in the wrong direction. First place sat down behind the line. I know coordinator and quarterback going to be upset with that first down because you call a screen on first. You’re thinking stay ahead of schedule. Even a minimal gain to stay on pace, but instead, well, that defense creates a negative play and sets him back behind the sticks. looking to throw Lawrence. The throw is caught. And how about this Bra thinking 11 on second down. Nice work to claw some back. They make it third and short. You know, they really love that drag route because he’s one of those guys that can count on not only to make the catch, but create after the catch. If they don’t close on him quickly, he can add a lot of yards before someone tracks him down. You can do it. ETN on third down. They sent him right up the gut, but he wasn’t able to get anywhere. The defense brace for impact and they made the stop. It’s fourth down. It’s after plays like these, Kate. I love to study the body language. What is that offense doing after getting stuffed inside on a run like that? And more importantly, how much does it energize that defense? I’m not having fun anymore. A full quarter to go, but they feel like they got to make their move now. They are going for this going on fourth. Here’s Lawrence. And this is C. It’s a Jacksonville touchdown. The Jaguars shrinking the lead some in the third. Brian Thomas Jr. the touchdown. No hesitation on that throw. He got the guy he wanted right away and he got it to him for the touchdown. You know, it’s great, Kate, to draw plays that have all sorts of different options, but it’s even better when you don’t have to get to your second read. His first broke open just like they planned. And that’s six in the end. on his little for the extra points. [Music] Extra point sent right down the middle. And the Jaguars chop the lead in half. It’s down to seven. 38. Jaguars 31. Cam Little. And just like that, we’re back to a onep possession ball game as the kickoff is away. Here’s Smith on the return. And he’s brought down just inside the 25. The Chiefs take the Chiefs are out once again. and their offense led by Patrick Mahomes. And like we’ve seen from him before, Brock, he got a good game going early through the air and kept the pressure up from then on. He’s still taking it to him now as we work through this second half. [Applause] All right, working from the gun to start. First and 10. May begin with a quick completion to the right side and he’s going to get this one to the 36 yd line. They get an even 10 on that play and it’ll be first down Kansas City. Kansas City. Nice to see that connection, that chemistry working between the two of them. First down ball at the 36 running up the middle. Pacheco and they’re going to bring him down just a moment before he’s able to break it across midfield. It’s a gain of 12 there and the Chiefs are going to have a first down. And a first down Chiefs. Offensive coordinators tell us all the time big runs only happen with coordinated efforts. Great block in the spring of guys hitting blocks downfield and a back who can show off his wheels on first and 10. Here’s Mahomes. He had it for a moment, but a great defensive play to jar it loose. Incomplete. Brian connected with Xavier Worthy there. And that’ll bring up second down and 10. I think that was a throw, Kate, that just came a little bit too late. What it did is it gave that defense time to come up and deliver a pop and knock the ball loose before he could secure it fully. Here’s a handoff to Veco. And that one doesn’t get him much. Give him maybe a yard. It’s third downer. He was taken down at the 50 yd line. A two yd gain on the play and it’s third down. [Applause] [Music] They just get the play off. Hits him on the out round and out he goes on the final play of the quarter. So just one quarter to go on Monday night prime time. It’s Chiefs football trying to carry this lead across the finish line. [Applause] First down now. Ball at the 39 yd line. [Applause] Running is PCO. Very small gain if anything here. Maybe a yard. It’s second down. The only thing I can say positive about the execution of that play is at least he didn’t go backwards at the 38 yd line [Applause] for the NFL on EA Sports. We’ll pick things up in the fourth and final quarter. throwing on first down. Lawrence defender arrives right as the ball does and the hit knocks it free. Incomplete. Thomas, you know, that was almost a nice chunk play before he was able to recover and provide the kit that dislodges the football. You like to see that physical edge and scrainess to contest any kind of shot plays deep. No luck on first down. Here’s second and 10 again. And it’s Lawrence to throw. Hits him on the in route. And he’s sent out right after he makes that catch at the 40 yd line. And that one goes for a gain of 11. And that’s a Jaguar first down. I may love watching a great thrower, but I love watching a well done route too, Kate. Make that guy think you’re trying to stack him only to drop your hips and cut right inside. Some good work to help reset those chains. Lawrence is hit. The ball is loose and this is picked up by the Chiefs and that right there is going to be the spot they take over as they pick up a couple extra yards on the fumble returned by Kansas. You know, this just can’t happen on first down. It really can’t. I mean, ball security is at a premium on every down, every distance, but on first down, it is especially a killer. The Chiefs and Xavier Worthy back in possession here. And I think they’d be content doing everything the same as their prior drive and getting another touchdown here. All right, the Chiefs in good field position here as they start out first and 10. It gives to BCO to strike the drive. Finds a nice lane there. That’s good for six yards. A timeout taken by Jacksonville. It’s second and they’ll have just one left to burn now. Cool thing about a drive starting run like that, Kate, is it really just gives you every opportunity in the playbook, whatever you want to do. But as for me, I like to reward that