Tennessee Titans 2026 Primer: Franchise Cornerstones, Cut Candidates, Biggest Needs & Asset Update

Who do the Tennessee Titans need to build around? What players do they need to get rid of? What are their biggest needs? And how do they fix them? I’m going to answer all of that as we look ahead to 2026 on today’s edition of Locked on Titans. You are Locked On Titans, your daily Tennessee Titans podcast, part of the Locked On Network. We got half of a season of football games remaining. We’re going to focus on the football. So, as we have this little break ending, it’s time to take a look ahead at the Hope in the future ahead this off seasonason. I’m going to tell you who the Tennessee Titans need to keep and build around. Talk about which players they need to get rid of like Legarius. Also, we’re going to talk about what needs will be there for the Titans. And I’m going to go over what draft picks and cap space they have so they can fix those. Before we dive in, do want to thank you for making Locked on Titans your first listen each and every day. Remember, Monday through Friday, Tennessee Titans content all year round, always for free. So, make sure you stay locked in with Locked on Titans. But with that being said, we do got to start by taking a look at who the Tennessee Titans are going to build around. And obviously, as Mike Waranszi was saying last week in his press conference, Cam Ward and Jeffrey Simmons are the number one cornerstones for this team. Now, Jeffrey Simmons obviously could potentially be traded in the offseason, but it doesn’t sound like the Tennessee Titans want to do that, at least what they’re publicly saying. But from from a base standpoint, from this discussion standpoint, we know that Cam Ward on offense, the quarterback of the team, is the foundational piece. We know that Jeffrey Simmons, a allp prolevel interior defensive lineman, is absolutely something that you can build a defense around. I do want to say this though, while we’re here with Cam Ward, I would still take Cam Ward number one in the draft. And I know a lot of people feel differently about that now or want to change their mind after, you know, nine games, 10 weeks, all of that. And you’re perfectly fine to do that. But at the end of the day, I think Jackson Dart has had good moments, but I don’t think that Jackson Dart has played incredible football. He’s missed throws. He’s had turnovers. His team hasn’t done uh some incredible feat here where it’s supposed to be like Jaden Daniels last year or Bo Knicks last year and I’m supposed to feel like the Titans missed out on this obvious awesome guy. Like I feel like anybody act acting like Jackson Dart has clearly proven that he is the guy and going to be, you know, what the Titans should have taken at number one overall, you’re being just as disingenuous as anybody who tries to act like they know for certain that Cam Ward was the right pick. You can’t know that right now. And I’m sorry, but Jackson Dart hasn’t done anything to make me think, oh, you know, they should have taken him over Cam Ward. If anything, if you wanted to push back at all, the answer would have been trade down with the Giants, take Abdul Carter in the picks, which is what I was advocating for throughout the draft process. Now, as I said then, if the Titans are going to take a quarterback, and if they believe in one of these quarterbacks, then I’m going to support and believe in that quarterback as well as a fan of the team. That’s what I’m going to do until it’s blatantly obvious that that guy isn’t the answer, I’m going to ride with that guy. And I feel like that is exactly what I’ve done. But now that we’re into the season and we’ve seen football games, I’m sorry. But if you think that Cam Ward was a mistake, the answer isn’t Jackson Dart. He hasn’t proven that at all. I’m not I don’t have any convincing feelings about that. And on the other side of it, Abdul Carter has been while not incredible in the box score, he’s been far and above better than any of the other edge rushers out there. So, you know, a lot of other top edge rushers got hurt and things like that. It’s just I don’t think that you could say that the Titans made a mistake taking Cam Warden. I don’t believe that at all, especially considering the environment around him, which is funny because as we go through these building blocks off of Cam Ward on the offensive side of the ball, it’s like obvious how few there actually are. I think Taj Spears will be around next year. I wouldn’t consider him a building block though. I don’t I don’t I wouldn’t say that. Now, Chim DK as a returner and a utility wide receiver. Ellio Manor as a starting wide receiver for the Titans, although I don’t think he’s a number one. I think those are guys that you can build around. You can start to build around. They aren’t the cornerstones like Cam Ward and Jeffrey Simmons, but those are building blocks for the team. I think the offensive line is mostly set if I’m honest with you. I don’t think the Titans are going to make any drastic changes on the offensive line. You have Dan Moore at left tackle. I wouldn’t say he’s a a a