So, we’re just uh we’re going to get into it, okay? Cuz um no more Blue Jays, no more I mean, all the focus is on this [ __ ] storm. Oh my god. And I ain’t talking about the weather, brother. I’m more focused on the weather than I am these [ __ ] guys. Look, man. Look, back-to-back losses at home Saturday night and Sunday night against the Boston Bruins and the Carolina Hurricanes. I’ve never seen We were honestly thinking about just replaying an episode that we did a couple weeks ago and no one would know any difference. It would be the exact same [ __ ] thing, right, that we’re going to talk about tonight because nothing’s changed. We talked, Chad, about like, oh, last podcast after the Utah win and whatever, they beat those soers down and we were like, okay, here we go. Maybe they’ve turned the corner. Maybe like there’s some positives here. No, there’s not. No, we jumped the gun on that one. Well, to be fair, I said I wasn’t buying it. No, no, no. Cuz that was the talk. It was like, oh, well, they’re the November Leafs are here. They turned the corner. And I’m like, “No, you almost lost to Pittsburgh. You came back to beat them. You beat a Utah team at the end of a road trip, at the end of a backto-back with their backup goalie in.” Like, it didn’t seem like convincing wins. And then this weekend, I don’t even know what you say. I don’t know where you want to start. I I don’t know how you put in backto back performances like that. Okay. I don’t even know how it’s possible. two of the Okay, they have not played well all season long. There’s been a game or two like here or there. Okay, there’s been that they’ve looked okay. Some individual guys are having good years for sure. There there’s been a game or two here or there that they’ve looked okay, but just okay. Just okay. They’ve never come out and and really taken it to somebody like play the way Bub wants to play. There’s so much to get into here, but I’m going to just start by saying this. Look, so just garbage, man, against the Bruins, garbage against like that Carolina game. It like that to me was like after what happened on Saturday against Boston and then you show up the next night with a chance to redeem yourself and they just like the oddman rushes, four [ __ ] breakaways by the Hurricanes in the second period alone. Like I’ve never seen that in a hockey game ever. We’ve had times this season where they were giving up fouron- ones, fiveon ones. What the hell has happened here? What has happened here, Matt? I don’t know. And and the talk after the games is driving me nuts. Oh, I can. They keep talking about how they’ve got it in them and you know, once they do it, everything’s going to be okay. Like, they just got to do it. And on What are you talking about? You’re not doing anything. No. It sounds like when people are, you know, trying to quit smoking or start a diet or something like that, you know, and they’re always like, “Ah, I’m one I’m going to do it, you know, I’m going to start on Monday. We’re going to do it.” That’s what they’re kind of doing with their defensive play. We’ll get there. I I hate listening to these guys speak before, after games. They just think they’re so much better than they are. Like why do they think that they are this almighty [ __ ] team that hasn’t done [ __ ] anything? Like sure usually a good regular season team. Well, not this year, but like even that’s gone out the window now. So like why like what are these guys relying on? Like you can’t rely on regular season pass, brother. The team or the league as a whole has gotten better. Look around the Sharks, the Ducks, Utah. I know in your own division. Well, I know I just I know I just named teams from the West, but Montreal, okay, like Ottawa without Kachchuck like they’re like I don’t know. These guys are living in and they have been for a long time. Like they’re living in [ __ ] fantasy land. They really are. The to most of these Toronto Maple Leaf players are living in a [ __ ] fairy tale fantasy land. Can’t touch us. We’re so skilled. We’re so skilled that it doesn’t really matter how we play. We’re just we’ll we’ll beat you anyway. No, those days are [ __ ] over, man. Those days are over. It’s kind of You’re right, but it’s kind of it when when Marner left, all we talked about was, you know, they’re not going to be able to score. They’re not going to score as much. He had 102 points. He set up He was the quarterback at the power play. He set things up. They are leading the Eastern Conference with 59 goals. Okay, they’ve scored more than any other team in the East. But you know what else? They’ve given up the most goals in the East. I think they’re second or third last. So like their skill is still there. They can still put the puck in the net, but these guys do not want to do anything defensively. No. And defense and goalending has been garbage. Like I I don’t think