runner. Give it to him again and see if he can get you a new set of downs. Seven yards on that last play. So this is second and three. Right back to PCO. Open space inside the 40. And he’s down all the way to the 30. Now a timeout called by the Jaguars. That’s their third. That’s all they had. So the offense free to start running the clock down now. [Applause] victory formation here. Looks like they’re going to take a knee on first down. With a win in hands, they’ll take the knee. Let this clock run out. Nothing left to do now, Kate, but celebrate on one side and watch on hopelessly from the other. What a hard-fought effort to get to this spot. And now you can enjoy the victory. Lining up to take any on second down. So it’s a win for the visiting Chiefs. And even on the road, this was a game they expected to win fairly convincingly. And I think we can say they’ve done just that. Brock, to the chagrin of the hometown fans who are hoping to see that upset. with Brock and our entire crew. I’m Kate Scott. You’ve been watching the NFL on EA Sports. It’s a win for the Chiefs as we bid farewell from Jacksonville. We’re back on EA Sports. It’s been a close game and we’re in for a fight to the finish as we pick things up in the fourth quarter. This is very close, but it looks like he’s going to be marked. Yep. Mark Shy that first down at the 30. Oh man, these are the kind of plays you can’t wait to get on film and watch the next day. Look at the fellow pass catchers. Look at the guys getting out in front helping on that screen pass. Get your player in space, your buddies do the rest around you, and a big play follows. Here’s Mahomes on the sneak. He’s fighting all he can but won’t get that final yard. They’re going to have fourth down coming up. That’s all you could really expect from a sneak Kate. One maybe a couple yards. So in that way, their job was executed. But the play call that leaves me and I think many scratching our heads. Harrison Buter out now. He knows how big this try is. This one from 47 yds away. But knocks it through and despite that bad snap, they’re able to tack on three. It doesn’t take a math major Kate to realize how important that field goal was. It’s now a two-score game really late and puts them in the driver’s seat to go and finish this thing with the win. At least we focus on the next Harrison on now to kick this one away. Kansas City. This one’s fielded at the 40 yd line. Coverage team gets him down at the 26 yd line. the Jacksonville offense back on the field now. They were able to say mission accomplished on their last series finding that end zone, but the work, well, it starts all over again right now. And you know this, Kate, from our years together of doing this. I’m a firm believer of call it till they stop it. It doesn’t mean you have to innovate right away. Call the same plays until they stop them because they proved last drive they couldn’t. Jacksonville offense ready to get going. Here’s first and 10. Here’s ETN to begin the drive. Escapes a defender and he’s taken down just a couple of yards shy of the 40. They’ll move the chains after that pick up of 12. Simply put, Kate, that is a drive starter extraordinaire. First and 10 at the 38 yd line. New set of downs for him at the 38. Lawrence with it on first. That’s too far in front and it’s not going to be caught. Ryan Thomas Jr. his intended target and we’ll see what they do here on second down. Well covered on that play. Really not a large window for him to sneak that throw in after the incompletion. Still at the 38. It’s second and 10. from the shotgun. Lawrence completed over the middle and they’re going to bring him down just on the other side of midfield. It’s a 13 yd play and that’s enough for the first. You know, it sure seems like he knew exactly where he was going with that before the snap. That’s a pre- snap decision that led to a post snap first down. To the line we go. They’re set. First and 10. [Applause] Out of the gun, a give to ETN. And this hasn’t been a common sign out of him tonight, but the defense wins this rep. He’s limited to no gain on the carry. Call it no gain on that run. And they face second and 10. Job one of so many DTackles in this league is eat up space. Don’t get moved off your spot. But the difference makers, they just not only eat the space, they eat those runners, too. Second and 10 now. Here comes the screen for TN and they make the play at the 39 just before he can pick up that first down. We’ve heard it said and I believe it to my core. Football is the ultimate team sport and a well-run screen like that is the ultimate team play because it takes all 11 doing their job. Here we go. Goal line formation coming out on third and inches. Lawrence here running a sneak and he’ll get them enough for a first down. It’s a gain of a yard. That’s another Jaguars first down. First and 10 at the That’s more than a must get for a quarterback. I really put that in the always get territory. Even if the defense knows what’s coming, you got to be able to drive forward for at least a couple inches. New set of downs for him at the 38. Here’s ETN on first down. Well, even a great game is going to have its lesser moments. You can’t get anything out of that carry. Stopped for no gain. The only thing I could say positive about the execution of that play. At least he didn’t go backwards. At the Chiefs 37 yd line, they’ll come to the line here. Second and nine. Lawrence working from the gun. has it downfield working the left and they’re going to stop him but he got enough to make it first and goal from the eight. It’s a gain of 29. Move those chains. That’s good for another Jacksonville. First and goal at the eight yd line. Sure seems like he knew exactly what he wanted and he got it going right where he wanted to with the ball off the snap on play action now. Lawrence, that one’s incomplete in the end zone. That’s going to be a play tomorrow when they watch it on tape. They’re going to be kicking themselves a bit. K, you get man-to-man coverage down in the red zone, you got to take advantage