cornerstone or a major building block, but he can solidify in that spot for another season and then evaluate after. Peter Scaransky at left guard. Absolutely. a building block, a cornerstone player that they can build the offensive line around. We’ll talk more about Pete as we get into the financial sections, but I expect Peter Scaransky to be getting a contract extension this off season. Cushenberry, we’ll talk about why. I know that Cushenberry has had moments where he hasn’t played that well this year, but he’s coming directly off an Achilles tail. You know that guys are always better in that second season after a major injury like that. Plus the financial situation, I don’t think you can really move on from Cushenberry. So, I think he’s set now. Right guard, I don’t think Kevin Zitler will be back. He’s 35 years old. He was on a one-year deal. Anyways, I’m not expecting Kevin Zitler to be back. Will that be Slater, Jackson Slater, the rookie? Will the Titans look to veteran free agency to fill that spot? That’ll be an interesting discussion, but we don’t really have an answer at right guard now. Then JC Laam, despite having some poor performances coming directly off of his injury this year, I think Laam has settled in, played some good football, he’s clearly a building block and a cornerstone player for the Titans. So Cam Ward, Peter Scaransky, JC Laam, those are the only like cornerstones I would say that the Titans have on offense right now. But Elliio Manor, Chim DK, I think those guys can absolutely be counted as building blocks for the future with the offensive line mostly intact in my opinion going forward. We’ll talk about why here in just a moment. But on defense, we talked about Jeffrey Simmons. That’s a real foundational cornerstone. Jeff, I would say Tavandre Sweat is a building block, too. I I w I was surprised by the amount of trade speculation about Tavandre Sweat, but as we have walked away from the trade deadline, in my opinion, I would say that most of that was other teams calling the Titans about Tavandre Sweat and Tavandre and the other teams were the ones who were putting those rumors out. I actually don’t believe that it was the Titans purposefully to drive up the price on Tavandre Sweat to try to get an offer that they would be happy with. I don’t think that’s what happened. I think teams were calling about Tavandre Sweat and teams were trying to get the Titans to be interested in getting rid of him. Um, but I think whether one of those two guys is traded in the off season, I still think right now as we’re looking at them without knowing what the trades are that Sweat is a building block and Simmons is truly a cornerstone. Femi is a building block, not unlike Ellio Manor on the offensive side of the ball. I’m not convinced that Fei is a cornerstone player that you got to build the defensive around. I don’t think that’s going to be the case. I think that was never expected to be the case quite honestly, but I I would say Fei is a building block at minimum. You have Cedric Gray, you have James Williams at linebacker. James Williams isn’t a building block or a cornerstone, but he’s a player they should keep around. Cedric Gray is a building block. I wouldn’t say he’s a good enough player to be a cornerstone franchise foundational player, but he’s certainly a building block. I think Cody Barton will still be around if I’m honest with you. Marcus Harris at cornerback. I can’t put him in any category right now other than we’ll see. And then you’ll have Kevin Winston, you’ll have Ammani Hooker at safety. We know that for next year. Hooker at this point is kind of fallen off the map. I wouldn’t consider him any of those uh at this point. I think next year will be his last year with the Titans. Uh his play has fallen off. Kevin Winston, I think, can be a cornerstone player. Not just a building block, but a cornerstone player. I’m still very high on Kevin Winston as a player. So, that’s really where the Titans are at. I don’t think either the kicker or punter is a shoein to be back next year. So, you know, those are the players that I think realistically we know are going to be around for the Titans. like those are the only players that I know for certain are going to be around because the Tennessee Titans are going to have to cut some players. The Tennessee Titans are going to get rid of some players. You don’t keep all your players from a bad football team and that is going to create some potential needs for the Titans as well. So, now that we know who the Titans are going to keep around, who they can build around for right now, we need to talk about who the Titans need to get rid of, the fat that they can trim off of this roster, the money that that will save on guys like Legarius Sneed, Calvin Ridley, all these different options, but the reality is a lot of these guys that you may want to cut and get rid of, financially, it just doesn’t make a lot of sense. So, we’ll talk about that and we’ll wrap up the discussion today talking about what draft picks the Titans have, what salary cap the Titans have, and the biggest needs remaining for them as well. [Music] Titans