they’re putting Okay. Like I know the goals for are high, but I don’t think they’re putting the puck in the net in a convincing manner. I really don’t. But they’re scoring. Yes. Yes. That’s fair. If you’re getting three to five goals a game, you shouldn’t have what do they have now? Eight wins. You shouldn’t have you should have more than that as 16 games. Like, okay, in seasons past, like we both know, everybody knows they’ve outscored their mistakes. Well, that’s not happening now. It’s not happening. Their mistakes even though even though they’re putting up five goals, their mistakes are leading to six goals, seven goals. Exactly. They’re not getting the goalending. Their defense is the worst I’ve seen it in. I don’t I don’t know how the drop off fell from last year so much to like I know they have a new defensive coach but like it can’t just be that like the person I know they’re without Tanv and whatever but like yeah like is Tanv does tan mean I know Tanv is super important to this blue line but is he that important that when he goes out everybody else just forgets how to play defense? No man because even when he was in there we still had the same thing. Go back to day one of training camp. This team has not looked good out of the gates. Period. Period. I don’t know what is going to turn this around. I’m not sure if it’s going to be able to be turned around to be honest. I don’t think there’s anything Tree Living can do to like I don’t see a trade out there right now for someone who’s going to help this team because they don’t have the assets to make it happen. A lot to get in with. Like look, I’m gonna or a lot to get into. Look, I’ll go here off the top. just my eyes tell me I watch every game but I’m getting closer to not doing that anymore cuz I don’t want to watch this. It’s not a good product. If I was offered free tickets tomorrow for their next home game, I’d be like pass. Thanks but no thanks. Like I don’t want to go I would I don’t want to go up like I would never have said that in seasons past but like I don’t want to go up there and watch this. Like I don’t want to be in attendance to watch that Sunday night game. Like are you kidding me? No [ __ ] way. I can barely keep my TV on the channel when they’re playing. I’m like what? Like this is this is but it’s a it’s a joke. These guys are [ __ ] they’re jokesters, man. Like that’s what they are. They’re not real. They’re not a real team. They’re [ __ ] They’re a pretender. They’re [ __ ] jokesters. A lot of people to play devil’s advocate like I always do. A lot of people will say plenty of season left and they’ll give you examples. They’ll say St. Louis Blues were last place in January and they turned it around and they went and won a Stanley Cup under coach Craig Bub in 2019. But we will tell you this, but we both know what really happened there. There’s only one reason why they won that Stanley Cup and it’s not Craig Barube. It was the guy It was the guy in [ __ ] net. That’s the only reason. They called him up at the beginning of the new year in January. They were dead last. He was hot as [ __ ] lightning. They also had like great defenseman in St. Louis at that time. Okay. But with Bennington not in the pipes, they don’t win that they don’t win that cup. For sure. For sure. I’m just saying. And also to help out Bennington, they had a good defense core. I don’t think we really have a good defense core right now. Oh god. Are you kidding me? Look at them. It’s a disaster. People will give you these examples. They will say things like that and they’ll be like, “It’s only November with plenty of time to turn it around.” But at what point at what point do you say they’re not going to turn this around? Like this may be a 500 to a bit over 500 team fighting for a wild card spot. We’re we’re almost two weeks into November. It’ll be American Thanksgiving by no time. Blink. And it’ll be December. Like Yeah. And right now they’re not in the playoffs. Are No, they’re not. Are you seeing anything that makes you think like, “Oh yeah, these guys are going to flip the switch here.” No problem. That’s why, like I said last podcast, I was so confused as to why all the people that follow this team and talk about this team on the radio and the podcast, they won a couple games and everyone’s like, “They’re back. Leafs are back.” But I was watching the games like, I don’t think they are like they weren’t convincing. You said it. They have not played a good convincing win game yet. No. No. Okay. So, I’m just going to say it. This team to me, my eyes tell me this team is going nowhere. They don’t have it. I’ve said it on previous podcast. They What could they do? What do you think? I don’t think there’s anything they can I don’t think there’s anything they can do. I think they need ma major player personnel changes would be the only thing that they can do. And that’s not going to help them win this year. Like they have no chance of winning the Stanley Cups. Zero. What about a coaching change? They’re not going to do that. Tree Living Tree Living went through coaches like crazy in Calgary. Okay. Like the only guy that I could ever think like right now that would be like Pete Dbor is unemployed. He could potentially help. Never lost a game seven I don’t believe in his life. But they literally they just they just did he lose a game seven? No. No. I was saying if he took over the Leafs. Oh, guaranteed game seven loss. 100%. Who loses first? 