Pretty good effort this game. Need McCain to steady the offense without Maxey. And we need a real POA defender. Too many lazy passes and dribbling to nowhere today too
Sixers are starting to annoy me ngl. It’s one to thing to be bad. But they could’ve easily been 9-1 instead of 6-4. Then again without those early comebacks they could’ve been 3-7. Things need to improve if they wanna make it past the first round.
I have no idea what they talked about during the timeout but I’m sure it wasn’t whatever tf they did for the last 16 seconds
Did anyone else hear the loudest clap of thunder right after they missed the last shot?
No negativity from me on this one. This team plays hard every night. If we can keep this energy up all year, we’ll be a team that nobody wants to deal with in the playoffs.
I don’t care what that means in terms of a final result. Just like that I can trust this team to actually show up and play.
Really can’t believe all the doomers I see in this thread right now. We’re 6-4, been in every game so far, and PG, Jo, and McCain aren’t fully back yet…. Relax and think about where we were last season
Edgecombe, Oubre, and Grimes handling the ball as much as they do is a recipe for 20 TOs a game, like McCain needs time but he needs to be thrown into the fire and given these opportunities. He has legit PG potential and feel, the others don’t. Nurse is bungling this like a fool.
Good effort, excited for the rematch Friday on normal rest and hopefully with the big fella
our 3rd quarters are really brutal
This is the 2nd birthday we have lost on. Mayhaps a curse?
I don’t like that Maxey has to score 40 every night for us to win
I can’t agree with the people saying oh well we’re 6-4 that’s better than what we expected a month ago. They have shown they are much better than that and its going to waste because of this coach
Everyone is reverting to their old selves. Bummed for McCain, he needs to see a ball go in. VJ looks lost out there. Good game from Drummond and Walker. Maxey is running on fumes in the 4th quarter, it’s becoming a theme. This was always gonna be a tough game, but it was there for the taking and we blew it.
I’m bummed out about the loss, but at least they play hard every single game. That’s what I like about this team
Was a one man show down the stretch, Very winnable game, unfortunately in the last few minutes outside of a VJ 3, Maxey was the only one that wanted the ball. Grimes was terrible, probably his worse game this season. VJ had the yips during the game but hopefully hitting that late 3 helps him get his shooting confidence back. Rough game for Kelly but he was never gonna keep his shooting up. Nurse give us nothing out of timeouts.
Having 50 to 100 million in street clothes on any given night just isn’t sustainable. Especially when the supporting cast doesn’t have a ton of positional versatility
And again I beg the question why the fuck is Kyle Lowry taking up a roster spot? If McCain is coming back from a meniscus and not particularly loved by Nurse then the third string point guard can’t be a 39 y/o TV analyst. If you’re fine with it then stop complaining about Grimes/Oubre bringing the ball up and the unfortunate third quarter rotations
Fire Brett Brown
another game another horrible 3rd quarter SOMEONE FIX THIS PLEASE IM GONNA CRY
Ive seen maxey drain that before, just rimmed out
I’m looking forward to the day Nick Nurse isn’t coaching this team.
Pistons might not be teeming with talent but they look like they know what they’re doing. We’re an unserious and badly coached team. Playing hard, which they do, can only take you so far.
Nick, you are making Jared turn into Jonny Flynn. Do better
Yet another winnable game blown by a 3rd quarter collapse. This is frustrating but I still believe in these guys, I plan to be there on Tuesday vs. the Celtics.
RotY probably going to Kon Knueppel at this rate. VJ needs to get his head right, he got the yips. Only 16 PPG on putrid TS efficiency now.
Was honestly expecting to lose this one but the fact that were up and hung in there for so long gave me hope. Really hope this team can turn around their 3rd quarter troubles
76ers players for the most part dont work hard enough on offense or defense. Coaching staff seems clueless most of the time.
I don’t venture into r/nba too often but glad to see it’s not changed. Pistons fans are so delusional. Saying Tobias Harris and Jaden Ivey are better than Embiid. Anyway sloppy game we will be fine.
Its pretty concerning for Jared that they dont trust him to handle the ball and are forcing Grimes/VJ to run the offense when Maxey is off the court. Sounds like the complete opposite of what should be happening.
We have the Celtics and Pistons rematches next but Sixers get breaks in between.
Win the next 2 and get the team back on track.
No surprise the Sixers looked better in the games where they had more rest compared to the B2B games.
Honestly looking forward to those games.
Honestly pretty amazing they were that close given that I felt like most of the team was bad tonight
(Also, Jabari Walker awesome in the 1st half and barely gets any run in the 2nd??)
Getting tired of these Q3 blow ups and one score loses
Why won’t they give maxey the ball in clutch man
All of our loses are quality losses except the bulls one live and learn it’s just November
I’m starting to think Nurse is the problem here. First off that was such a bad challenge with so much time left in the game. And every single play out of a timeout is so fucking UGLY and discombobulated.
Every official in the NBA needs to be audited regularly to ensure no corruption. I don’t trust refs man. Shady stuff.
I could share my list of all Nick Nurse supporters to block I think some may have wanted to draft Ace I didn’t leave notes but all the most recent still say Nick Nurse is good.
Nurse’s coaching’s been subpar, it’s just tyrese maxey constantly bailing him out.
i think whats frustrating is the fact that we’re losing really fucking winnable games cause of tomfoolery mistakes
Didn’t see the game so I may have missed something, but McCain needs more than 9 minutes. The team needs a backup point guard.
Regarding the challenge: teams have personnel that review every play and advise the coach whether they should challenge.
Nurse is not the only reason we are so bad at challenging
Any thoughts on VJ and his performance through the first 10 games of his NBA career?
My thought is he’s very much looking like a rookie and that his handle needs some work, the first 5-6 games were exciting tho and hopefully the pendulum swings back to that from time to time
Why didn’t Walker play more in the 2H?