fans, let’s continue today’s edition of the Locked on Titans podcast. Do want to thank you for making Locked on Titans your first listen and thank you for making Locked on Podcast Network the number one sports network. With that being said, we are doing our 2026 look ahead here as we move out of the bye-week. We talked about the players the Titans are going to keep and the cornerstones that they’re going to build around. And that means we got to talk about the players that the Tennessee Titans need to get rid of and what the financial ramifications of that would actually be. We start with how much cap space the Tennessee Titans actually have right now projected. And right now it depends on the site. You go to Over the Cap, you go to Spottrack. Those are the two more famous salary cap sites. But either way, they’re off by a couple of million. So we’re in the ballpark no matter what you want to go off with. I looked at over the cap and it says the Tennessee Titans are projected right now to have $83 million in salary cap space. And I am here to tell you that I think that figure could get up to as much as 105 $110 million before the Titans resign their own players or do extensions and things like that. But looking at the list, so let’s just go through it. We start on the offensive side of the ball. I think Tony Pard is an absolute dead nuts cut. You are cutting Tony Pard. He’s gonna have a $9.2 million cap hit next season. If you cut him, you’re gonna save seven and a4 million dollars. You’re only going to have $2 million in dead money. So, I think at that point in time, the way that Tony Pard is run, look, I am not here to tell you. I know some of you guys are very insens right now, like Tony Pard, why are we Tony Pard is a solid runner, okay? He’s totally mid. All right? He runs hard. He has some vision. He still has some cuts. He’s not washed. He’s not terrible. Blah blah blah. Things like that. But the Titans have turned Tony Pard into a Bellcow powerback. That’s how they’re using Tony Pard. That’s how they used him last year, a Bellcow powerback. And a lot of that has to do with Taj Spears being out of the equation with injury and inconsistency and all that. And the Titans, for some reason, not taking seriously their running back three spot. They just haven’t done it. And they keep bringing Julius Chestnut in the fold who’s terrible and they need to go out and get a serious running back three. Cal Mullig has been hurt, but he’s an RB4 at this point as a special teams only player. Like I just don’t whatever. That’s a different rant for a different day. But the point is Tony Pard does not have the same juice. The Titans need much more juice than what Tony Pard can provide at the running back spot right now or they need to not pay as much. Okay. So, I think Tony Pard is an obvious cut candidate. The Titans move on. You use Taj Spears more often as the plan. You take running back more seriously as a depth issue. I think the Titans can go out and get a cheaper Tony Pard in the offseason. You don’t need to pay $9 million for it. So, I’m cutting Tony Pard. You move to Calvin Ridley. And listen, Calvin Ridley is a much more difficult conversation. He’s set to have a $26 million cap hit. That’s way too high for Calvin Ridley production at this point in time, his age. But if you cut him, it’s $16 million of dead money and you only save 10 million. If you do a post June 1st cut, which changes the math a little bit, it flips. You’re saving 16 million, but you have 10 million in dead money. And I gotta be honest, with the amount of savings that you could get there from Calvin Ridley and what the Titans currently have at wide receiver and the free agent pool at wide receiver, the best free agent wide receiver that likely could be available was like Romeo Dopps or Dantavian Wixs, one of those Packers guys. There not a great crop of free agent wide receivers. And even if you go look at free agency right now, most of those guys are going to resign with their teams. like free agency just is never as stacked as it looks and we don’t want the Titans going out and making a win now trade to get a good wide receiver and stuff like that. So, I think let’s see how Calvin Ridley ends the season here, but I think Calvin Ridley can have a good end of the season and I think the Tennessee Titans could bring Calvin Ridley back. Just swallow the medicine, understand that after that you can part ways and it won’t be that bad. But I don’t really see it. It’s on the line. I’m not as convinced that Calvin Ridley will be cut. Lloyd Kusheenberry. Again, I know he’s a guy who hasn’t played all that well, but like I said, I think Kush will be back and the problem is the finances. Lloyd Cushenberry is set to have a 12.5 million cap hit, but if they cut him, it’s 9 million and dead, and they only saved $3.4 million. Like, what are we doing there? We’re eating $9 million on the salary cap of the 12 million that Kush was going to make anyway just to save 3 million and then go find another starting center, which you’ll probably have to get in free agency. I don’t think that’s worth it. I could see like a baby