We’ve All Been WAITING For This…
Nico Harrison’s days are numbered as the Dallas Mavericks are three and seven through their first 10 games of the season where they actually just got their third win last night against the Washington Wizards. And in my postgame video, I try to stay positive, try to find something good that we can take away from that game that’s changing for this team that will hopefully carry forward as we continue through this season. But a lot of you guys were quick to point out in the comments section that it just doesn’t matter. It was the Washington Wizards. We weren’t supposed to lose to them last week. We were supposed to beat them this week. So, this win really didn’t prove anything, especially when the Dallas Mavericks had the lead, lost the lead, and had to fight to get that lead back and not lose it at the last second of the game. So, there really wasn’t much to take away from that other than the Dallas Mavericks got lucky. But the common denominator amongst all the issues that is plaguing the Dallas Mavericks, from not being able to play winning basketball to players still getting injured, is Nico Harrison. And it is being noticed by the people higher up as many sources, including my own personal sources, have all corroborated that Nico Harrison’s days are numbered. Patrick Dumont is fed up with the losing. Everyone’s pointing fingers at Nico within the organization, and everybody knows that he has to go. So, in this video, we’re going to take a look at who’s speaking about Nico Harrison, who says he has to go, when will it happen, and how will this fix the Dallas Mavericks? But how’s it going everybody? My name is Marcel Martin. This is Maverick’s Digest, bringing you the latest news on everything Maverick related. And before we get started with today’s video, we’re currently sitting at 22,585 subscribers. We are growing by the day. But if you want to be a part of one of the best platforms for your favorite Mavericks content, make sure you subscribe. We’re going we are going to be going over everything this season from trade talks, rumor talks, Nico getting fired, Dwight Pal getting a statue, and if you want and if you want to be a part of all of that, make sure you subscribe. But the Dallas Mavericks are off to a pretty rocky start. Things just don’t seem to be going well for the Dallas Mavericks. And yes, we did beat the Washington Wizards last night, but I feel like a lot of Mavericks fans were actually hoping for a loss. The Dallas Mavericks before going into last night’s game were two- seven on the season. Only two wins through the first nine games. We’ve played some pretty easy teams that we should have got a win and it just didn’t happen. And when we look at the strength of our schedule, the easiest part of our schedule is the first half. And for all those people that are saying just wait for Kyrie to return, just wait for Anthony Davis to return. They will most likely return when the season is actually harder, meaning these games are only going to get that much harder for us to win. And if we can’t win the easy games, what makes you think we can win the tough games toward the end of the season? And the Dallas Mavericks are in a very, very interesting spot. But like I said, a lot of Mavericks fans were hoping that we were going to lose last night because every loss means we are getting closer to Nico being fired. But this tweet right here really does sum it up for everybody last night. So he said, “What a horrible win. We were so close to Nico being fired tomorrow.” No, I don’t think Nico would have been fired today. But like I said, every loss that the Dallas Mavericks has moves us one day closer to Nico getting fired. And I truly do believe that that will happen as long as this Dallas Mavericks team continues to look like the way it’s been looking. If we start racking up some wins, then maybe he’ll survive the season. But if the Dallas Mavericks continue to being the bottom feeder of the league, going from the finals two years ago to now being at the very bottom, then there’s no point in keeping Nico Harrison. His vision of defense wins championships has failed. And yeah, we may have a top 10 defense, but we sacrifice all of our offense for it, and that’s why we can’t win games. Nico Harrison tried to sell us on this dream of winning now, we can barely win more than three games right now. So, Nico Harrison has yet to really really make good on any of the promises that he’s given us so far. And yes, we’re only about an eighth of the way through the season, but what happens when we’re 20 games in or 30 games in and things still look this way? A change has to come. And I truly do believe it will. But if we’re being honest with ourselves, Nico Harrison has made a lot of good moves. If we’re just being completely honest, he brought in Kyrie Irving. He got his Daniel Gaffford, got PJ Washington, he draft, well, he tra drafted and traded for Derek Lively. And of course with the number one pick, no-brainer, you did pick Cooper Flag. So, there are good things that Nico Harrison was able to do. But there is still a list of things that he did wrong. And just a few right here. Nico Harrison’s career failed Nike’s pitch to Steph Curry. It was botched. It was completely horrible. Got his name wrong. horrible. He let Jaylen Brunson walk. I think him and Mark Cuban both have something to do with this. That whole situation was very, very tricky. I know his dad was involved. Some inside collusion with the Knicks. It was very weird. But then, of course, traded away Luca Donic. Might be an actual terrorist. Now, yes, Nico Harrison again has done some good things, but the bad definitely outweighs the good. But like I said, I don’t think that Nico Harrison will be here for much longer as reports have been flooding left, right, and center. Uh, Legion Hoop tweeted out saying, “Nico Harrison’s job security may be in serious jeopardy.” Per McMahon who said, “When I say big changes might be coming, legitimate question right now is whether Nico Harrison’s job is in serious jeopardy. When you talk to people about the Mavericks around the league, it is the first question that people are asking.” And I think that is also a no-brainer. The GM who made one of the biggest trades in basketball history, trading away Luca Donic for an injury-prone Anthony Davis and a soontobe superstar Max Christie. when you make that trade and you go out and you lose the rest of the season where you get the number one pick and then you start the next season losing out games where you’re three and seven, losing to the Pelicans and the Wizards both within the first 10 games. Yeah, a lot of people are going to be wondering, hey, is he going to have a job? Is he still going to be here? McMahon is very plugged in. He has very reliable sources, but he isn’t the only one with sources. as we also got another quote that corroborates that. Bobby Carala just went on the DLS Mavs and said he’s been getting texts suggesting that Dumont might be forced to do something. So, not only do do people around the league wonder if Nico is going to be here much longer if hey, how does this GM still have a job, but also he’s getting texts suggesting that Dumont might be forced to do something. Now, one thing we have to understand is that Patrick Deont as the governor and then Miriam Alson as the owner, two roles completely different. It wasn’t Patrick’s money that bought the team. He’s just the the governor. He’s the one in charge, I guess. But Patrick Deont and Miriam Allison, they put money into this. Regardless if they’re multi-billionaires, they still spent a good bit of billions of dollars to buy this team. And if the success of this team does not reflect in their pockets, meaning if they’re losing money, if their ticket sales are down, if their jersey sales are down, if we lose nally televised games, which we already barely have any, well, we we have a good bit because of Cooper Flag, but if we lose those because of just poor turnouts and no one cares, that’s going to affect their wallets. I know a lot of Mavericks fans out there are already in doing their own form of protest by not giving any money to the organization. Keep it up. I support it. But doing that and having that being a factor to the owners, yeah, they’re probably gonna be forced to make a move. If Nico Harrison is the common denominator on why we can’t win games, on why they’re not making money, on why no one really likes the Dallas Mavericks, and yeah, you got to get rid of the man who is the root cause of all of this, but not only are we hearing sources, I’m sorry, not only are we hearing things from reliable sources like McMahon or like Bobby Carwam, I myself had to spin the block on my own sources like, “Hey, I’m hearing some things about Nico Harrison.” like what are you guys hearing in the front office? And a few people that I know that work for the Dallas Mavericks have all kind of said more or less the same thing. And you can quote me on this. If I’m right, I’m right. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong. But he ain’t making it to Christmas. Not saying that there is a date that things need to turn around in order for him to keep his job. But if the Dallas Mavericks continue to lose games, if the Dallas Mavericks as an organization continues to fail to generate money, then yes, they’re probably going to fire Nico Harrison before Christmas, before the end of the year, most likely January 1st, 2026. Nico Harrison will not be the GM of the Dallas Mavericks if things continue the way that they are. A lot of people that work for the organization have told me that the fingers are being pointed at Nico Harrison. From assistants in the GM offices, from from interns, from people that are in the training and medical staff all tell me that Nico Harrison is literally the scapegoat. He is the one that everyone is blaming. When injuries happen, they look at Nico. When games are lost, they look at Nico. And we are losing two bad teams. They are looking at Nico Harrison because he is solely responsible for putting everything in place from from the entire makeup of this organization from players to staff to coaches. It’s all Nico Harrison. And if it doesn’t work, he’s to blame. But the opposite can be said that will be true. If everything does work out, then I yeah, I guess Nico gets credit for it. But we’re not in that timeline. We’re in the timeline where things suck. They don’t work. Everything’s falling apart. And honestly, a rebuild would probably be best, but a rebuild without Nico Harrison. If you’re going to sell the farm, get rid of the farmer, too, because the farm is failing because the farmer sucks. And if you want to get a real idea of what it looks like as far as a timeline for Nico Harrison, just look at the next six games. We take a look right here. We play the Bucks tomorrow and then the Suns on Wednesday, then the Clippers on Friday, and then the Blazers on Sunday, and then the following Monday we play the Timberwolves, and after that, we play the Knicks. Those are five scheduled losses. Maybe we beat the Trailblazers. They’ve actually been playing very good this year. A Drew Holiday has turned back the clock and their young core is actually doing something good. The Suns, they’re doing fairly decent. So, the Clippers. So, yeah. So, you can count six straight losses unless something crazy happens like injuries or another 30 bomb from Naji Marshall off the bench. But I wouldn’t be surprised if within these six games or at the end of these six straight losses that yeah, Nico does get fired. Imagine the Dallas Mavericks are now three and 13 before Thanksgiving. That does not sound like a successful a successful franchise. And that sounds like someone needs to be fired. Whether that be Nico, whether that be Jason Kidd, the coaches, whether you just do a clean slate, just wipe the slate clean, get rid of everybody, you trade away players, and you start fresh. But a change is going to come because there’s no way that this team will be three and 13 and things just don’t change. Things stay the same. Makes absolutely no sense. But let me know what you think in the comments section down below. Do you think that Nico will be fired before the end of the year or do you think Nico will somehow squeak on by by the end of this season and he’s still going to be our GM? Let me know what you think in the comments section down below. We could have a conversation about it. But that’s all I got for you guys today. Thank you for watching the video. Make sure to check out our Twitter and Discord links in the description below. And as always, y’all take care. Drink water. Peace.

Black man calling for Black man being fired is crazy. Luka gone get over it. Hes a first time With this job.
Solution: move the team to vegas thereby firing the podcasters that eat off an organizations hard work. Be lucky u got a team to root for. Everyone on the team is an nba paid player. I expect a win no matter who suits up.
Mavs fans are so clueless 😂.. Nico isn't the problem it's the owners of the Mavs, they are the reason behind the Luka trade, Nico is just the fall guy, it's a reason he hasn't been fired.. Nico is just doing what he was told..
Fire Nico?? Not until he pisses away Gafford to the Lakers. Lol. Nico can't get fired by new owners if he does it only confirms what the whole world already knows that points 100% responsibility to Owner, Nico & Kidd. And remember we know Kidd got his extension, Irving got his, AD got his, I assure you Nico got his. For these clowns its not about winning, the Mavs and certainly not us fans. Heck they evened screwed up Flagg by what everyone in the world knew he is NOT Luka so your experiment to make him our point that blew up in your face too. Facts AD won't stay healthy, Irving will miss games and we hope he doesn't choke when he gets to the finals if we ever do like he did against Celtics. Think I'm wrong 1st go look at the total of games played & missed over both AD & Irvings careers how many years did they play just the mandatory 65 games to earn awards? 2nd which no one ever talked about was his stats in the 5 game finals against the Celtics after playing All World in the playoffs that year. Outstanding to Flop. Yes Luka was terrible too but he was playing on one leg which if switched to AD he wouldn't have even suited up. But the icing on the cake was they all got massive contract extensions including Kidd. And if we had won that ring no way in hell could Nico have traded Luka. Follow the dollar. Karma is tough.
Head Coaches impact team performance more than stupid GMs.
