NHL Highlights | Flames vs. Wild | November 09, 2025
comes off a great game on the island where beat
them 5-2. He’s given the team in front of him a chance to win. It seems like in each game that
he’s played and I think Hines’s rewarding that, you know, they’ve got depth and the ability to
survive some of these illnesses and short-term issues. So, but interesting to see how that plays
out with Bou. Calgary has won two of their last three. Prior to that, they lost 11 out of 12. They
went 1 nine and two. Ball stand holds his ground, makes the save flat on his back. The Wild able to
come over the puck and the Wild go and sends him to the bench for a new stick. Yeah. Ball the
big defenseman gets a step on his throws it, lowers the shoulder and takes it right
to the net. And Ball said with a pole check there does a good job, but in doing so
maybe takes his skates and fall out and this line magic on Long Island Friday night in Matt
Zucarella’s season debut. got it took a free a shot and a save by Koulies. She returned it
a big way with a goal against the Islanders. A centering pass Connor Zeri throws a
backhander toward the net and Ballstead. So when I asked Jarello after the game at
what point in the play did he decide that if he got the puck from Carill it was going
right back to him and he said right about the time Carrill got it the first time.
Spurgeon out at center across to Broaddin. Rodin gains the line in for Ericson
a backhander right on. Kicked out by Kulie drops to Terasenko. He plays it back in
Hartman into the corner after it. Bumped with Coleman and Estrosa holds long shot save. Pulley
rebound and Pulley got a piece of a Hartman shot. Rossi Zucarelloo back to Rossi. A shot saved by
Kulie and he hangs on. That’s a lot of silver to hand out. But congratulations to Marcus Johansson.
Started young, just 20 years old. Anderson getting shoved into the boards by Capri Ozen Cadri who
just played his thousandth game last week. He’s in game number 102. Oversimplify. I think we’ve seen
that already here in the first period. Remember last year they beat the Wild up in Calgary late in
the year. The Wild had just two games left after that. That Flames win was part of an 112 and3
finish for Calgary. And it put Minnesota in a spot where they needed wins in both of their final two
in Vancouver and home against the Ducks to hold off the Flames. Minnesota finished with 97 points.
Calgary 96. Long shot saved by Volstead. Kenstrosa comes away with a puck for Minnesota. 180 goals
together since 2020. When you look at some of the other tandemss that are above them on that list,
the Brains can make up for it by getting faster. And he said, “I don’t know if I’d want to go so
far as to say I’m the smartest guy on the team, but if you said I was, I wouldn’t disagree
with you.” He plays it down into Calgary territory. Minnesota will make a change. The
hall lost it. Felo brings it in through across. Felo center and you’re off. Set it wide. We’re
going to be talking about this at some point, but take away from Felino. And a good play
making a pass here, but no shot on goal. And then the Wilds go on their next look. Yeah,
Europe. his handcuffs and get favor waits for a change to complete and starts out from his own
zone to Terasenko. Back to Hartman trying to feed Hennis Rosa from England in drive and a
save by Kulie. They might have 10 high danger scoring chances on seven shots out goal. This
is a twoon Ryan Hartman going in. He does a good job freezing [ __ ] but he delivers it to
the back hand of Henstrosza to Pal under some pressure from Zukarelloo. Got it ahead across.
He springs Coronado. Coronado tried to center. Ura Hanley plays ahead. Coronado numbers at
center for Calgary. Coronado to the Minnesota line. Rubbero moves in a shot. Save lost. Rebound
cleared away a shot. That was blocked. Punt got a piece of it. moves to the side of the net.
Centering pass for Coleman. Comes free to the point to Hall. A shot. I’m not sure Ball saw it,
but he got a stick on it. William wraps it off the boards. Marco Rossi plays it to Zukarelloo.
Back to Capri. He has to favor center. Shot saved by Kulie. What a good look in the final minute.