100%. But like they’re not going to they’re just not going to do it. Like they’re that’s just they’re going to try to work through it. They’re going to try to work through it, but I don’t see it going well. I hope it does, but I just don’t think the [ __ ] Louis Vuitton boys are gonna [ __ ] all of a sudden play like the way you need to play to [ __ ] win when it Well, period. Especially in the play, they can’t even win in the regular season anymore. What are we talking about? Playoffs here. Playoffs. It’s true. Come on. Get serious, man. Like, look, Brew looks like he’s going to [ __ ] every game looks like he’s going to blow a gasket on the He he can’t believe what he’s he can’t believe I can’t believe he’s out of answers. Oh, he doesn’t know. He Yeah, he looks perplexed in his like press conferences. He doesn’t. He’s saying the same things like, you know, you got to skate, you got to be on the body, you got to you got to play hard. None of that. But it he’s lost. But it truly is, Chad. It’s square peg round hole. That’s what we’re looking at here. Barube wants a certain style and a certain way that I believe is the right way to [ __ ] win in the playoffs and when it counts. These guys not interested. You see you see him on the bench going like how many it’s a it’s a game nightly basis. He’s like guys like he’s what the oh he’s lo he’s walking up and down the bench losing his [ __ ] that Carolina game not listening to him at all. Not paying attention whatsoever. That second period in the Carolina game like they I I don’t know what the shot it felt like they didn’t even touch the puck for the majority of that game. I don’t think they did. They had one on net. He’s blowing a gasket. He’s got to be saying things in intermission. And it’s like I don’t know. It’s just not getting like Are they too good to play for the coach? They’re [ __ ] That’s what they are. They’re [ __ ] Is it that or is it like we don’t like you said we don’t need we don’t need to do that. They think they don’t need to. But that’s what you that’s like how have they not learned by now that that is exactly what you need to [ __ ] do. Exactly what you need. Like you said, in their head, they were 110 points season playing a different style. We got this. No problem. It’ll come around. We always do. Well, yeah, it it always does until it doesn’t anymore. Yeah. What if it doesn’t? What if it does? Because I tell you something, it does. They could win. They could win tomorrow night. They could win Thursday night. They could win Saturday night. But wouldn’t count on it. It’s still I have yet to see them come out. And I want to see a game where Brew is patting them on the back and then has a press conference being like that’s what I’m looking for. That’s what I want to see. One game’s not going to do it though. It’s just not like I need more start. Yeah, it would be a start, but I need more of a sample size than that. Like it’s got they’ve got to they’ve got to string some things together here that like one or two games or even the rest of this week or whatever. Like I’m just No. I don’t like their habits. I don’t like I can’t see these guys winning in a game anytime in the near future. No. Like I I’m sorry. The way they’re playing it’s like and here’s the thing. Like Boston and Carolina, they beat you in your own barn on Saturday and Sunday night. You don’t even get a point. You don’t even get a point. You can’t even push it to [ __ ] overtime. Outshot dramatically in the Carolina game. I think the final shots were like 42 to 20 or something like that. Out. They had one shot in the second period. I think it was the goal by Matthews out. They had two shots in the third period against Carolina. Like this is just beyond like this team just all of a sudden like it just looks like a total collapse to me. It looks like a total collapse. I don’t know how or if they are going to be able to get out of this. Well, there is there is one way out. Like I look at this team on paper and I I I kind of like it. There are some things I don’t like. Like I don’t like Max Dome playing center and obviously I’d like to have Tanner in the lineup but the Machelli thing. No, I don’t. Yeah, it’s not working. So yeah, but those are some things that can be changed. You can make changes on those pieces, but I just I don’t