NHL Highlights | Kraken vs. Stars | November 09, 2025

Number five for Casey. He’s ready to go. And on
the other end, story line is an old teammate, Matt Murray, is in net on the other side going
headto-head this evening. Bourc to the left point. Bishial. Boritz Kobe and Beck. It was such a good
line. And a shot by Bourke. And the save made by Murray. It was a tough one. Familiar face number
27 in white. Mason Marchman playing against the Stars for the first time since the summer
trade to Seattle. Shot saved by Des Smith. to start this season. In June, the Stars sent
him to Seattle. Got a fourth round pick in last summer’s draft and a third round pick in next
summer’s. Here’s a tip score flying through Schwarz. Larson after the faceoff control and the
redirection from Schwarz opens the scoring early for Seattle. Off DD traffic going toward the
net. This time instead of bodies being front, it’s that little high tip. Players want to come at
the hash mark. If you’re coming at the hash mark, that gives you enough distance to redirect that
puck. Turn it over. You’re going to see Schwarz come out to your right there up to the top.
And with the Smith, one of the few goalenders that it’s around that 6ft marker. You know, he’s
got to come out a little bit more to challenge. Six assists in the last two games for Miro
Hasten. And he’s got it at the blue line. Fed for Robertson. And then he snapped it. Pinalled
off of Johnston then off of Murray. A reload to Hastenan at the blue. Finds Robertson.
Low. Tipped in front. Johnston. He scores. Once again, they funnel it down to Wyatt Johnston.
He’s turning into the best net front power play guy in the league. And then from there, they
move it across. Robertson. Quick little pass and then tucks it under. Real nice job by Johnson.
those beautiful hands on display in front of the net. Pulls it from the back end to the forehand.
Stuffs it home. Bounces to steel. Fires a shot to miss the net. Hen and Johnston for Lindell.
Tipped in front by Rantin and he’ll get it back. Half a period is coming gone in Dallas. Hints on
the doorstep. Save made Murray and then Hint got planted. Marchman absolutely stapled him in front
of the net. Stars remain on the attack. Hates made the move he wanted. Got that quick shot in tight.
It was similar to the one that Wyatt Johnston was able to score on and Murray was equal. Here’s
Everly. Makes a move to the backhand into Smith with that save. A few times that the Stars didn’t
have their gap control in the forward. And in transition, it’s Johnston leading the way. enters
down the right. Fed rampant in saved by Murray and the rebound is fought for. He’s got just one goal
so far with the Kraken. The rebound comes his way but swatted loose by Lindell. Then Marchment above
the high slot. Shot to Smith all the way down. The Stars hop on it there. Room for Sean. Robertson
pulls shoots and gloved reaching out the left hand. Murray funneled low where Everly and Harley
cancel out. Busting in was Leouchkin. Stevenson feeds it across. Here’s Evans. His shot. Save
made by Des Smith. Nice job by Labushkin to push away Marchman in front of the net who’s trying to
gain position in front of him. And the Stars have the puck. Johnston for Ranton and made a move. And
Murray the save stung. Vince Dunn still out there feeling pain as a shot from Petravic was saved by
Murray and cleared first. But the Stars have to like the type of game that they’ve played so far.
Yeah, it’s so similar. The offensive zone time, the ability to create offense, just haven’t
been able to break through. Nice move, hanging on to it, scoring Tyler Sean. [Applause]
the bouncing puck and he managed to settle it down and sneak it past Murray to the ice. Real nice
chip. There’s the quick play off the ice. Oh, and this just sneaks through the defender and
oh, you can see Murray’s just lifting up those feet a little bit. Quick little play. Gets a
nice carum off a stick. Stan Sean stays with it. Lingren can’t get a hold of it. And then
you’ll see the legs of the goalender Murray just come up at the last second. He’s trying to
stretch. Oh, and it tucks itself right under. Nice job by Tyler Sean. But the Kraken are back
in. Hasten and breaks up the Stevenson centering feed. 8 seconds left in the first. Marchman
leaves itly and it’s gloved by the Smith. Quick little play here. Marshman collects that
puck, knocks it down to himself and then quick turn around. That puck probably going wide but
to Smith out rope hints for Robertson. Tried to thread one through for hints. He was getting the
legs going but the puck never got to him. Meyers the other way and a shot saved. His ability to
drive through the middle of the ice. Opens up space for Robertson to get that puck in. Here’s
KO. Leaves it and a shot saved by Des Smith. That one wasn’t from distance. Rebound fought for
and to Smith has it covered. start watching ping pong or something. Power play time for the
Kraken. Done with a shot. Save. Rebound kept out if it’s low enough. But we’re going to see Elbery
gets an opportunity here. Went in the net there on the power play this year. The Kraken just over
20% taken away short-handed. Here’s Steel. And then you’re going to see some good forchecking
by Steel. forces the turnover. Blackwell, a nice backhand. And oh, look at that. Oh, he
fanned on a little bit. Couldn’t get everything on it on that play. You’re going to see
it’s just going to come off when you’re moving backwards like that. Real hard to dig in.