restructure for Lloyd Cushenberry where they spread that out a little bit so he doesn’t have a 12 million or $12 million cap hit. It’s more of a $6 million cap hit. I could see a a smoothing of Lloyd Cushenberry’s contract, but I think Cushenberry will be back. I think the Titans should do that. Give him another opportunity. Don’t create another hole that you’re not going to h have the answer to. You know what I mean? After that, we move to defense because I don’t think they’re bringing Chicka Conquo back. Like maybe they bring a Van Jefferson back, something like that. Bryce Oliver, I’m not even factoring Bryce Oliver level players and like David Martin Robinson, like those guys aren’t guarantees to be around. We can’t act like that. Um, but we go to defense and you look at Cody Barton. So Kei Gone, Jiad Ward, maybe they bring him back, but again, that’s not what are we talking about here? A guy like Jaylen Harold is like a David Martin Robinson, Bryce Oliver guy, and I’m not even worried about them, you know, not a big enough impact. But Cody Barton is another problem. He’s a $ 8.2 million cap hit. $6.4 million in dead money. You’re barely saving anything. It’s 1.7 million at that point. And I know Cody Cody Barton hasn’t been good, but you’re going to cut him and save $1.7 million and just eat $6.5 million for it. That just doesn’t seem wise. You know, let Cody Barton stay around, bring in some more competition, draft a linebacker. You know, if the Titans get Avil Ree, for example, he could start at linebacker next to Cedric Gray. And then, you know, you have some depth. You have a veteran around. Averal Reese is going to move around to the edge and things like that, which Cody Barton could play some snaps at linebacker when a Ree is on the edge. Just things like that. You know what I mean? Just I wouldn’t move on from Cody Barton yet. He is a veteran. Let him be a leader. Just bring in more competition. You’re not getting enough financial value out of that. Ammani Hooker. I know that Ammani Hooker’s been terrible. I know that it was shock to some people when I said Ammani Hooker’s going to be around, but the reality is because the Titans just gave him an extension before the season, there’s no way they can move on from Ammani Hooker. He’s going to have a $12 million salary cap hit and it’s going to be $17 million in dead money if they cut him. They’re literally going to lose $5 million on top of his $12 million cap hit if they cut a Money Hooker. He’s going to be back next year. Legius Sneed, the moment you’ve been waiting for. $20 million cap hit. The Titans save 12 million if they cut him. They only eat 8 million in dead. He will be cut. Legious deed will be cut this off season. That’s cut and dry. That’s easy. I think they should trade Will Levis. You’re going to save $2 million and get $1 million in dead money if you do that. I think that’s the only logical way because if you cut him, you eat the 2 million and you only save a million. It doesn’t I mean, I guess it’s such a small thing. Whatever. doesn’t really matter, but I think they should trade him and I think they’ll have an opportunity to for a sixth round pick, something like that. Like I said earlier, extend Peter Scaransky. That’s that’s a move that the Titans need to make. Um won’t really affect the 2025 salary cap space too much because it’ll be an extension that’ll kick in in 2026. But either way, or kick in 2027 and happen 2026 living in the next year, Tyler, but I think those are the players that will likely be cut. Tony Pard, Legarius Sneed, Xavier Woods also $5 million cap hit, $1 million in dead money, $4 million saved. He’ll be cut as well. Um, but if the Titans just want depth, he’s not so expensive that you have to do it. But Kevin Winston and Ammani Hooker will be the starting safeties next year. But Xavier Woods could be a guy like Cody Barton, who the Titans just keep around for depth purposes. He’s not a terrible player by any means, and he’s a veteran leader who will do the job and be a good professional. But I think you’re definitely cutting Tony Pard. You’re definitely cutting Legius Sneed. And we’ll see about Calvin Ridley and Xavier Woods. I think those are interesting cases. But now we have cut some players. We know who we’re keeping around to build around. What are the biggest needs remaining? How can the Titans fix them? We’ll go over that right now. do want to let you guys know that today’s episode is brought to you by FanDuel Sportsbook. Make sure you get subscribed, stay subscribed. It’s your team every day. With that being said though, the Titans right now have some major needs based on what we’ve talked about. They need a backup quarterback. They’re going to need at least one running back, probably two, a starting level running back and a good depth running back. They need at least two wide receivers because they’re going to have Chim DK. They’re going to have Ellio Manor. They’ll probably bring back Bryce Oliver, Van Jefferson, something like that. They’re going to need two more wide receivers. They’re going to need another tight end to go with Gunner Helm. Gunner Helm is a a building