HIGHLIGHTS: LA Kings at Pittsburgh Penguins | 11.09.25 NHL Game Highlights

I watched him there in the warm-up. He really goes down quite a bit. His pads are loose to his legs, so it allows him a lot of mobility in that area. But yeah, the numbers outstanding for the young goalender. And today’s puck drop is brought to you by Irvine. Finds Kempe right in front. Kopitar in the area. Now Arma finds Kopitar to Kempe. Unloads it in a save by Mersaw. Good handle. The rebound by Mershaw. kicks it right to the corner with his stick at the line. Kempe a drive off the crossbar and they say no goal. He’s way back at the blue line. Look at that. Just on the side of the screen. Now you get the traffic with Arma. You get a redirection too. So you have a double whammy there. That should work for the Kings. When you have a screen and a deflection, you’re just Der in the area. Never got the pass as Connor Clipton gets it back on the goal. Now the Penguins on it and a quick shot on goal by Der. He’s concerned about the confidence level of the Kings. He wants that swagger back. One way to do that in practice, make sure the players have the puck. Jamie said the chances are up the last three games not really getting the results. And now Clark goes back on the goal for FIA. Clark tough angle. Shoots it right on. Stopped by Mishov. Here comes Graves. began the season in the miners. Deg Graves cleft in with it. Shot maybe off his own man in front and the Kings can’t clear it. Extended zone time for the Penguins and at the line. Carlson right on and a save by Keer. And now Mikey Anderson all over his man. That’s Novak. They’re good buddies from Minnesota. Long shot tip and a save by Keer. upper body injury. Actually had a collision with his teammate Graves in training camp. And now the Kings at the line and Turkot tough angle shoots it and that’s blocked in front. Der comes in. Pass in front off skates. Lazak goes down. He tumbles over Dowy and then Carlson rips a shot up high and now Kopitar on the faceoff and Mulin wins it back. And then Carlson dangles, throws it back to the line for Wobbers. Stops and starts on Arma to Malin in front. They score. What a pass by Malin. And it’s tipped in by Novak. One- nothing Pittsburgh. Wther Spoon. He’s the guy I noticed more than anyone last game. He takes it down the wall and then he finds a way to get it to Malcolm right here. Oh, there. There’s the breakdown in coverage. Malcolm finds a seam then to back off in front. The pass is there. This is where the Kings you have Kopitar looking at one way. You had Kempe looking one way and that’s what just at the right time. That’s where Ryan Shay on it. He was signed as a free agent. Centered Kings get it. Kazako turning shoots it right on. Stopped by Murave and no rebound. The St. Paul Minnesota native from Malin and Wallers at 848. stick and the Penguins looking for more. Rust to Kindle the 18-year-old. A shot on goal. It was just first class all the way. And now at the line clipped in hard pass. Braves with it. Shot right on. Rebound. Keer makes the save on Heinen on the rebound and a good stop there by Keer and it stays in the zone. Lazot leaves it. Heen with it. Shoots it right on. And again Keer with the glove save. Would you believe it? In that Panthers game, he got his goal. And he’s done this for other players, too. Steven Stamos, Nikolai Eers, even Gabriel Landiskog. So, who you going to call? No doubt. Just call six goals in nine games as a kid. And now FIA good move at the line trying to go inside. He does. Backhander and a great save. Centered and a penalty called here on the Penguins. Have to get better at one man goes down, one man with a hook. Crosby to the box. [Music] Perry on the first power play for the third straight game as Biffield carries it in for Perry through a couple of checks and then Kopitar at the line knocked off the puck by Lazot stays with it. Kopitar centers it and he scores from the angle it banks in and Kopitar has tied the game at one. The Kings don’t necessarily get the entry and control they want on the play, but then handling the puck and they’re Yeah, just a just a tip of the defense mistic. It’s Wther Spoon right there on the near side. So attempted pass across. It’s one of those bounces. So first goal against for a goalender. Tip by Heria. Good play. He finds Kopitar on the wing. Kempe unloads it and Versaw makes the save on Kempe. You’ll see the change in position of the goalender right there. One step across. He’s there. Yep. Well above the blue paint and that was picked off on a back checking and lifted back to center. And now Clark comes back in for Los Angeles for Moore. Shoots it. Kipped off a stick grabbed by Deno. Out high for Clark right in front. Backhander right on goal by Moore and a save by Mhaw. Mhaw did a good job there because if there’s another loose puck so to speak again he started with Turkot and there is big 37. And he gets one whack. That’s it though. Goender very quick with a glove to make sure there’s no loose puck