of it. It’s hard zone coverage and the windows are so tight. You get man got to find a way to win. So after the incomplete pass, here’s second and goal. Lawrence throwing here. This one’s caught. He’s just one of those guys, Kate. Even when he’s not open, he’s still a target thanks to that physicality and his ability to just play bully ball. They don’t like forcing into coverage, but sometimes when you got a bully like him that could create space, you just find a way to get him the ball. Big play coming up here as everyone gets set for third and goal again. It’s Lawrence to throw. Pocket isn’t holding up. They’re able to drop it. And the defense a down away from completing this stand. It’s fourth and goal. Fourth and goal. I know we talk about rhythm a lot when it comes to music, but it’s the same thing with a quarterback and his protection. This QB was in rhythm, but they knocked the notes out of him on that one. Facing fourth down, the Jags electing to send out Cam Little for this field goal try. yard. This from 30 yards out. Tracking for it and it’s good. And it pulls him back within one score here in the fourth. His make there, they had to have that one. And it really does set up a judgment call down on the field. And this is where special teams coach and head coach are talking about game management. You got three timeouts left. So you really can write either script you want. Onside kick or send it deep. [Applause] Cam little. And just like that, we’re back to a onep possession ball game as the kickoff is away. Riho with the return. And this drive will start inside the 25. The Chiefs are out once again. Their offense led by Patrick Mahomes. yard line and he’ll be happy to keep letting it fly as much as he has all game. Look at these numbers. They show just how effective he’s been in captaining this offense. [Applause] First call here coming from the shotgun. [Applause] They go play action. It’s Momes. hauled in by Gray and he maybe got back to the line there, but no further. Well, if they were concerned about losing yards, running it on first down, it just happened anyway. Not many passes end in a loss. Hopefully, they got a little more aggressive strategy coming here on second down. Offense to the line for second down. Out of the gun, it’s Momes. Hauled in by Worthy right side. Hit almost as he caught it. He does well to hold on to it. Gets him to the 37. They’ll get 14 yds and a new set of downs. Well, that is pretty darn impeccable timing between the two to hit a curl route of that length. It takes great anticipation and precision by the quarterback and the receiver on the other end finishing it, doing his job. Running out of the gun with Pacheco and a couple of teammates combining there for the stop after just one yard. Okay, this is why you got to be careful to just run it always on first down. You got to break your tendencies. The casual fan, well, that casual fan knew what was coming, but more importantly, this defensive front did, too. Last run only gained a yard. That means it’s second and nine. From the gun, it’s Momes. And that’s knocked away. The linebacker who got him in the middle of the field incomplete. Clean break up on that throw. And things look tougher now with third and long. I’ll tell you what, Kate, challenging this guy in a close game, you are tempting fate. He got one hand on it. He gets two. It could have gone the other way. Third down. It’s Momes. Now, who else? Kelsey’s got another. And the tackles made just beyond midfield at the 48. Big gain. 14 on the play and it’ll be first down Kansas City and a first down Chiefs. [Applause] I’m not sure how this defense let that guy slip through him like that. On third down, nonetheless, he took that snap as an opportunity and man did he make an impact play. finds his favorite target again. It’s worthy. And he works this to the 38 before going down. Hey, you like these results on first. That completion right there, right in the window where all options are now available to you on second down. That playbook wide, wide open. Nice spot here for the offense. It’s second and one. throwing again. Momes. He’s got it to him yet again. And that one is caught and he’s brought down at about that 27 yd line with a pickup of 11. And the Chiefs are going to have a first down. Nice to see that connection, that chemistry working between the two of them. Up to the line and they’re set. First and 10. [Applause] A counter give here to Pacheco. Breaks the tackle. Green grass ahead. And a nice start here on first down. He gets him six before the stop is made. Just that speed. You got to have some different gear when you get down here to the red zone. It’s hard to score rushing touchdowns. And that running back sees the open space. He sees the green grass and he finishes it off with six. But with the extra points and the Chiefs double their lead to 14. Chiefs 48, Jaguars 34. [Music] Harrison on now to kick this one away. They’re able to drop him. And the drive begins with a rough first step there. That’s going to bring up second down. This overwhelming pressure in these sacks after sacks after sacks. Well, it’s built this lead and you know it’s the way they want to finish it. 12 to go now on second down after the sack. Trying again following the sack. Stepping up and he’s going to run. And this play reaches the 35 before it comes to an end. A nice gain of 13 yds as it brings up a first down. That’s good for a Jaguars. It’s the two-minute warning here in Jacksonville. Is this a fake game? It’s not matching what is on TV
The game is on now!!! Monday night, ABC!!!
We need marching bands and cheerleader for halftime at the Superbowl. Not the bad bunny singing about drug and partying.
Who ever thinks of the hip flopping jive talk blabbing.
Talk about a load of clown poo
When they show games with this Madden game show. Sucks. Show the real games and not like a video game!!
Cada semana la NFL nos recuerda por qué amamos este deporte 🏈💥
No hay guiones, solo estrategia y corazón.
Me encanta cómo Baalax Gaming lo vive con tanta pasión.