It’s a a twoon four. The Wild executes this to where it’s Matt Zukerelloo on the back door
all by himself with a rolling puck and Kulie Jared Spurgeon out to center for Johansson
gives it to Erikson. He fires right on. Saved by Kulie but in spite of that the Wild were
swept in the threeame series by the Flames. Shot knocked away. Wild was beaten twice
in Calgary and once here in St. Paulry picks it up for Calgary out to the point. Hanley fires that goes wide and the
rebound controlled by Capriov that Hartman streaking into Calgary territory but
he couldn’t find him and Zerry carries back. He has pla driving the net. A redirect on goal is
held by Volstead. Get behind the goal line with that Calgary counters and Zary with some speed.
He’s able to maneuver that puck around. Gurichek delivered to Clapco. Redirects on net trying to
center and it hit the skate of Hubo. Another spot where perhaps a shot was available. Frost to Hubo
in behind the defense. Hubos in against Boston. Big save by Bstead. Oh, what a save there to
yes for Bstead who stops Hubo on the breakaway and Baldi the two leading point scorers on the
power play for Minnesota. Zukarelloo looks, fires, shoulder save and it deflects up and out
of play. Defended by Anderson. He turns it back out to center. Interesting play Baldi giving up
the zone. They’re almost playing it like it’s it’s three on three. Now he’s back on the attack
where it’s an extra shot. Knocked out by Pulley. Ball comes over the puck for Calgary. Ball to Anderson. Gives it to Cadri who drives wide against
Capri. The center pass hit escape. Now Capri off comes up with the puck for Minnesota.
Got it to Erikson. Bass to Capri just out of his reach. Picked off by Culie. Ball works
past Terasenko. Works past Hartman. Out to the plate. Kal a shot. He is picked aside by Volstead.
Fox’s good. I mean Ballstead seeing everything off the boot of Hartman and all the way
down. Minnesota desperately needing a change. No chance arises on that
play. Felo after it in the corner joins the battle. Fino check
the shot saved by Pulley. Marcus Johansson pass behind
Ericette comes free the other way and a shot for Coronado is held by Ballstead. center cross center. He scores. He’s not the pace to get to it. Fab breaks this
one out. Good support from Johansson on the drop pass from Erikson. Then Baldi gets this all alone
out front and lefty. Quick shot. Five hole. Boy, just pretty passing play. Good angles.
Nice attack there from Matt Baldy. They played with the lead like second
almost through a good chunk of games, but they stuck with it. They found their game on
that line with Baldi and Eric seemed to make both Baldi and Eric look more like themselves. I think
you just look at the makeup of it. You put there shot deflected and picked out by Rossi moves down the wall. tried to get it to
Zukarelloo in the corner. He’s cut by Weaguer. Zukarelloo got it out front. Rosie got a forehand
shot on goal and a save by Kulie through they’ve had moments of greatness in this game. They
haven’t been able to capitalize. Rossi gets some space through the slot here. Little
spin on the forehand out of Cadry Kubo. Cadri drags it between the legs for a shot.
A save by Walsh. Oh man. But here’s the Cadri attempt after he had goal line attack and he tries
to get cute with the between the legs flipped but he 18th faceoff win for Frost tonight.
Then Calgary starts with possession again. We gives it to Cadry. Cry fires. Pat save ball.
One minute remaining. Anderson down the wall for wild come over the puck. Eric side steps a check.
He has to pre ahead of the play and Capri scores. Well, individual play here from Bi to win that
wall battle. Then how about Ericson X hit to himself. Little race puck into space and Capri
off just beats Copley up the ice. But maybe my favorite play there was the shot of Balstead in
this celebration. We talked to Hines this morning about how important it is to have young hunger
in your lineup. And he said absolutely. Final seconds. Puck goes to the corner. Hoover’s
after it. Got a piece of it in front and the Wild take down the Flames. Yeservad with
a 35 save shut out is second in the NHL.
