The Charlotte Hornets coming into this one 3-6 on the year, 4-5 against the number after ending up with a 126 to 108 loss at the hands of the Miami Heat in their last matchup. While the Lakers come in 7-3 straight up and against the spread, having their win streak snapped at five games after a 122 to 102 loss at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks on the road. And now you’ve got the Lakers, you know, heading on the road to take on Charlotte and and this is still a Lakers team that just has to navigate through health. I think that’s the biggest concern for the Lakers for pretty much for a lot of the season coming up. I mean, this is a uh a really talented lineup. You you’re still waiting to get LeBron James back. You know, you still have the likes of, you know, Luca Donuch in and out of the lineup. You got to make sure that he stays healthy as well as other pieces. Dalton Connect, Austin Reeves, who’s dayto-day with a groin issue among others. But, uh, I still like the prospects for this Lakers team again as long as they can stay healthy and, you know, move throughout because they have one of the most talented lineups just in terms of overall just baseline talent on paper in the NBA. And I think they can have some success in this matchup. Charlotte missing some key pieces here. You know, most notably, uh, LaMelo Ball dealing with an injury as well. And you know, that’s a big big loss for the Charlotte Horns if he can’t go. You do have Miles Bridges listed as questionable. Brandon Miller still listed as out. Josh Green is still out. You know, you’ve also got, you know, Grant Williams who’s still recovering from his surgery. So, there’s just a lot of injuries for the uh for the the Charlotte Hornets on that side. And it’s a team that’s struggled in a lot of step-up spots this season. We’ve seen the Charlotte Hornets, they’re two-2 at home. They did beat the Utah Jazz handily and the other win was against the Washington Wizards who have lost to a ton of teams this season. But what we’ve seen more often than not when the when the Charlotte Hornets lose, whether it’s home or away, they’re losing by margin, especially again in step-up spots. We’ve seen them at home against Minnesota lose by 17. Orlando lose by 16. And I just don’t have the faith in the Charlotte Hornets that I would I think pretty much need to be able to at least take take him in this spot getting a reasonable number on the other side with the Lakers. I think the Lakers, like I said, are just the better team here. And I think getting them at a reasonable number around seven points is a decent spot to be in. So, I’m going to take the Lakers here.