Stars unfortunately with 4 seconds left on the two-man advantage. Montour top of the circle.
Dallas gets one back and Bishell five on four now. Everly. Montour shot again by Montour. Puck
goes back. collects it. Look at Schwarz. Look at the air time. Arley comes out. The crowd salutes
him and deservedly so. That was a tremendous PK. Here’s Marchmond and his save off for right then
and turned over. Bumped along to Sean looking for hints. Turned away twice on the doorstep. The
puck is still loose. Deals with some contact. Feeds Stevenson. Five on five hockey as the
Stars one for two on the power play. Cartier for Stevenson. Save by the Smith. Stevenson’s
got a great shot. He can really trick you with it. Will got a good one off there. Alexiaak
for Schwarz. Tight angle was looking for something. Short side and to Smith and a chance.
Marchman turned away. Tolvin Tolvin in for Evans. Left wing circle in front. Same by Smith
as Tovenan went to the net front. Reacts because it’s a one-handed play on the puck.
Didn’t take much, did it? The Kraken on the attack towards the net. Toanin turned away. It
was really good from that area. First of all, comes out. Look how quickly it’s that single
link push. See it better from this side. He’s got to charge out and because he’s smaller. Third
opportunity for the Kraken. Matty Baneers to the left wing side now up top done right side tool in
and to Smith read it perfectly quickness again to Smith here he’s going to shuffle across checks the
post waiting for it knows where it’s going to go eventually nice play by Seattle and then it’s the
strong right push you can see he gets there quick oh man well timed they’ve had great looks on
this power play in for Everly and now Stevenson on the wing. Chandler Stevenson across Baneers and
the save to his left to Smith. The Stars BK gets in trouble. Faceoffs and clears. But right here,
nice job again by the Smith coming across just pushing so well, man. He can really get across.
It’s the quick feet, the ability to get across. Really credits Jeff Reese a lot. This has a lot
of goalenders at this out of the box. It’s five on five. Three for three on the kill and then a
pass gets through. Lindren Rantin racing after it has Ernie in the slot. Rantin towards the net.
Backhand stuff and Murray got his left pad in the way. The stars have been hemmed in their own zone.
Here’s Randon. He does a quick little look and understands that he can’t pass that. So he drives
in and watched the left pad come out for Murray. Yeah, for Randon he couldn’t right pickpocketed
by Johnston. Wyatt Johnston leaves Ranton in his shot stopped. Johnston stopped by Murray. A
desperation save. Still no scoring since the first despite all the chances. Johnston
and Arantin at the center of the latest. Shoulderto-shoulder with Stevenson. Starting
to get nasty out there. It is a one-goal game. It is late. Sean to the puck dislodged on the
reach from Marchman. Montour is in leaving for Eberly. Across shot save to Smith on Marchman has
been masterful against his former teammate to keep Dallas in front. And it’s out for Rantin. Little
chip ahead. Steel has a racing Johnston. Steel shot and Murray the save for Kane. Dunn holds in.
Cut off by Lindell. Steel up the wall. Taken away Wyatt Johnston. Verantin and his bid was blocked
by Montour over to the left wing. Done back for Marchman for Beneers. Backhand. Montour fires and
the save made. Ranton in towards the empty net. They gave themselves a chance with that one
right there. Casey Whale out on it. And then it’s the scramble, the fighting, the battling
to get this one. Came back right in front but for and then the poke to the corner in front
and out of the reach of it’s done. There will be no comeback tonight. Casey de Smith and
company hang on for a 2-1 win. your Dallas
