NHL Highlights | Flames vs. Wild – November 9, 2025
and it’ll be put to the test countering Marcus Johansson who skates in his 1000th game as a member of the Minnesota Wild and the Flames start with Coronado. They like the way Kousnetsaw filled in though a little higher in the lineup. I like his game as well. He played with some confidence, kept it simple and as Huska said, he played the punt up pretty well. And there is Ball putting that one on now. Flames with a puck in the Minnesota territory. Cadrick drops it off. Kevin Ball switches to the backhand now drives. Ball puts it on. Ballstead down. Puck available. Bill Gustoson who had a good record against Calgary on the bench as the backup tonight. There’s a quick shot. comes up with a big first stop. Flames get it back. Mahal at the line looking for the tip. Clapka couldn’t get the blade on it. Lombberg into the slot for Connor Zer on the back hand right on glove. Stop by ballstit and good work. Ball all the way around. Kubo looked like he was going to arrive to chip it past knocked down the one knee. Felo watched by ball out of the corner. It’s centered and stopped by milestone night for him. Hubo got it up to Frost. He’s come back to the Calgary bench. Broaddin comes in. Eric puts it on. Another stop by Kulieenko plays it around. In from the line was Hunt and Estrosa shoots a long one. Cooling the stop and able to get over to his left but the golden opportunity. Oh, I think that’s the stick right there of Pomerizov at that Calgary line. Looked to be offside. That was close with Rossy coming in. Zucarella goes back to Rossi. His shot stopped by the blockerie. He’s got it. Eight game point streak. wanted to stay in Minnesota making 800,000. [Applause] They’re one of their most consistent players. I think that’s about what Chapo makes for the two weeks. Michael Lacrosse goal almost with the net being off. He wants to put one in the back of that here with a shot and a right pass stop by ball off a good look. Cross some time in his own zone. doesn’t want to be there for long now. Three Flames move up through the middle. Hard shot handled by Hallstead from the outside as Kazetsov jumped up on it. Ketsv gets it back. Fal stays put. Coronado hustles over. Uber got a piece now. Fahal at the line. Shoots and a piece of that by the Walker’s shoulder of Paulstead who’s lost his goal stick. Flame trying to take advantage. Kett’s on the rebound hopped away and Ericson able to navigate that. Baldi long shot into the glove and he’ll just elect to hang on. Thinking they need another goalie here, but he’s proved a lot of quite strong to get a point in Ottawa as well. And he’ll make the stop against the blocker post there. [Applause] Oh, he’s tereno asuker in across the froza and that was a big glove stop for pressured as he tries to move that puck cross finds Coronado on the backand reaches the net trying to go to Hoover [Applause] Rossy up the boards the pressure forced the Wilder but Cross lost his stick. Playing the body then as well on Hanley who fought Nick in the last game. Kubo run on with a wrist reverse and come up ice with it. Finds ball once more. Hangs on to it this time under the stick of Harkin pressure. Hard hit right from the Minnesota bench. Late in the period, Joel Farby trying to get this puck deep. And there’s Jared Spursion. Wild Rossy moving up. Capri into the slot. Capri covered cooling the stop. Penzy Weaguer’s mustache as well for Movember. Looks like a police officer. Yeah, I know how badly you want to just call him Officer Weager. I do. I just I I I see him pulling me over during a ticket. Wild stretching out through the middle. Johansson on Ericson testing cool got it with the chest and it hopped off that flaming C into the corner. Fluttering puck for a moment. Cadri gets back to it. Sharon go returns to Cadri. Looked up top now. shoots and it had to sneak one through on the blocker side. Could not. [Applause] Joel Faraby in the corner. Cadrick Favor lost his stick but caught it. What a baton move. Now we shoots and that one stayed out on the blocker side and they’ll reach center and play it in. Flames trying to turn around quickly. Clapka in with Zeri. Parker tips it on and Ballstead the stops had that pass blocked by Hubo. What a skate drag by Hubo to break it up and now nearly a twoon Hubo. He’s got a break. Hubido coming in alone. Deeps denied by Boston. That’s right. Keep working at the line. Spurgeon Carell in shoots off the pipe. I believe might have grazed the stick of Favor two. Anderson backing up. Dropped to Erikson. Hard shot turned away by Rebound handled by the Flames. Kevin Ball. [Applause] Anderson with Cadry urging him on up the ice to Cadry to pick the short side glove side and didn’t fool Ballstead that time. Had’s had a couple of those little looks tonight. Crease out the other way trying to get it back and the left back comes out quick for Culie. Ball fakes the shot. Skates in swings behind the net. Ball still has it. Plays to the line. The Hall shot handled by Ballstead. Flames keep it in zone. Wild still can’t get out. Calgary changing with the puck in Wild territory, but that takes a Minnesota bounce and they will get the Wild to the bench. Hunt on the blue line had a two-minute shift there. Are hoping to take advantage burner for the Wild put it on. Blocker stopped by Kulie. Wild working through the middle. Pass behind Erikson. Taking advantage is Anderson. He plays it up. Cornado. It shoots. Glove. Stop call. Erikson all alone. And Anderson saves a chance for the Minnesota Wild from occurring. That was a big play by Ras Anderson. Now alone in front. They’ll score. Baldi tucks it in and the Wild open to score one- nothing. [Applause] Watch Spursion here with the stretch pass. He throws that all the way up to Erikson. And then there’s Johansson with the beautiful play in Calgary. Little bit of blown coverage on that play as Bley in all alone and goes five hole on Culie. Hanley comes up and takes his man, but the front of the net gets vacated and because of that Jagger threads the needle to counter moving in buted [Music] by Fairby thought he could get a call there. Hot shot had numbers but ball takes the seam away and may have prevented another offman rushing centering. You’re up goes to F Toino shoots from one knee and a stop by Culie. Well, the key for Cal right now is is don’t get frustrated. He made a few mistakes here. He gave up the goal and then right away Hanza crosses over. Coleman some room on the farboards. Punch stepped up to take that away briefly. Swung on and then batted out of the air by Backland. That went off a stick and ends up in the corner out in front. Flames jamming at it. Left pants stop against the trapper post off of Hanzik. [Music] Off the draw. Flames start with a puck. They’ve done that a lot tonight. Try and keep that going. Turn it into something. Flames trying to find a tying goal, but they’re not empty. Ericson to Capri, scores. He’ll ice it. And it would have counted with the stick throw from Cry. And after that effort, the Wild have a two nothing lead. [Music] Kelly got possession of the puck. And right there, it’s a bouncing puck on the boards that Coronado just can’t corral that puck. It bounces off his stick and then that goal would have count anyhow. Once again, ran into a hot goalender. Weaguer tries to put one last mad dash effort onto it. [Music]
Matt Boldy opened the scoring before Kirill Kaprizov added an empty-net goal as the Minnesota Wild shutout the Calgary Flames 2-0.

Keep the tank coming boys π₯π₯π₯
the vile emptynetter can't do anything anymoreππ
glad we won again but we gotta shoot more still were always getting out shot
here before the whiny al grundau
seems the flames are in sell mode, be one or the other, stuck in the middle is not the way to go
By the end of the year, Calgary will hoist the trophy for being the best worst team in the whole damn league. Such a bad roster π¦§
The effort was there, this flames team is just genuinely awful. I don't know what else you can say.
Moving up 31 spots in the power rankings to number 1 the Calgary Flames was a bold choice but I respect it
The Flames should have gone full rebuild the moment Johnny left. They should have traded Tkachuk for picks / prospects. Trading a first to get rid of Monahan was just insanity. Kadri is a good player but the rest of the Flames are not. Getting top 5 picks each year is brutal watching those games but it is such a massive advantage. The Sharks are going to be surpassing teams who refused to rebuild.
Wallstedt is playing well against a crap team.
Lmao why is everyone all of the sudden throwing their sticks and pushing nets off posts like its not gonna be called an automatic goal? The NHL is rewinding in player maturity.
WALLLYYYYY
That's right-Keep on Tanking. Your sure to get that #3 or #4 pick. Then in 3 years after your draft pick has been developed you can throw away the Loser Hat and switch to a Wild Card Hat. Don't worry, its really easy to be positive after spending 3 years in last place
BWAHAHAHAHA another FLAMEOUT by the poverty cowtown fLames against mini soda mild. The battle of the two bottom feeding insignificant trash franchises and of course Cowtown was on the losing end. Dead last in the pacific LOL oilers could NEVER
Should leave Wally in net until Gus figures out this goaltending thing.
Flames are a dumpster fire right now.
What a terrible team! Is there even one of them who can score even just one damn goal? Absolutely pathetic and completely not worth watching.
If he gets hurt we are in trouble. Too much money.
