CRUSHED: Colts’ Jonathan Taylor Runs Over Falcons in 31-25 Overtime Win

The Falcons trip to Germany ends in a 31-25 Nida Laga in overtime. That means loss in German. It was a back and forth game. The Falcons put forth a winning effort, but just simply didn’t finish despite creating two turnovers, seven sacks, holding the Colts to score one time, one touchdown on three red zone trips in regulation. The run defense, the poor special teams coverage wound up breaking the Falcons back. Jonathan Taylor had 244 rushing yards. The Colts finished with 323 as a team. I don’t know if that’s a record, but it should be. Uh the Falcons had poor special teams coverage, giving up some big returns, gifting the Colts with positive field position, including a bad punt by Bradley Pinion in overtime on the game on right before the game-winning drive. Now, the Falcons have lost four straight games. The records at three and six. They hope to rebound next week state side at home against Carolina, but this season is pretty much cooked at this point in time. And anything that the Falcons do at this point is really just playing for pride.   3. As a Colts fan does Bijan not have enough strength to run the ball up the middle? I'm pretty sure every run you guys ran was a hb stretch out of the pistol. Seemed like the Colts jumped on that pretty quickly and your offense became extremely limited because the Colts knew on first and 10 is was going to be a stretch out of the pistol.

  6. The Falcons played respectable football today. They played a pretty damn good football team today straight up. All they need is 2 more complementary WR's & 1 OL. On defense, 1 big plug up the middle, 1 LB, 1 CB and a return guy. QB is the big question. If Pennix can learn and correct than he's a keeper. Today at the end if the game, he had another dumb as he'll intentional grounding penalty. 2 games in a row, when it mattered the most. There were a lot of positives today, but it seems like it's the SOS!

  7. I like to see this Falcons defense. Add a few more players, especially at Cornerback and a plug in the middle. Ulbrich has this Falcon group fun to watch. Plus, they have more sacks at twenty-nine, and there's seven more games to go.

  8. The defense played well enough to win, special teams played bad enough to lose, and the offense played inconsistently enough to lose. After 11-12 starts, Michael Penix is not the answer. Young NFL QBs with a future like Drake Maye, CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniels, and Caleb Williams had won games for their teams. Name a game the Falcons have won because of Michael Penix!! In the 3rd and 4th quarter today the Falcons offense had 3 straight horrible offensive possessions that allowed the Colts to come from behind and win the game.

  10. Do Do birds. Will never support Atlanta again they sold there last Super Bowl appearance against New England. NFL is a Scam in so many ways.

  12. Agreed. Season is over and to waste such a good defence on a bad year is crushing also. Waited for this kinda defence for many years now and coaching is wasting these chances. Changes need to happen now.

  13. The Falcons aren’t going to win without stopping the run. The next 2 offseasons needs to be dedicated to getting bigger on the dline. We’ll lose the Panthers game too . Rico Dowdle will have similar numbers to Jonathan Taylor. This team still has a ways to go before their ready to contend

  25. It was an interesting game; the Colts, by their record one of the best teams in the League, did plenty to keep us in the game if not give it to us outright, but we just weren’t able to accept the win.

    This should have been the Bills game all over again, but we spent the 2nd half of the game suffering 49ers flashbacks.

  28. Absolute dogshit run defense from the Falcons. How the fuck do you bend over and spread your cheeks out in OT for Jonathan Taylor to add 10 more fantasy points to his game???? Genuinely some of the most dogshit football ive seen from this team so far this season.
