Coach Coach Schmidt talked about being expecting here in this third quarter. Jiren for three, knocks it down. That’s one way to beat the ball pressure on a regular basis. So, everything to this team was brand new and homegrin that always thinking about what he can do better and that pushes everybody else around him to do better as he knocks down a shot. Jar could not convert. Thunder doing a good job getting back in transition defense. Grizz has got to stop the ball. AJ Mitchell, that’s just too easy. Looks continue to take those shots. Those taking those shots will allow the rim runs for Morant later. Gildish Alexander rattles that one down. Unfortunate for the Grizz on some of these offensive possessions. AJ Mitchell 43 pretty much with a stamp. Caldwell Pope. Yes, Morant for three against the shot clock. Much needed latch onto that pass. Thing about the part run kind of started the end of the second quarter. That laces a three. We’re tied at 76. Getting those great looks that they got in the first half. Grizzy’s just five of 20 from the floor here in the third. Eight to shoot. Wells rises and fires and fills it up. I start to hear the countdown a lot of Yeah. deeper into the shot clock. First half we didn’t hear the countdown here in this third quarter. A lot more countdown yellouts. AJ Mitchell and the Thunder have the lead from 19. Directing traffic from the sideline. Six seconds. Isaiah Joe takes middle. Extra pass. Caruso. A three. Knocked it down. And they have a first to start the fourth. And a lot of it wasn’t even turnover. Aldama floats and hits. Case Wallace. Joe on the baseline. Tap by Hartenstein. This is what did the Grizzlies in in the playoff series last season. It’s what is doing them in here this second half. 1. the Grizz played a good 1st half , leading by 10…….but then choked (as usual) in the 2nd half. Morant only 3 of 18 FG another bad game by him, and I am not a Morant hater , I hope he can improve

  2. So….

    1. SGA has added a step back 3
    2. Chet has improved in the mid range and post
    3. IHart is more comfortable in his second year
    4. Ajay is the secondary ball handler they lacked off the bench last year
    5. JDub still out
    6. If the starting 5 is healthy, is the bench team of Ajay, Cason, Caruso, Wiggins, JWill, Joe, Kenrich, Carlsen and Barnhizer a playoff/in team? πŸ˜‚

Geez… an embarrassment of riches. And the big three is locked up with a bushel load of draft picks into the next decade. πŸ˜…. A masterclass in sports management πŸŽ‰