know. I look at it, I’m like, this could be a decent team, but then I watch it and I’m like, it doesn’t even look like a team. It just looks like a bunch of guys out there. You have a top line just trying to get points. Yep. You have a second line where Tiverus is doing everything he can to carry it. Yep. JT’s been decent for sure. 100%. Willy’s been like a terrible third and fourth line. Oh. And then a defense that can’t forgot how to play hockey. Can’t even clear the puck out of their own zone. No. Like And your goending’s been shaky. Yeah. Like everything. Like everything. Everything. Like it’s it’s crazy. Ever since called them out, he’s been mediocre. Oh yeah. At best. At best. at best. That makes perfect sense. I understand. Now I totally understandable. So Michelle’s still in there. Yeah. [ __ ] 12. And yeah, big Carlo, too. But Jesus. Oh god. Um, okay. Look, do you think this team just like plays the same way that their captain plays because like and basically by that I mean like [ __ ] Like I know he’s put nine pucks in the net, but like slow, soft, not interested, little to no emot. I’m talking about Matthews here, but the team in general, but like he’s leading the way. Little to no emotion, little to no passion. Where is the [ __ ] passion here, brother? Like, how much do we need? He was the last year. I I know, but like, okay, and they won the division. Okay, that’s fair. He’s And he played like Okay, so you’re right. So, like, I’m not putting it all on him, but like he played like [ __ ] last year. I don’t think he’s playing slightly better, but not nearly where he needs to be. If you look around at other captains in the league, he’s putting goals in, but he’s not engaged in the game. Like, I just don’t know how much more of this [ __ ] we need to see. Like, he he to me, and I’m not like I’ve got a few guys here, but he to me does not seem like the type of guy that is going to lead a group of dudes to the promised land. It just doesn’t like every time I hear him speak, I just want to turn the [ __ ] TV, put it on mute. I don’t want to hear you talk because nothing that comes out of his mouth is captain material [ __ ] anything. Be a call yourself out. Say I have not been good enough. This it’s not acceptable the way we’re playing. Like just give me a [ __ ] quote that the fans and the media can like take something out of other than well we you know playing hard like bounce. JT had had the captain quote after the last game calling the team immature. Okay. one one great quote in [ __ ] seven years. JT, good for you. Pat in the back. But I mean, that’s the closest you’re going to get from this this group. Why is that? Why? I don’t know. I don’t know. Why can’t someone just stand up and say, “We are [ __ ] brutal. We are brutal.” Listen, I think I think you know what it is, man. Like last year things were going pretty good. Like from November to the end of the year, they rolled pretty steady and they won the division. When things are going bad, I don’t know if they get their backs up or if they just act all cool like, “We got it. Calm down. Everything’s fine.” But whatever it is, irritates the [ __ ] out of the fans. What do you mean by get their backs up? Like if so things are going bad, you’re getting questions, you know, like after that Carolina game, they’re like, “What happened?” Like you had two shots in the third period. Yeah. But what are they getting their backs up about? Because I think when things are going bad, they don’t want to take any blame. They get their backs up because like, hey, calm, it’s not us. Like, we That’s what I was saying at the start. They just keep saying, “We just need to play better.” And that’s the problem. That’s the problem right there. No accountability. You got to step up and take it. Oh my god. Like, if I hear one more time them saying, “We just have to play right.” You know, okay, then do it. Like, stop [ __ ] saying it. Yeah. Like, exactly. Like, they’re just waiting for it to happen. Like, make it happen. Make it happen. Make it happen. Like, what the [ __ ] are they? And that’s what the coach is saying. He’s like, it’s not rocket science. These guys know how to do it. They just have to go out and execute it. And they don’t. And then when they get asked about it, they’re like, “Hey, calm down. Hey yo, hey, hey yo, we’re gonna we’re going to run way long here if I don’t a little quicker.” Um, I think honestly, and I honestly am not just saying this, playoffs 50/50 at best. That’s what I would put it on right now. 5050. As of right now, if things don’t change, if things don’t change, they might get in, they might not. I think it’s 50/50. Literally a coin flip. They might squeak in, they might not win the Atlantic. I think that’s highly unlikely. But when do you think you when do you think you pull the pin on the grenade? And what? Like you mean just blow the whole [ __ ] thing up? Not Not blow the whole thing up. Maybe that was the wrong terminology, but like start making some serious moves. Like maybe you put Max DOMI on waiverss or you just start like trading actual pieces like you start to really change this team around if they’re not going to walk away from the coach. They’re not going to do it. They won’t do it. You don’t think there’s any point in this season where they just say, “Okay, we got to do something serious.” No. Luckily, they’re dra they’re I don’t even want to get into the trades for Carlo and [ __ ] lot. Like, I don’t even want to get into that tonight because my head’s going to pop off my body if I do. But at least that protected protected. So, you just watch that end up being like a nice eighth overall pick or some [ __ ] like that, right? Like that’s so [ __ ] lease, right? Like it’ll be a high-end guy like a Seth Jarvis or some [ __ ] that should have been a Leaf. Thanks uh Dubis for that one. Well, thanks Lou actually. Thanks Lou for the Marlo contract and then thank Dubis. I don’t know like I don’t think like I think they’re going to ride it out and they’re going to hope that they can figure it out. I don’t see them making anything drastically change-wise this season. They miss the playoffs. That is going to be a whole other [ __ ] scenario, but we’ll see what happens. Long way to go here, but just it’s not looking good. It doesn’t look I don’t see it like my intuition tells me this isn’t going to get a whole lot better. They just look so disoriented and confused and like not able to do what the coach wants them to do. It just I I don’t see it, Chad. I don’t see it. And and not only that, like they Yeah, you’re right. They won’t do what the co It’s so crazy. It’s like they’re not doing what the coach is telling them to do. And then beyond that, they’re also you have areas that are playing so poor. Like your forwards aren’t helping out defensively. Your defense is [ __ ] and your goalending is not great. So everything like everything’s just gone bad. Yeah. Everything. Not one. You got to make a change. I don’t know. Like I was I know just got here, but Okay. I’m going to go to the coach here in a second. Okay. So I stayed up to watch the Oiler the Oilers played a backtoback like the Leafs did on Saturday and Sunday. The Oilers played a backtoback. um on Saturday and Sunday and they got their [ __ ] doors blown. Uh sorry, sorry, not the Oilers. Colorado is who I’m talking about. Colorado played a backto-back on Saturday and Sunday. They were in Canada. They were in Edmonton on Saturday night and then they were in Vancouver on Sunday night. They beat the [ __ ] They went into Edmonton and beat the piss out of them. 9-1. Not even [ __ ] close. I think McKinnon had like a six-point night and then a fourpoint night the next night in [ __ ] Vancouver. That guy is a captain. He’s a [ __ ] leader. I know he’s like I know you can look around the league and be like, “Okay, there’s not many guys like that. There’s just not.” Like, I mean, there’s a lot of teams that don’t have a captain like Nate McKinnon. Of course. Like, of course. But like, I’m telling you right now, like, I’m putting money tomorrow on Colorado Avalanche winning the Stanley Cup. That team looks [ __ ] dynamite. Not just because of the 9-1 win over Edmonton. They just look absolutely complete, bought in, goalending, incredible. Every man is like, you you watched I don’t know if you caught either one. I watched I I watched the Edmonton game and you’re right, Edmonton couldn’t breathe on the ice. They’re all over them. Chad, Colorado, every shift, first line, second line, third line, fourth line, doesn’t matter. They all play hard every [ __ ] shift. every even when they got up 5-1, 6-1, they still kept coming at them in waves. Yep. I didn’t see the Vancouver game, but I’m assuming that’s just they just kept it going. It It was like it was they didn’t play as good as they did against Edmonton, but like they still won and they still played hard because that’s just what they do. Like Bednar is a good coach and the players on the team. But now I get what you’re saying and and because the guys on the team, they can’t let up because Nate McKinnon doesn’t let up. He is the [ __ ] leader and he drives the [ __ ] boss there. And look at you see that like he’ll go through a [ __ ] wall. He will go through a wall. So if you’re a [ __ ] third line center, you’re like Jesus Christ, I better, you know, I better [ __ ] pull up my boots here. And when you see 34 [ __ ] coming into the rink with a purse, you know, and floating on the ice. Well, I mean, nothing against purses. Like, I don’t own any personally, but like if I was going to play a professional hockey game, I’d probably leave the [ __ ] purse at home and just focus on [ __ ] winning a hockey game. But maybe that’s the thing. Maybe they need to bring back the