Top right heat is my favorite chart version of Miami
Ppl keep doubting this team…
Even with Bam out tonight I’d be surprised if we don’t look competitive against the cavs
A lot of stats posted here these past few weeks are extremely skewed because it’s a small sample size and we’ve blown some teams the fuck out while playing at a historicaly fast pace… But damn does this one feel good!
I would like to see this play out over time. I’m also not sure CTG’s half court efficiency data actually account for the difference in half court offense between how the team plays generally and how they play in a true blue half court setting against a set defense.
I tend to find clutch ratings to translate way better. They’re the ones that tend to show who the “surprise” great playoff teams are.
At the current moment the Heat have a 100 ORTG and 120.5 DRTG in the clutch for a terrible -20.5 net rating. It’s a little better when you adjust for the last two games, and after all this is only a five game sample size, but I’d slow any kind of excitement this early in the season.
I could stare at this for hours
A lot of this can be placed on Spo and the front office. The front office put the right players in place, and Spo is Spo. It’s great seeing the players buying in and still playing Miami Heat basketball on defense, and I don’t say that to discredit them or their execution.
It’s funny sometimes going into other NBA subreddit game threads when they’re playing the Heat. There’s always a few “how do the Heat always find these players?” And ” Of course that 2nd round pick is a difference maker. God, I hate this”
Beautiful!
And people on here claim our offense will not work in the post season… Why are you even a Heat fan with no faith?
I guess “Bad half O” is what my wife and the Brooklyn nets have in common
Not sure if any team in the east scares me so far. Especially since we look this good without Herro.
My question is, when we absolutely need a bucket, who do we go to?
