POSTGAME SHOW: MELTDOWN: Jacksonville Jaguars CRUMBLE in Houston | Fall 36-29

What a hot mess today in Houston for the Jacksonville Jaguars as they lose 36-29. You are Locked on Jaguars, your daily Jacksonville Jaguars podcast, part of the Locked On podcast network. Your team every day. It is in fact your team every day. We thank you for making us your first listen here on the Locked On Jaguars podcast where today it’s postgame show with the Jaguars had maybe one of the worst endings that you’ll ever see them have in Houston today losing 36-29. Um man just just a rough game. We want to uh make sure that uh you know that we thank you for being uh we thank you for making us your first listen and being every day here on Locked on Jaguars. I’m so shook up I can hardly get the words out, man. I’m telling you. All right. What we’re going to do here on this postgame show, uh we’re going to talk about mistakes and shortcomings, how it exposed the Jaguars and all these things kind of lined up at once and a lot to regroup from as we look into uh the second half of the show. just not a lot of positives uh outside of the fact that they I came out with a short earlier today and a quick message to all the Jaguars fans um that they needed to get off to a a quick start maybe 10 nothing start to run the football hopefully the turnovers that we used to create will pop back up and once they pop back up then just run the ball manage the clock get some first downs get on out of there with a win. It looked like they had that done. It was 29 to 10 and then all of a sudden Murphy’s law kicked in. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong and anything that we need to go right won’t go right. The Jaguars lost. They lost and it was like a slow pain. It was like watching a western and somebody got stabbed and it’s like you going to bleed out slow. We going to make this. We’re going to make you suffer. And that’s what it was. It was like a slow bleeding process for the Jacksonville Jaguars today. And really, really upsetting loss, man, because they had the chance to get to six and three, now they’re five and four. And uh what happened today was really where they are. Injuries aside, we know that Houston had some injuries, too. They even had their quarterback. So, injuries aside, what happened was there are a lot of people that think that the quarterback is the problem. There are a lot of people that think the offensive line is the problem. There are even some people that think the play calling is suspect. There are people that believe the defensive line and the pass rush are the problem. There are folks that believe that the back end doesn’t have enough talent. To all of those things, I say yes. And I’m not saying that they’re all terrible, but yes is the answer for the the fact that all of those things all at one time like a parlay. I didn’t I I mean, if you going to bet a parlay on something, make sure you bet on what you saw today. They all showed up at the same time. It’s like everybody that owes you money or you owe money. They all if you owe somebody money, all of them pop up at your house on on your payday. They all showed up at the same time. Every fear that Jaguars fans have, even the ones that they disagree on, all of those things manifested themselves and reared their ugly head in one quarter of action today. And that was the fourth quarter for the Jacksonville Jaguars. If if you believe that any one of those things that I just mentioned is the problem for this team, then you are 100% correct today. You can argue that point today and I won’t even if if you even if you don’t think it is the only problem. If you think that any of those things that I mentioned were the main problems or are the main problems for this team, then you are correct. I can’t argue and fuss with you about none of it at all. I’m not beefing with nobody today. And the fact is that in one quarter, everyone that has an issue with the Jaguars or that prioritizes their weakness or prioritizes their blind spots, each and every one of y’all actually has a legitimate argument to be right because it all came true right there in the fourth quarter of that game that they lost today to Houston. Even when they’re trying to get it and come back and I’m thinking like, okay, maybe my prediction will work. the one that I said that the Jaguars might win or walk off and just get on the plane and come home the way that they’ve been doing even when they haven’t played well. Well, they’re lining up the 10 maybe 10 12 yards at the most with a timeout away from a walk-off and they get a penalty. First they get a sack, then they get most of the yards back on the scramble and then they get a penalty. Now, the problem with the penalty at the time that it came is they don’t have any timeouts because they had to use a timeout on the sack. And then the the bigger issue is now you ain’t got no time. Now you got to get rid of the ball. And then even when they tried to throw a ball, it did not work because it got they got another sack. It got picked off and Houston ran it back again. So, anything and everything that anyone thought was a problem with this team, y’all got a good argument to to to to peacock and and wave that flag around because all of those things actually came true. I’m going to get to that and more in just a second here in the second half and tell you how it’s a lot to regroup from and that might be a big ask at this point in just a second on locked on Jaguars. That’s rippling.com/lockedonfl. terms and conditions apply. All right, man. Moving and grooving here in half number two of our postcast. Uh, I mean, I’m sorry, our postgame