suits. What do I know? What do I know? I don’t know. Whatever. It just it just the mentality his like just to me the the leader the supposed leader the captain of this hockey team his mind is not where it [ __ ] needs to be. It’s not even close. Like I don’t know what he does when he goes home or what he does at night or any of this [ __ ] outside of the rink. And I don’t care. It’s got nothing. Like I don’t give a [ __ ] what he does in his own personal time. But when you show up to play for your [ __ ] team and your job that you’re paid very well to do, you might want to like try to step it up a little bit more. Austin, lead the way. Get us out of this. Try to find a way. You’re the best player on the [ __ ] team. Yeah. Like find lay someone lay someone out. Oh, [ __ ] Like do something that’s outside your comfort zone. Lay someone out. Get get in someone’s face. I’ve seen Okay. Bobby in the in the Zidorov smokes [ __ ] Laden. Poor Scotty Lden. He just came back. He gets [ __ ] hammered. He’s probably got a concussion. Zidor off. Absolute beast. I would want nothing to do with [ __ ] Zidorov. Zero. At least McMahon was like, “All right, let’s go. Let’s do it.” But why why does it have to be him? He was just right there. He was just right there. If Austin if if it would have been that line on the if Austin’s line would have been out there would have been nice. It would have been nice. Willie and uh Austin would have went to the dress room to check their [ __ ] purses just to see. Having anything to do with that? Not a chance. Zero. So, you know, if that was McKinnon, if that was McDavid, I believe they would have done the same thing. Maybe not. Well, I don’t know. Maybe I’m wrong. I I don’t know. But like, do you think they would have got in there? They would have got in there like the leadership. There’s something what what I’m trying to say is there’s something very wrong with our leadership and there has been for years. You know that as well as I do. There is something seriously wrong with the leadership on this team. You can’t deny it. You cannot deny it. I’m not denying it. I’m not denying it. They are totally skilled and like I think Knander, he’s a leader on this team. I think he’s having an incredible year, but you’re right. He’s never gonna they’re never going to step outside their comfort zone and do something different. They’re never going to take it to that next level. Put their body on the line to win. Especially a regular season game. Every game counts, bud. Every [ __ ] like every game counts. Like it’s not like you can’t sleep on a Tuesday against anybody anymore. The league’s not like that. Every team good. No, I’m I’m not saying you like I’m just saying No, I’m saying I know that, but they don’t like they I think they honestly believe they can just get by. Like I don’t think they realize like you said earlier how good the division’s gotten with the the league right now, dude. It doesn’t it doesn’t matter who rolls in. Seattle can roll in. Like pick a team, it doesn’t matter. Every team is [ __ ] good. Yeah. Like there’s no really bad any team can beat you if you’re not on your [ __ ] game. The answer is probably no. Well, the answer is maybe Brew is a little bit of an overrated coach. Like be you said he won the cup and you said they were dead last in January and the only reason they won that cup is because Bennington came up, got hot, and they turned it around. Now, I know after that he had some good seasons in St. Louis, but then the wheels fell off and he got fired. He’s Okay, but he’s got he’s got presence. Like, how could you not pay attention to that guy? Like, do you know what I mean? Like, how could you how could you not at least be willing to be like, “Okay, I he’s got a ton of presence. I like what he’s saying. I think he’s right. I’m going to try that.” Do you know what I mean? Like, yep. They’re not Yeah. And I’m I’m not saying I’m not I’m not saying that’s what I believe. Like, but if that, you know, if you’re content with or if they’re content with, oh, game seven of the second round, that’s great. Well, [ __ ] great. Then what are we doing? And when the go and they definitely don’t do anything the best. And when the goalending isn’t there, man, does it ever really show what this team really is. That would be the case for most teams in the NHL. Sure. Yep. For sure, man. So, it’s really showing. Okay, I’m going to go to this. Um, we know that camp went home and whatever, but got to bring this up. I I don’t Someone was talking about it today about how they’re so terribly [ __ ] defensively. They’re so terrible defensively. Camp is probably or was one of their best, if not their best defensive forward. And that guy’s sitting at his ass on the couch at home. Can’t get a sniff in this [ __ ] lineup. He’s probably one of their, if not, like I said, their best defensive forward. Can’t get a look. Can’t