Guardians Pitchers Luis Ortiz, Emmanuel Clase INDICTED in MLB GAMBLING SCANDAL! Ortiz ARRESTED!

[Music] You’re tuning into Black and White Sports on YouTube. The No Holds Bar Truth on Sports. The main event starts now. Well, black and white sports fans, I told you guys that the NBA was not the only league. I told you guys that the NFL was not the only league. I told you guys that NCAA basketball were not the only ones. Folks, we got some big news here. And this is Major League Baseball. Now, Rose, throughout the history of Major League Baseball, man, there’s been some big time scandals, right? Sure has. When it comes to um gambling, well, throwing games, there was a legendary ball player by the name of Pete Rose that for years and years was not in the Hall of Fame. Some some argue he’s a top five player ever. No doubt about it. Because of betting on baseball. Yeah. Yeah. Um th this is some big news here. I don’t know all the details of it, man. I literally when you sent when you sent it to me, I was like, “Oh, this couple of pictures here.” Yes, they have been um put on extended leave now for the involvement in this. Now, is this tied to the mob? Possibly. I That was my first thought. I was like that I I was like they were arrested in Brooklyn or they indicted them in Brooklyn. So I think that’s what it said. We’ll get to the story. But my first thought was is the mafia involved in this? Is the involved in this? Yeah. Uh let’s look at this here. This is just breaking. Also, by the way, Paul Taglibu passed away. Yeah. Now, now this story is an older story. Okay? The story you’re looking at right here, look, look, that’s why I sent it to you. MLB had put these two on a leave on a leave earlier. I didn’t either. So, they put them on a leak. So, that tells me Rob Manford was smelling something already or somebody gave him a heads up something was happening. Wow. involving these two. So, we’re going to have to get an explanation as to, okay, what all did it the did Major League Baseball already know about? Hm. You know, because I was like, oh, when I started looking, I was trying to find a full story to go with what just broke. And I found that. I was like, oh, okay. Something was brewing. They knew something was brewing. Yeah. So right here, Jeff Passen breaking Cleveland Indians pitchers Emanuel Clay and Luis Ortiz have been indicted by prosecutors in Brooklyn on a host of charges related to a scheme to red bets on pitches thrown in MLB games. Yeah. Ortiz was arrested. Yeah. Yeah. In Boston earlier today. Uh Clay is not uh currently in custody. Yeah. Wow. And uh the real real Randy Quaid uh tads us both into this. Whoa. And and I’m wondering if I noticed both of these guys are Dominican Republic dudes and I don’t know if Case maybe is out of the country right now. I I you know we don’t we don’t know what that all this is new. All this is new. Yeah. So and it’s it’s just breaking. And in relation, let me just let me just read this to you. In relation to the prior story I sent you, Bob Nightingale of USA Today had reported that that quote there was considering evidence so far that MLB and the players union are expected to extend a suspension for Case and Ortiz through the end of the regular season. That was in regards to an investigation by Major League Baseball for unusual gambling activity for weeks involving these two. Really? So now it’s it’s it’s spread into a whole it it’s we’re we’re legal now. Uh okay. I got a a newer story right here. Oh, good. Good. Okay. Yeah. Indians pitchers Emanuel Clay and Luis Luis Ortiz. um uh indicted in a gambling scheme bombshell. Uh so they’re both from the Dominican. Yeah. Yeah. Well, that’s where they’re that’s that’s where they’re from. Oh, they’re both from there. So, his name is pronounced Emanuel Classy then. Anyway, yeah. Okay. Cleveland Indians pitchers Emanuel Classy and Luis Ortiz have been indicted in relation to a scheme to rid bets on pitches thrown during games. Ortiz um was arrested Sunday in Boston. Well, while uh Classy has not been arrested, the indictment says the pitchers agree in advance with their co-conspirators on specific uh pitches that they would uh throw in MLB games. And the co-conspirators then use that information to place hundreds of fraudulent bets on those pitchers. Wow. Okay. there. Somebody put out a compilation of one of these pictures and it’s just him throwing pitches straight into the damn dirt. Oh, we just saw that, RHS. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Right here. I mean, it was on Jeff Passen’s uh post underneath. Yeah. Yeah. It’s um it’s right here. Look, is this um this post right here? Yeah. Just just pitch after pitch straight in the dirt. Yeah. In the dirt. I mean, wow. Wow. That is unreal, man. That’s crazy. Absolutely unreal. Bonkers. Yeah. But but let’s go back over here. Okay. Yeah. Uh Classy, the uh Indians All-Star closer, agreed to begin rigging prop bets around May 20 May of 2023. and at times receive bribes and kit bats. Ortiz joined a scheme in June of this year per the indictment. They’re facing charges of uh wire fraud, conspiracy, honest services, uh wire fraud, conspiracy, conspiracy to influence uh sporting contest by bribery and money laundering conspiracy. Wow. And it does say they were placed on leave in um July. And they mentioned the um the NBA um gambling scheme too as well. Wow. Okay. And now Ortiz I I wanted to look this up because I was curious as you was talking about that he was only making $782,000 as his salary. Okay. which I I find is shocking uh in today’s MLB. But how did you pronounce the other guy’s name? Clay. Yeah, Clay. Uh he is making 4.9 million for his salary. So I was because when they said, “Well, there’s kickbacks happening here.” And I’m like, well, I I hope it’s a significant amount of kickbacks, you know, to forfeit that kind of because if you get caught, you’re screwed. But comparably speaking, that’s a lower salary for MLB. I mean, in a day, you know, I mean, especially 782,000 is peanuts. And I didn’t even I didn’t even I thought the league minimum was, you know, higher than that. Maybe it is. Maybe he just wasn’t on the squad. the entire year or something like that. I mean, I don’t And only one of them so far has been arrested as of now. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Man, this is bad. That’s Hey, hey, what what what do we say? What what’s been happening? All these all these sports leagues jumped straight into bed with DraftKings, FanDuel, Bed MGM, all these outfits about two years ago. And in that time span, we’ve had how many leagues with gambling scandals now? I mean, uh, NCAA basketball, NBA, a former NFL player linked to the NBA thing too as well. It’s bad, man. Uh, and you notice how many of them is around prop bets, things the players can control is the is the real real issue. Yeah. Yeah. And those pitchers, man, they control which uh pitches they actually throw. I mean, I can go out there and throw a pitch into the dirt. Yeah. Wow. So, anything else, roads? No. No. And and this won’t be the last either. Definitely not. Definitely not. Yeah. That’s going to wrap it up, guys. Right now, Roger Goodell has got to be sweating gargantuan amounts of bullets. He’s got to be. Yeah. Because the NFL, boy, that’s going to be the one. Yeah, it’s going to it’s going to be big, man. They’re going to be the next one to explode. We still don’t know that former NFL player involving the poker games with uh the NBA uh players. We don’t know who he is. Yeah. But trust me, when it comes to on the- field gambling with the NFL, Oh, that’s coming. That’s coming right there. Yeah. So, peace. We’re out. Till next time. Thanks for watching the show. 1. They turned sports into professional wrestling.
It's rigged and we know it.
With gambling legal and player prop bets so profitable there is corruption everywhere now.
On top of that you have the league having the refs control the game for profit now since they sponsor all these gambling sites.