block. I can’t believe I forgot him. You guys are going to crush me for that. Geh, what a mistake. Gunner Helm, how could I leave you out, man? I’m so sorry, my guy. Nightmare on Helm Street. Um, anyway, forgive me, folks, for that omission. We got it eventually, right? But they’re going to need one tight end to pair with Gunner Helm. I would like that to see more of a bigger uh veteran tight end. They’re going to need a starting right guard. Maybe Jackson Slater can move into that role, but I’m not certain. I would keep developing Slater with the goal of maybe him taking over for Cushingberry in 2027. I would go out in veteran free agency and spend quite a bit of money at right guard. That’s what I would do if I were the Titans. They’re going to need two, maybe three edge rushers. At this point, you have Femi and then nothing else that you could really rely on. So, two at least for your primary rotation, three for uh good depth. Uh they’re going to need one linebacker at least. I think they keep the two young guys in Barton. So, they’re going to need one linebacker. Would like to see a linebacker who’s capable of competing for the starting spot. They’re going to need three quarterbacks at minimum. Three quarterbacks if we’re talking about I mean, they’re going to need more than that. You’re going to need a 53man roster in a practice squad. they’re going to have to use all that depth. But if we’re talking about the players that they’ll actually need to play, like from a general standpoint, if injuries were off, I guess they need at least at least three quarterbacks, two safeties to go behind Winston and Hooker, a kicker, and a punter most likely. But I’ll tell you, wide receiver, edge, cornerback, guard, running back, those are the five biggest needs that the Titans have in my opinion. Like just from a roster standpoint, a talent standpoint, massive needs. The talent, if we did just a pure the Titans need talent, the needs are a little different, but from a roster standpoint, like they’re going to have to add guys. Those are the biggest needs by far. But the good news is the Titans have a ton of assets. We talked earlier about having $83 million in salary cap space. If the Titans save 7 million from cut cutting Tony Pard 7 and a half and they save 12 million from cutting Legius Sneed, that’s almost another 20 million. You’re up tound $103 million of salary cap space. You trade Will Levis, that’s 105. I I mean that’s a lot of cap space. you I mean you bring back a couple of guys, resign a Sebastian Joseph Day, you know what I mean? Resign I don’t know. I don’t even want to resign anybody. I don’t want Brandon Allen back or any of these guys, you know, resign Van Jefferson. You you resign Sebastian Joseph Day. Moves like that. You resign Daryl Baker, for example. you make moves like that, you’re probably still around 90 $95 million in cap space or at least back down to the 85 where you basically started. That’s so much cap space to work with. But here’s the I here’s the reality. I don’t think the Titans are going to use a ton of that. Did you know you can use rollover cap space in the NFL? Like rollover minutes like you used to have on your cell phone plan. If you don’t know what I’m talking about or that sounds foreign to you, I’m aging myself. Uncle Tai back at it again. But you can roll over cap space and this is not a good free agent class. I think the Titans could spend a decent money at right guard, maybe get a decent edge, get a decent veteran quarterback, but I don’t think the Titans need to be going out there and spending all their money. Like, you don’t do that and succeed. We just tried that and now we’re looking to cut Ridley and cut Sneed and Kush isn’t playing well and like we don’t need to do that. You know what I mean? That doesn’t work very often. They got to draft and develop and it’s going to take some patience. But you supplement with free agency and I think they’ll give out one big deal and it should probably be on the offensive line again and just keep trying and throwing all your assets at that. That’s what I would do. But then we get to the draft. Right now the Titans have a first, they have a second, they have a third, they have a fourth, they have two fifths, two sixth, and a seventh. That’s nine picks right now for the Titans. Again, first, second, third, and fourth are all their own. They got their fifth back from the Rams and the pick swap with Roger McCreary. They got a fifth from the Ravens right now. That’s a conditional fifth round pick that could be a fourth. They have a sixth round pick which is their own. They have a sixthround pick which they got in the Jarvis Brownley Jr. pick swap. And then they have their own seventh. So the Titans have nine picks. They have $80 million at minimum in cap space. They have a lot of needs, but they have some building block players and they have some players that they need to get rid of as well. But it’s not going to happen overnight. The Titans need to hit in the draft. That would be the number one thing. And if they can get a trade down at the beginning of the draft because they have a top pick and they can