show here. Uh, a loss by the Jaguars 36 to 29. It was really 30 to 29. They Houston got a little walk-off garbage trash uh touchdown. I heard I had people I had people calling when it was 29-10 and Houston scored a touchdown and made it 2918. I saw people on social media calling it a garbage time touchdown. And I looked up and said that can only be true if one or two things happen. The only way that that can be true that if it’s garbage is the Jaguars get some first downs and get out of here. Couldn’t do it. Team was defense was gasping for air. There were a couple of bad penalties on Jacksonville, but you know what? That kind of stuff happens when you put yourself in a position that they they can hurt you in a game that you they were leading and dominating. They got exactly what they uh deserved. And you know, pretty soon they kept they kept they’ve been saying all year, we got to clean stuff up. Clean stuff up. Well, if you don’t, what’s going to happen is it’s going to rear its ugly head. And all of those things happened at one time. They let the Houston Texans whose offensive line has been a proverbial uh who’s who and have not played well to the point where they’ve gotten that’s why their quarterback ain’t healthy now. Well, that team dominated today. How can you let a team like that dominate you uh in the trenches? I can understand Will Anderson and Denil Hunter. I cannot understand having the people that we have on our our defense where we use the resources that we’ve used on them and to play against them. I can’t fault Trayvon. Trayvon played a pretty good game. Should have had two sacks. Didn’t end up, I don’t believe, with either one because they called a a bogus rough and a passer on him on a sack. And I don’t know how that even should have happened. And then the other part of it is he let he let Davis get away from him one time when he actually had him in his grasp. And I’ll chuck that one up to maybe, you know, his hand isn’t 100% because he kind of let him go. And then I also have to chuck it up to they already had called the rough and the passer on him one time and then there was a play very similar to that in Jacksonville a couple of years ago where Trayvon got a penalty because he slung Davis Mills to the ground and he had him and you know it got away from him. But anyway, they got to start making those plays, man. And they were gasping for air, gasping because they couldn’t do anything when they had the ball on offense. They had the lead, but they were not controlling the clock. And this is what comes down to game management. This is going to be on Liam. And this is going to be on their inability to get push on their own offensive line. So all the concerns that anyone had about this team, you saw them all in in one quarter today. A game that they were winning 29 and 10 and were clearly on their way to win. And then all of a sudden in one quarter, the absolute worst of the Jacksonville Jaguars, no matter how you prioritize it, reared its ugly head and they lost this game. They got doubled up in yardage, a total of 215 yards. That is putrid. I don’t care who is missing off of your team. You’re an NFL team. The Houston Texans are an NFL team with a bad offensive line and doubled your yardage up with a dude off the bench. This is the second backup quarterback that has come in and beaten the Jaguars when the Jacksonville Jaguars were winning the game. Uh well, with Jake Browning, they were winning with Browning came into the game with this game. They had the game in full command there. There’s something that has to be studied about that or why teams just fall asleep when they shouldn’t fall asleep. They got Jake Browning today about Davis Mills and it’s going to be hard to to regroup from. You can talk about getting better and owning it and cleaning stuff up, but when stuff like this happens to you, you you’re pushing yourself to the point where you no longer control yourself in the division and now you can’t have any more hiccups because now the wild card is in danger because some teams that have not been winning are starting to win now and now the Patriots are probably going to run away with that division. So, you got to think Buffalo becomes another team that the Jaguars have to beat for a wild card spot. The Chiefs, uh, they’re in second place. Denver might win their division. So, now you got the Chiefs and you have now the Chargers who the Jaguars are about to play. They they may jock be jocking for them and the Steelers because the Ravens have wake have woken up. This is this is not this is not how we thought this was going to go. All right. So, we’ll have to see who they get back from injury, but until then, this is going to be a hard one for him to overcome. And I can’t wait to hear the words of the coaching staff. We’ll discuss more of it all week on Locked on Jaguars. Make sure you tap in to locked on Jaguars and Locked on NFL uh that comes on twice a day. I’ll be on there in the barber shop. 1. TREVOR IS THE PROBLEM! He is not a leader. He has no fire no heart only play with urgency when they are loosing. He's very very complacent with 3 and out. He's paid as a top guy. Was picked #1 over and label generational. He's paid to be a leader to make plays when need. To give this team hope to have an understand that when its time to go out and do whatever it takes to win. BUT HE DOES NOT ANY OF THOSE THINGS. HE'S choose mediocracy. Hes choosen to have no heart or fire in order to win he has showed the world he has no interest in giving 100% to football for 6 months he telling the world and the NFL that he football doesnt matter to him. A team without leadership is lost

