BOMBSHELL REPORT: Dallas Mavericks Preparing To FIRE Nico Harrison? JUICY Mavs Rumors

Welcome into Mavericks Today by Chat Sports. And boy, do we have a show for you guys today. I had to come on here and just do an at home style video because there is so much news to get to and I just wanted to get it out as soon as possible. There is a lot going on in the Dallas Mavericks organization. So, let’s hop right in. But before we do that, please hit that like button and subscribe to the channel. We’ll start with the report last night from Mark Stein, who I believe is the most plugged in insider here with the Dallas Mavericks, and he said the ceaseless negativity and hostility is wearing on and troubling ownership surrounding Nico Harrison. And we know that the public pressure has been ramped up a little bit considering the Maverick’s bad start to the season. They did win their last game barely beating the Washington Wizards on the road on the second night of a backto-back. And we’ll get to that Wizards game in a minute because there is some news coming out of that one as well. So, we’ve heard that the seen rumblings that the pressure and the just perception of Nico Harrison’s job has come under increased fire and scrutiny lately. And now it’s gotten to the point where ownership Patrick Dumont has taken notice and is now, you know, considering whether or not to keep Nico Harrison as part of this Maverick’s front office structure. Now, this morning, Tim McMahon came with the report, and this is the one that to harp on here. He believes it is a matter of when, not if, Nico Harrison is fired as GM of the Dallas Mavericks. And my response to this is this should have happened in January when Nico approached Patrick Damont with the idea of trading Luca Donuch away. This is this should have happened before he could have done the damage that he did to this organization already. The damage is done. Is moving on from Nico the right move? 1 million%. You guys know that I how I’ve felt about that for 9 months in change now. But it absolutely would be the right move to move on from him now and start the healing process for this fan base because I believe I do believe that when he is gone, you will begin to see some shreds of positivity, some shreds of optimism surrounding the Dallas Mavericks return to this fan base and you’ll see people with a smile on their faces entering the American Airlines Center. You don’t want to hear Fire Nico every single night at the AAC. You don’t want to hear people booing the team and rooting against the team and rooting for losses. Like we all want the Dallas Mavericks to succeed. And this is the best way to move forward is to fire this guy. Uh he has done irreparable damage to the organization. He has done irreparable damage to the fan base and the only course of action moving from here is to fire him. Plain and simple. If you want Nico Harrison fired as well, like the video for me. I you again, you know, I want him fired. you know, I think he needs to go. But I just wanted to give you guys an update on everything surrounding what’s going on with the Mavericks. And let’s go to this now as well. Anthony Davis mysteriously popped up as questionable on the injury report for the second night of a back-to-back against the Washington Wizards. Now, Davis ultimately ended up not playing in that game, but there were rumblings according to Tim McMahon surrounding the Mavericks organization that Davis wanted to play in that game and that cuz he wanted to help out Nico Harrison who is his boy who they have been friends for over a decade. He wanted to try to get some of the vitriol and some of the negativity and the fire surrounding this to subside. So he decided to he he decided that he wanted to play and probably Nico Harrison decided that he wanted the Davis to play as well. According to McMahon, there were deferring opinions in the Mavericks organization as to whether or not Davis should play. Among those deferring opinions, Patrick Dumont. It is absolutely a significant development that Mr. Dumont is stepping in and giving his opinion on whether or not a player should play after coming off an injury. Dumont has never been very involved with the Mavericks at all on an hands-on level. The fact that he is at least giving his opinion, if not making a decision on whether the Maverick’s best player is going to play in a game or not is absolutely significant and it means he no longer fully trusts Nico Harrison to make decisions for this organization. I do believe that is a significant development in this organization and in this saga so to speak and we will see what happens but I believe that the end is coming for Mr. Nico Harrison and whether it’s this week whether it’s next I don’t know but whenever it is we will absolutely be going live so subscribe to the channel and turn on your notifications so you don’t miss when that happens. We’ll talk more Nico Harrison here in just a moment, but today’s show is sponsored by Price Pix, where you and I make decisions every single day. Of course, we appreciate Price Fix for sponsoring this episode of Mavericks today. All right, so let’s play the hypothetical game here. Let’s say Nico Harrison ends up getting fired by the Dallas Mavericks. Where do they go from there? Who takes over as interim general manager? And then who where do they target a new general manager? Do they go and get somebody from the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Sam Prey School of General Managing? That’s absolutely a possibility. Do they go out and get someone who has general manager experience like a Bob Meyers who is now currently running all of Josh Harris’s uh entities as well? So the 76ers, Crystal Palace FC, the Washington Redskins, all of that. Bob Bob Myers is involved with all of that. So the Mavericks will certainly have options, but one thing I know for almost certain at this point given all of the reports that are coming out is that Nico Harrison is not long for the Dallas Mavericks organization. again that we should have been here the second he even brought up the idea of trading Luca Donuch. But the fact that we are here now gives me optimism that Patrick Dumont hears the Mavericks fans. He sees the constant public pressure. He sees the clowning of the Dallas Mavericks from national media from talking heads all around. And he sees that a change is absolutely needed. I believe Patrick Dumont is going to do the right thing and fire Nico Harrison again. Whether it is tomorrow, whether it’s a month from now, I don’t know. But I don’t think Nico is going to finish out this year with the Dallas Mavericks. And once he is gone, that is the first step in an extremely long journey for the Mavericks to heal their fan base and get their fans back on board. I I think that is the only way that the Mavericks fan base will essentially unite. And you know what? There there will be some fans who will not even come back after Nico’s fired. And I completely sympathize and understand with that because of the way that he treated the organization, the way that he treated Luca Donuch, and the way that he treated other people in the organization as well. Like this isn’t just a Luca exclusive thing. He just has not done right by a lot of people in the Mavericks organization. And the best thing for all parties involved is that Nico Harrison is going to get fired. I’m uh just checking Twitter to make sure I haven’t missed anything else. But yeah, like let’s just just to recap here. Uh the negativity and hostility is wearing on Patrick Dumont and they are aware of what is going on with the Mavericks fan base with Nico Harrison and all the internal stuff that is going on with him. Tim McMahon says it’s a matter of when, not if Nico Harrison is fired in season. And there were internal disagreements on whether Anthony Davis should have played on Saturday against the Washington Wizards with Patrick Dumont ultimately being involved in that decision-making process. And one has to assume that Dumont was on the side of Nico Harrison or of uh Anthony Davis, excuse me, not playing in that game. So, those are all of the updates going on surrounding Nico Harrison right now. The Mavericks do play a basketball game tonight, by the way, against Giannis Outkumbo and the Milwaukee Bucks. Uh if Giannis goes off and goes for like 50 tonight and you could hear the chance at the American Airlines Center, this could be the final game that Nico Harrison is in charge of the Dallas Mavericks. We will have you up to date with everything surrounding this story as it is a developing situation. So please stay tuned to the channel, subscribe at youtube.com/mavverickst. And if Nico Harrison does end up getting fired by the Mavericks, we will have a video for you and we will be going live. So stay tuned. 1. uhhhh….you better hope to God that Patrick Dumont isn't making ANY decisions on players playing, sitting, etc. If so, it wouldn't matter who you fire – you'd always have a booger picking moron making basketball decisons!!???