get an extra first round pick this year and an extra third round pick. Imagine if the Titans got if the Titans moved to like fourth or fifth, got an extra first round pick this year from one of the teams that has multiple or got a first round pick next year in a drafted or 2027 which is supposed to be an incredible draft and got an extra third round pick this year. You know, two first and a third, move back four spots, stay in the top five, top six, something like that. That would be an incredible trade for the Titans and would allow them to make some um some pretty big additions. You know what I mean? So, that’s what you have to hope for. But that is we got football left, folks, and we got half of a football season and I am going to enjoy it. Okay, I’m going to talk about the football. I think the Titans will get two more wins this year and we’re going to talk about how many more wins I think the Titans will get. We’re going to do a rookie report card and grade how the rookies have done in the draft class as well. So, a lot of content coming your way. And then, you know, Thursday’s show will be crossover Thursday. We’ll be right back as the Tennessee Titans come out of the buy with a big-time game. So, with that being said, that’s going to do it for me today, folks. As always, I am your host, Tyler Roland, and this was Locked on Titan. [Music]

The Tennessee Titans have mostly sold on their 2025 season, but the future is what can bring Titans fans hope. What does that future look like? The Titans need to identify who they can build around like Cam Ward, Jeffery Simmons and Peter Skoronski, but they also need to figure out who is NOT a part of the future like L’Jarius Sneed and Tony Pollard. The Titans can then focus on their biggest needs which remain at edge, wide receiver and now, cornerback. This calculation will then allow the Titans to use their wealth of assets which consist of nine draft picks and what could be over $100 million in cap space. Tyler breaks down every aspect of the Titans offseason ahead from a roster standpoint as we exit the bye week.

  1. I think they should keep cushenberry, after coming back from the injury hes still working thru that, he was never gonna be the same this season. but next season hopefully he can get back to the way he was. regardless hes still not bad this year

  2. Edge and WR need to be priority in the early rounds of the draft.
Look at RB CB in the mid rounds.

Hopefully we trade down, but not too far so we are able to get one of Arvell Reese, Rueben Bain, Jordyn Tyson or Carnell Tate.

But I would really want to go edge in the high first round as I think there will be good WR options at the top of the second rd and also the option of trading back into the first to take a WR if one of Tyson or Tate drop a little. Not high on Makai Lemon, small while not being incredibally athletic and plays out of the slot alot let Dike run in the slot and we get a better outside guy that Ayo can back up.

  3. Watched the Browns lose to the Jets. God awful performance by Browns special teams. The first overall draft pick in 2026 is there for the taking, just keep the Titan tank rolling. Think of all the draft capital that will be accrued after trading back in the 1st round.

  4. You’re the same guy who wants Mike McCarthy as our head coach, right? Please tell me why? What has the man accomplished except the Super Bowl win years ago when Aaron Rodgers was still a baby basically? Ask the Cowboys how he worked out for them. So what if he had 12 wins with them a couple of times. His time is over in the NFL is over, BOOK IT! You’re crazy if you want Mike McCarthy as our head coach. 4:32

  5. Well we are currently holding the number one pick due to the Saints win today. Now question. If and when we lose out and officially secure the 1st pick in the draft, what do you think we are going to do with it? We need SO MANY pieces.

  6. Bro you’re in flat out denial,
Jaxson Dart is having a better first NFL season than Cam Ward, according to performance, statistics, and analyst opinions. Dart has a winning record, more touchdowns, and has been praised for his leadership, while Ward has struggled with a poor record, turnovers, and an inability to consistently move the offense despite some flashes of potential…. This is the same guy who thought Callahan was the next big thing as a head coach and a number 2 receiver on some but a lot would be a #3 receiver was going to all of sudden be a #1 on this team. Go back when Brian Callahan and Ridley was signed and you will see I called BS on all of it and look I was 100% correct. I don’t understand how some of these guys landed these Pod Cast jobs and it’s not just this guy either but anyone can read from a script. I lost count on how many times this guy has been wrong 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  7. Fans saying draft another QB after Cam is one season in is the reason an organization will never hire them. Look at Drake Maye and Caleb Williams. They weren’t really that great in their rookie season and now look at them. Got better talent and a better staff. Same thing can happen to Cam too.