  2. This team is just not good still baalke picked players on this team that aren’t performing and not playing up to the expectations of the contract that they were given 🤷🏽‍♂️

  3. I'm at the point of my fandom where, I don't care what needs to happen, who needs to go, I just don't want to see this shit anymore! We make excuses for everyone instead of accepting that maybe they aren't that good. "Trevor's in a new offense," yeah, so are Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, Jared Goff, and Caleb Williams. The list goes on. I have not seen the progress from him we need to see to say he's figuring it out. "We don't get any push from the middle." We just witnessed the first two alpha dog edge rushers; do ours ever look like that, honestly? NO! I'm tired of making excuses. There are injuries, but even when the team was winning, these little things were still around. I feel like we're headed in the right direction. I like Liam, I like James, they did inherit a mess and they tried to gives guys a shot. They can't fix it in one year. It'll take time weed the guys that are content with being mediocre.

  4. I predicted before the season the Jags would win 6 games. So far, they're on track. They probably will win one more. I doubt they will hit 7.

  5. I still think a 5th year QB should improve. I just don't think that Lawrence can take the team to a Super Bowl. He doesn't have a quarterback IQ.

  6. It's about to be nothing left to clean up because Shad not playing and it could be heads that roll tomorrow frfr. I know that man (Mr Khan) is in his office sick right now. I mean absolutely sick to his stomach.

  7. This is my opinion about the situation. Trevor on paper is just like a person, going on interview. On paper he’s qualified, references are relevant. When he gets hired and start working. He’s doesn’t match his skills. Yes, you can’t trade him, he’s contract extension is every expensive. So, sad to say, we are stuck in the long haul. The team needs to know who they are. Right now they’re on the bottom of the wild card race. I would draft a QB or bring in another high qualified one. So, it could make Trevor play harder and smarter. Knowing his job can be snatched away.

  8. If a team just whips my teams ass i give them respect and flowers! Maybe next time just say Texans was insanely good in the 4th quarter. Money Mills just got ya'lls#😂

  9. It's clear you have the worst defense in the league when you give up 26 points in just 12 minutes and make a backup quarterback look like Tom Brady.

  10. We have no leader!! Trevor needs a lot of work. Looks like he's afraid back there, panics under pressure, can't have that. Maybe time for a TRADE! since day one, day one…"It's on me, I have to play better." When is that going to happen???? Some bad calling in this game too, both sides.

  11. This is why I watch you TWIGG. You are real and you are objective and are not afraid to say things that might ruffle feathers. We have issues and it isn't current coaching and current front office. It appears that some of the contracts, etc. of the past are making it a harder incline to walk up. Let's recover and make a playoff run!

  12. Everybody blaming trevor gtfoh. We get no pressure. Josh allen has 9 sacks in last 27 games. Our secondary is horrible. Our offensive line is getting chewed up. We lead league in drops by a land slide. We shouldve traded josh allen he aint done nothing since he got his contract. He has no moves only speed. We shouldve built roster through draft not gamble on hunter. The offensive line is worse without sherriff. On the plus side jacobi gave us a security blanket. For sure hands. You have to remember this is a rebuild season. We not winning no chip. We won 4 games last year. We way better now. And we gonna continue to build this roster.

  13. Our Qb coukd not beat a back up again. Good guy but the nfl to big for him. Blunder after blunder. Hes not worth the $. Great coach but this gb does not elevate when we need him.

  14. Too much of that soft ass zone coverage on D… Shit looked great with all those turnovers early on in the year but now it's pretty clear QBs slice is up like swiss cheese.. Gotta get Hunter healthy and start playing more Man and hopefully get some damn pressure on a QB

  15. Hello foot meet gun. Gun have you meet foot. Oh f u c k now my foot has a gun shot wound in it. Jacksonville jaguars in the fourth quarter in a nut shell

  16. Poor clock management before halftime & the 2 dumb wildcat plays in the red zone was a major L! Coaching & dumb QB play along with bum defense play cost them the game. I'm tired of this crap!!!!