  2. Don't be fooled; MLB and owners are very aware of the gambling; they are part of the Mafia; CJ Abrams got caught and was punished; Players that cannot pay their debts have to throw games for the Mafia to make back their debts

  3. My husband figured it out 20+ years ago when NFL mainstream channels ALL went to commercial breaks at the same time….how is that possible??? He knew it was rigged then…

  4. No different than gambling on the lottery…the PTB take all the winnings and leave little dollar trails for the idiots…nothing goes to the school systems…everything is a lie in this world

  5. Why do you think they keep expanding the MLB for new players???? International players are stupid to the US…those kids just want to play baseball…but they are OWNED….

  6. I still don't believe the Ohtani saga; His interpreter was the ponzy boy; You think Ohtani is not owned by his government? It's all a money flowing system; The most clean cut ones are usually the dirtiest…

  7. The rules don't apply to people who think they will never get caught.
Although gambling in sports as everyone knows is not new, the players were told they weren't allowed to gamble.
Temptation is a hard thing to fight when it is something players were likely involved in before it became legal.
I have watched games that pitchers looked like they were throwing paper balls into a wastebasket. I kept thinking that it looked weird.
So sad that players will throw away their careers on their unbelievable arrogance.
Emmanuel Clase is a closer who is loved by so many fans.
When the story first broke, it hurt a lot of fans. It is a disgrace. Their careers are in the toilet.
I agree. This story will not be the last . All narcissist think they are smarter than everyone else. 😔

  8. Betting on a team to win or cover the spread is one thing . But being able to bet on one single player to do or not do something is just inviting this mess to take over sports like the plague.

  9. Yep. Every sport, college and the pros. The leagues getting in bed with the gambling folks made this 100%. If they had brains in their heads, they would cut ties with the sports books and online gambling. Then do away with NIL in college too.

  10. Why bother tuning in. If you buy a ticket or see it on TV the question will be in the back of your head. Is this organic sports or has it been soiled by a these greedy bastards ruining everything.

  11. I agree sports betting was bad for all sports. I'm not surprised at any of sports betting scandals in the NBA, MLB, and the NFL. This was a byproduct and inevitable to happen by the players.

  12. The MLB commissioner needs to nullify their damn Guardians contracts for violating the morality clause. Then level maximum fines against these two stooges.
And Paul Dolan, CHANGE the team’s name back to THE CLEVELAND INDIANS. Stop your woke bull crap.

  13. End mainstream betting
This is bullshit! Theres no honor any longer, athletes used to play for a tenth of what they make now.
Gordie Howe signed a contract where a team jacket was a bonus. Bunch of over paid , over rated, two bit , sissies!!!!

  14. LOL How pathetic can you get? What a couple of absolutely freakin' losers. And more coming, I'm sure. You go from making a thousand dollars a year….. to making millions per year…. and you do this. Wow. You can't make up this stupid.

  15. They better be banned for life, just like they did to Pete rose. Don’t gimme that DEI let them go because of their skin color bs either.