get a look. He was He was one of their best. Well, Bur won’t even give it a [ __ ] look because he wasn’t good last year. He wasn’t good defensively. He wasn’t good offensively. He couldn’t win faceoffs anymore. wasn’t good penalty killer. Like he wor could he be any worse than what you were seeing here? Like he might I don’t know what could be worse than No, like he’s not the answer, but like is it not just like one of their better defensive if not best defensive forward is sitting at home on the [ __ ] couch where he could be here helping. David Camp’s going to play eight minutes a night. The hell’s that going to do? No, I know. I don’t I don’t You said it. You already said it. The leadership has to do something. The leadership in this team has to [ __ ] hold the other purse and get it going. They don’t have any leadership. They don’t have any leadership. Well, they have leadership, but it’s not doing anything. Like, there are guys assigned to be the leaders, but they’re just not leading. They’re not leaders. They’re not leaders. Morgan Riley is not a [ __ ] leader. Look at them. Austin Matthews, he’s not leader. Look at them. Like, JT’s the best that they have, and I don’t even love his leadership either. So, sorry. Let’s Let’s wait till at least January or February before we go into tank mode. But, man, there is a guy at the top, this McKenna dude, who like I wouldn’t mind like bringing in a piece like that and just like maybe we start this rebuild sooner because start fresh. Well, you know what? It wouldn’t be the worst idea cuz I don’t think these guys get it done. I don’t think they ever get it done. Like, are we okay? Will we come on here and continue to do this until Matthew’s contract runs out and they either trade him or whatever? Like, another couple of years for sure. See this whole thing out. But this is going to go down is one of the most epic [ __ ] failures ever. They had it, man. when Austin came in and Willie and Mitch and like they brought in JT and like things were looking like, oh my god, they’re gonna finally [ __ ] put a team on the ice that is gonna [ __ ] be able to compete year after year for the cup and they have I’ve never seen failure like this ever. Just epic [ __ ] failure by a [ __ ] like it’s so frustrating because the potential was there and now I just see it all going to [ __ ] Like it’s just all gone to [ __ ] [ __ ] Like there’s no they might turn this around and whatever. Great. If they’re back in game, even if they do Okay, sorry. No, like just quickly if they’re back in game seven again in the first round or second round against the Florida Panthers, they’re not they’re they’re losing. That’s what I was just going to say. Even if they do turn this around, do you see the them winning the Stanley Cup? Like that’s the whole point of playing the games is to win a Stanley Cup. No chance. I can see Knander and Matthews getting a cup in their career, but it won’t be here. It’ll be like Phil Kessle when he went to Pittsburgh. That’s when those guys will win their Stanley Cup. It will not They will not lead this team to a Stanley Cup. No chance. There is no part of me anymore. I I thought it I thought it for years. I thought it. I no longer think that. I no longer Do you think like Do you think maybe this has got to be hurting their bottom line the way this team’s playing? I mean, their television numbers have to be down, their jersey sales, ticket sales, [ __ ] like that. It’s got to be down. Are they though? Because people just aren’t interested. Like Christmas is coming up and like normally, you know, that’s a big thing. Oh, I’d like a leaf sweater. Oh, I want No one’s talking like that. Like is it do you think if anything could hurt the bottom line they might actually do what you’re saying? Is it I just don’t see that that that’s ever going to happen. I just don’t see it. Like you don’t think like they’re owned by a TV company and you can’t tell me that other than dieh hard fans people are watching this. But, you know, like we’re we’re dieh hard fans, but like I’m get a I’m at a point where I’m like I’m just getting sick of the player personnel to a point where I’m like I’d rather watch like give me 10 dudes from the Marlies that play hard every night. I’d almost like I don’t give a [ __ ] about Knander and and Matthews anymore. I don’t care. I’ve seen them fail too many times that I don’t give a [ __ ] about those [ __ ] guys anymore and Riley and pick like the leaders. I don’t care. I want N around. I want Cowan around. build around [ __ ] those guys. Give me five or eight dudes from the [ __ ] Marlies that [ __ ] go out and play their [ __ ] work their balls off every [ __ ] shift. I’d rather that I’d rather just watch that every night to be honest. That’s where I’m at as a Leaf band. This is It’s crazy. It’s [ __ ] crazy. Like you want to see a team? Just give me something.