situation. [Applause] Eric Carlson now for Lazot and the Penguins. A pass in front. Look out. Right on. Tipped by Heinen I believe. And a save by Keer. Gives it away to Biffield. And now Leferior trying to march in drops it. Thia shoots it and right on at the buzzer stopped by Misha and Kindle kind of turned at the last second almost he was going down at the time of the contact happened and we hope that he’s going to be okay. Saw him play yesterday John in that game against New Jersey and I was very impressed with K for Wther Spoon. Hard rim for Crosby back to Wtherspoon lets it go. Rebound Crosby had an empty net. Saving a goal as good as scoring a goal off the face off and a high shot by Quibbon. Another shot goes wide. The Kings did get the job done. I mentioned that face off earlier. You see the Kings just kind of backing off. There’s a bad angle shot. So, it just took a while there for the Kings to get things going. And then Kevin Hayes at the line for Clifton. He works in looking back door for a tip. Another shot right on by Graves. Now Kazeno again looks out high to Dowy. And Kazo waiting. Here’s Clark. Tough angle. A shot off the outside of the goal. And now moved along by Mantha. Captain Latang. A drive and a save off the blocker by Keer. And now let’s tag again to manage that right in. He scores. Quick shot. Late power play goal makes it 2-1 Pittsburgh, but he makes a pass earlier. Well, the Penguins are able to make things happen and he just keeps it alive. Then he finds himself with that seam that we’ve seen a couple of times in this game. Again, it’s it’s a power play, so the Kings are short-handed, but we’ll see how wide open the play was from Monty gets it. He he didn’t waste any time either. He could have taken one little extra side. Russ lost it and the Kings have a break. Leferior and Biffield short-handed. Leferior comes in to Biffield and a shot and what a save by MA getting to get the second attempt over. So there’s the breakup. Watch this. Blocked there. right back and that by that time the play is almost you would like Biffield if possible to kind of slow down trying to work it ahead and a race for it by field gets there but kept in in front backhander and a save it’s loose there Kings get it turnover chances I I think the Kings have not turned the puck over as far as on attack or things of that sort very few double crosses but the Penguins creating chances on the for And he goes wide on Carlson. Blocked by Fialis. Centered and a shot by Leferier. And a save by Mersaw. For a young goalender, he reads the play very well. He’s anticipates exactly what’s going to happen. The Kings early on. And here he comes. Fights off the Lazot check and stays with it. What a job by Moore up the middle. And a glove save by Mir after you see him just that’s puck protection and then he elects to shoot. Mishop the goalender and Quinn long pass to Rust drops it off. Crosby in front. What a save by Keer and Rust set up by Crosby. Keer’s best stop today. Back and forths on that last shift. You can see that again that it’s not even a push across. It’s recognizing that the shot was going to be taken right away by Rust and bing just at the last second. And now Perry back of the goal around on this side for Denote and the Kings to center in numbers and Moore. Drop pass. Perry shoots. He scores. He’s done it again. The worm has scored here in the third period. Then the Kings have tied the game at two. And Cody Cece picks the opportunity to join the attack there. This period has been like that. do it on the rush. And then Cece picks the right. He He makes the drop pass, but he also cruises across and creates a screen at the same time. And I don’t think the goalender saw that shot at all. And that’s exactly what Cory Perry sees, too. He says, “Just get it on net.” Look at the goalie. He’s not moving. Yeah. Much more jump here in the third period. And now Moin gets in and across. Mantha with it right on. And a save by Keer on a quick turnaround shot by Mantha. There’s Dumalin now for FIA. Nice pass for Biffield. Kings come in. Byiffield to the middle for Fiala. Right in on goal. Backhander and a save by MA. Kings have fought back for a two- two tie. Almost almost in 3-2 lead and tipped along by Ross all the way down. Anderson gets back quickly. And now Leferier around. Dowy has a man ahead. He finds Fiala. He comes in with a move in on goal. Shot and he scores. What a play. Unbelievable goal by FIA and the Kings have taken a three-2 lead. Pass by Dowy is hard but here it’s all Kevin Fiala. Watch this. And he holds. He holds long enough that he gets by the goalender. He could elect to put it back right there. No, he doesn’t. And then he roofs it. So, we were just talking about Kevin. I cannot. He’s always dangerous. But today, Kevin Fiala is putting on a clinic. You’re talking about elite. And now Carlson hits the line. Blocked by Kempe. Latang with it. That’s going to do it. And the Kings a third period comeback to kick off a six-game road trip as they win 3-2.