Fire Nico, hire a GM that knows WTF they are doing and get the hell out of their way. Dumont needs to never be seen making any decision…don't ever touch another thing.

  2. It truly hurts my heart to see my team this way… coming off a finals appearance…to bottom of the barrel because you trade our generational talent because you don't like his habits is bullshit 😒

  3. Typical of Nico to play his "boy" AD when the team listed him as questionable. Not AD's job to risk further injury to help out the GM and definitely not Nico's job to toss AD under the injury bus to lift his prospects as GM.

If true that Dumont weighed in on the AD decision then Adelson'/Dumont needs to go also. To sit back and and allow the franchise best player to be traded and then step in on a minor "injury" call is malpractice.

The word you are looking for is "differing" opinions. Not "deferring" opinions.

  4. When the season started, I figured he could just serve out the next two years and be done. However, as you've pointed out here and on other occasions, the vibe is terrible at the games and pretty much with everyone I discuss Mavs Bball with. It's 100% negative with no end in sight. Firing Nico doesn't undo the damage, but it will make a lot of Mavs fans happy (though I feel bad celebrating someone getting fired) and would hopefully end the "fire Nico" chants that are likely to be raining down at most of the home games this year. That's gonna be a Y for me dog.

  5. Sorry for double post, but does anyone else think that Dumont was looking more at that Supermax contract number and less at W/L when he went along with the trade? I'd bet there was a lot of talk about tying up that much money on what Nico was calling a "risky" investment. Damn, I'm getting angry all over again.