I really think all we need is Kyrie. If they wanted to fire Nico they should’ve done that after the trade. To do it now when we haven’t had the chance to see what our full team looks like isn’t fair. Maybe there’s behind the scenes stuff that we don’t know but other than that let’s see what it looks like when we have our All-NBA PG back on the floor.
even nico dont like to trade luka💯✅️
Once again it needs to be said that the Mavs YouTubers are the greatest! I’m here cause of the trade. I stay because of the coverage. In a perfect world all of them would move to LA and cover my teams. 😊
What y'all think about this trade Klay Thompson and Daniel Gafford for Tyler Herro
I love the way Moussa Cisse runs the floor opening up the lane for B Will and Cooper Flagg a couple times looked really Good he is raw but I feel he will be a good piece to be signed in Dwight Powell place.
Fire Nico. But it still won't bring back Luka. And I have a feeling that Kidd will go before Nico.
I dont think anything changes, regardles of how bad things are. They have an excuse – Ky is hurt. Theyre gonna ride it out till the end of the season. Fact that its not true changes little. If Patrick Dumont says Nico was wrong it would mean he was wrong too. So no nothing changes till the end of season. When it all crashes theyre all gone, but itll take some time.
Honestly this upcoming 4 game homestand will determine his fate imo
I think Jason Kidd will be fired before Nico Harrison. I'll give Jason Kidd maybe 20 more games max. If they don't at least win 7 more games out of the next 20 and make it to 10 wins, Jason Kidd is gone.
Nico is not going anywhere. NICO just did what the owner told him to do. Trading Luka was Patrick idea. If it was Nico idea he would have been gone a long time ago. Dude we have no stars playing therefore Nico is safe. So stop y talking about because you make yourself look stupid. Dude you are 10 games in you are implementing a rookie its a new offense and your stars are out. It takes 20 games if you were put in a new offense. And and a rookie who is learning the the game. It takes time
If you keep pushing they are going to trade Cooper think about it. He is your only valuable trade ascent right now . So if any mood comes Cooper Flagg is going to be it. Nico is not going anywhere when your stars out so stop being a dumb dumb
Cannot trade AD or Kyrie when their hurt dummy
You don't 3-7 dummy
You evidently don't know how the NBA works
Fire Adam Silver, not NH.
You think he makes it to Thanksgiving ?
How about putting some of the blame on Jason Kidd.. Niko gave him a damn good roster even with ad out.. Niko can’t coach the team also.. Luka covered up some flaws of Jason Kidd being coach.. what idiot plays cooper Flagg at point as a rookie??
There no flow to their offense.. it looks like five rec players that just met each other and all they run is high pick and rolls all game🤦🏼♂️
Stop talking about Luka .. he has been gone for 8 months.. he wouldn’t stay in shape or play defense in Dallas.. that’s not nikos fault
Keep losing so you can be in the lottery again !!!
But the damage is already done
I am composing Marcel's Theme, punctuated by the screams of Marcel Martin
I certainly don't know what went on with the disastrous trade, but Nico did get people around Luca. Against Boston, nobody showed up to help. They needed a little more time. Then just throw the baby out with the bathwater? The million dollar question is why are they in a dispute with the AAC?
How about holding Jason Kidd responsible for misusing Cooper Flagg?
I hope that Nico on his way out the door, trades PJ, Gafford, or Flagg for Bronny James.
How does firing nico fix our problems??? He's not the one starting players out of position or calling plays. He's not the one starting guys who should be coming off the bench. When he got Irving, Washington and Gafford he's the best. Traded luka fire him. Got number 1 pick He's playing chess. When healthy and playing good thanks nico. When we're not fire nico not kidd. Kidd is a great players coach but terrible coach without a luka or Kyrie to hide his flaws. Rick Carlisle did more with less then kidd ever did. coaching is the problem not the person giving you one of the best rosters we've ever had.
Theyre not gonna fire anyone until they see what it looks like with everyone on the court .. period
Nico put himself into a corner no team will want him now their fan base will freak out
I have a question how is a GM trading a player and then him getting fired five months later because of that reason how is that not investigated?
I really liked your show but the fire Nico thing lame. It seems like Kids did is prob to me!! Kidd decided to to play a pg
Fire Nico
The plan is going well….Mavs keep tanking and owners can move the team to Vegas. Oh what webs were weaved!
