  4. For real though Stafford has been this dog since his TX days and I say this as a CA boy. At Georgia he did the SAME SHIT. He just got drafted into a garbage org and spent 12 years hidden in Detroit having to be superman to remotely compete and still lose, still get hit, broken and fight. Dude earned everything on NFL film and the Rams knew what they were getting when they traded Goff and everything away to get Stafford. Goff will get you to the SB but not win it. Stafford will get you to the SB, make it look sexy along the way and hug his wife and kids in the confetti. Had Stafford not been drafted to the Lions he'd be a hall of famer already. Moving to the Rams propelled him to a gold jacket and now a household name. When he hangs it all up, he will be one of the last "greats", pocket passers who read a defense. Most modern QBs are option QBs who use their feet to make plays. They take hits though, and only the pocket kings get to play until they're 40. The new blood option QBs are done by 34. So after another 10 years of option QBs all salting the earth by their early 30s we'll see a cyclical emergence of the pocket passers once again. Well, if any aspiring QB wants longevity in the league, meaning a paycheck until they're 40 they better NOT plan to get hit. 1% of high school players make it to D1. 1% of D1 players make it to the league and … most of those 1%ers last on average ~2 years on the PRACTICE SQUAD. Meaning, the best player in any state and at point in their lifetime is a practice squad dude who earns the league minimum for two years. Thats $400k.. and thats not retiring mama.

    If you want to get the bag, you have to avoid getting hit and outsmart everyone around you. There are 22 year olds coming for your job, every year.

In what world is a QB who has a SB ring, top 10 all time in touchdowns, passing yards, fastest to 35k, 40k, 45k, 50k, and 60k passing yards, 50 game winning drives, 39 4th Quarter comebacks, and 2nd most passing yards in a single postseason ever not a HOFer? Just straight disrespectful to Stafford. Dude has been overlooked his entire career.
